Quiet rustic cabin perched above Ocqueoc Lake

AngelaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Penny was amazing! The cabin was perfect with everything we needed. We arrived way later than what we intended on due to traffic and Penny was in constant communication with us during our trip. She even left the porch and kitchen lights on for us since we were arriving well after dark. Penny lives right next door, so if we ever needed anything, it was taken care of almost immediately. She would even let us know when she was going to be gone for a bit so we were aware. I enjoyed sitting on the back patio each morning with my coffee listening to the birds and other wildlife. So relaxing! My husband and son took the row boat out a few times and went fishing. We even did a bonfire our last night there and made smores. Couldn't have asked for a better or more relaxing stay. Thank you for your hospitality, Penny!

Cozy Cabin Escape w/ Sauna, FirePit on Lake Huron

AlexaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Michael’s cabin on the shore of Lake Huron! It was just what we were looking for - somewhere off the beaten path that felt like a remote getaway. The home is very family friendly with games, books and activities for our kids and the very cool sauna for adults! We enjoyed the kayaks and walking the beach. The house was very clean and comfortable - we found the waffle maker useful too! Thanks for a great stay!

Cozy A-Frame Cabin on the shores of Lake Huron

AlexRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Spent almost a week here. Great place. Beautiful shoreline. Cozy and well styled cabin. Didn't even want to play any music or watch any shows. We just set by the fire, or inside, by the window, when it would get chilly outside - listened to the waves and the wind and watched the lake.

Little Dipper

WayneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a very nice place to stay. It had the home away from home feel and was very clean. Apparently, shortly before our arrival, they had a major ice storm in the area which blocked the path to Lake Huron a little, but we were able to weave in between the downed branches to get to the beach. This was the second stop, and second Great Lake, on my wife's and my 20th anniversary/Great Lakes tour (we were visiting 4 of the 5 Great Lakes on this trip). The house is walking distance to Lake Huron. This side of Michigan is very remote, but Rogers City (a cute little town) and Ocqueoc Falls are pretty close. We decided to also visit Lake Michigan and Lake Superior while we were here. The Mackinaw Bridge View Park (sitting on Lake Michigan) was about an hour or so away, but Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (Lake Superior) was quite a little bit further. If I planned a little better, I might have added another day to do that. The Lake Huron shoreline is very beautiful.
