We loved staying out at the ranch. Very beautiful forest surrounded & a big open sky - the place is huge, so plenty of space for exploring & walks. Stephanie (the host) is a lovely and warm person - she was proactive and helpful with local recommendations (and when we were sick!). She also owns many horses, and the ranch provides the opportunity to lean horsemanship & riding - I highly recommend riding in the forest! Overall - I’d very much recommend. The cabin itself it very peaceful & cute, everything you need for cooking, and a great fire that warms the place up at night. Thanks again Stephanie! Firstly— this home is a gem. We immediately felt at home. The house was pristine, and cozy, decorated with local art and charm and the welcome bottle of wine was a great touch after a long day of travel. Ingrid is an incredible host and was extremely responsive and attentive to our needs. The house its self is more than lovely, with everything you need for a cozy stay. Bed and linens were perfect. We stayed for a month, Ingrid offered complimentary weekly cleaning and replacement of toiletries, coffee, filtered water etc., which was an unexpected and lovely service. WiFi was excellent for remote work! There are a few local stores within a 5-10 minute walk for essentials, local organic eggs, toilet paper, etc. Taxis can take a little to get to you so call ahead but they are plenty, and we mostly didn’t have a problem getting into town. This home is perfect for a long stay. We plan to return for another memorable stay in San Cris!
