Cabin holiday rentals in Mountain City

I stayed here for 5 nights and had an amazing time! The place was spotless and beautiful. I loved the quiet setting and screened in porch. Close to Grayson Highlands for hiking, also checked out Mount Jefferson and Paddy Mountain hiking areas- absolutely gorgeous. Popped into the Old Orchard Creek general store in Lansing and got a delicious scone & some gifts. There was an awesome craft fair on Saturday in Lansing also. Brunch at Oldhouse Goods/ Third Day Kitchen is highly recommended if you head into West Jefferson! Service is spotty in the area so download maps before you go. WiFi at the house is great, plus there’s a landline phone for emergencies which eased my mind. Overall loved my time here!

This place was great. Wonderful views. Private and quiet. Non-stop hummingbirds visiting the feeder on the deck.

Exactly what my family needed to relax and recharge! The cabin was super clean at check in. It was also bigger than I expected and had plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The views from the porch were breathtaking. Can't beat having coffee in the hot tub watching the sunrise. We enjoyed hiking, floating down the river and ended each night with s'mores around the campfire. The town was cute with lots of shops and great ice cream. Host was super responsive and gave detailed instructions prior to our visit. Quick to respond when I asked for local recommendations. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Everything we wanted. If all you want to hear and see is nature then this is the place. Amazing property with beautiful views.

Jeremy's place was a wonderful place to relax during a busy wedding weekend. It's 20 minutes from Sky Retreat, the wedding venue we used. I highly recommend Jeremy's place for a place to relax. The views were beautiful, we saw bunnies and deer, and the firepit was delightful!

I visited Donnie & Whitney's place for a little getaway with one of my dogs. It was private and peaceful but didnt make me feel uncomfortable as someone traveling alone. I had no issues getting to their place in a small SUV. The cabin is really close to a spot you can hang out by the river - I would recommend checking that out if you have time!

Kay’s home is truly beautiful and has any and everything you could possibly think of!! We enjoyed our stay so much!! I shared some photos on my social media pages and everyone is asking for the link to come visit!! 😇😇😇 Thank you so much Kay!!

Lauren’s place was amazing! We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night and the kids loved the hot tub and ping pong table. Everything was clean and lots of chairs for the entire family. It is tucked back into the woods so it was quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed watching several deer walk past a few times. I’m highly recommend Lauren’s cabin.

Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! Richard is an excellent host who obviously wants his guests to have the best stay possible. Our personal favorites were the outdoor areas. The surrounding are so beautiful and peacful, and Richard's home provides a gazebo, porch with sofa, fire pit, and deck dining which we loved. If you want a cozy cabin in the mountains, Richard's place is for you!

Great location close to town, but outside the noise. Birds in the morning, could watch the clouds from the huge deck all day. Fire table was perfect after a rainy day of hiking. Board games, TV, hope to stay longer next time!

Staying at Sandy's place for the weekend was convenient to be able to hike in the surrounding area. The cabin was cozy, the bed was comfortable and the amenities in the common area were very nice! I really enjoyed sitting on the covered porch during the rain just listening to the frogs sing. The rain shower was fantastic! The hot water felt great even though it was a little cool outside. Definitely recommend and hope to return in the future!

This is our second time staying at this lake perfection. Already planning the next trip! The house is truly perfect in every way and has so many amenities that help to make it the most relaxing and fun stay! Wonderful location, well stocked home, best view and space to completely unwind!

Due to the floods last year the driveway looked rough at midnight when we arrived, but it was fine. There were activities in the cabin for littles, which we didn't need, but it would be great for families with littles for sure. The kitchen was supplied with pans for cooking, dishes and silverware for eating. There was a blanket for the dogs so they could sit and sleep with us like at home. The porch overlooks the river and the sound of the water was super relaxing.

If you have a chance to stay at Scott’s place I would absolutely recommend you do so. This is a beautiful, peaceful very unique place - everything you need in a lovely, simple package. Also close to Grayson Highlands and Doughton State Park.

The A-frame with a huge patio is completely surrounds by trees is the prefect mountain get away but also very close to town. Very stylish and picturesque.

Beautiful mountain cabin just a few minutes from great hiking at Paddy Mtn State Park and Mt. Jefferson! Very quiet with deer hanging out in the front yard every day! Gary and Kari are great hosts - lots of great suggestions and very responsive.

Jerre and Madeline were extremely kind. The space was clean, and they had a folder of places to visit in the area and a lot of other helpful information. They helped us check in and showed us around a bit. We would visit again and highly recommend for others!

We had the best time, taking in all things: the goats, the view, amazing sunrises, the lovely porch, hiking on property, the peace and tranquility. We had everything we needed inside. My kids loved the upstairs - each having their own space but still together. I can only hope and pray to be back again someday!

This was a favorite Airbnb. When you think of everything you can imagine provided. It was!!!! So beautifully decorated. Everything cozy to make you feel right at home. Clear instructions on how to use everything was so helpful. A beautiful new deck that overlooked the mountains with incredible views. A goody basket was provided...so thoughtful. Everything was absolutely perfect. Oh...comfortable beds, great linens, soft towels etc. Definitely hope to visit again soon.

This was by far the most beautiful place we have ever been too. The views are of epic proportions the cabin was clean and comfortable. We didnt want to leave. If you are looking for a peaceful quiet getaway there is none better. The location is a good distance from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg or pigeon forge but thats what we were looking for, for our honeymoon. Suba's is excellent dining if looking for a wonderful meal.

We stayed here in September and returned for Trail Days with 3 of our adult kids! They LOVED the place as much as us and want to return again. There is nothing more priceless than the peace that this cabin and location have to offer. The cabin is roomy, the beds are comfortable, and having two bathrooms is priceless with 5 adults! James is the best host and very responsive. You will not be disappointed with this cabin, the location and views, and the hiking and biking! VA Creeper Trail and Grayson Highlands State Park are absolute must dos while here as well as spending time in the town of Damascus. We can’t wait to return to this cabin and Damascus!

We had a nice stay. The host had coffee pods, waters in the frig and nice things available to make an easy place to land for the night.

10 stars. Pictures are accurate, except for the view. The pictures don't do it justice. We loved exploring with the utility vehicle, my girls loved the animals, we all loved the views and the fire pit. Watching the clouds change and the light shift over the mountains from the gazebo was so peaceful and so beautiful. We all agreed that the owners are very generous to share their property with others. Allowing the working class families a chance to enjoy an affordable vacation/glamping experience like that is such a blessing!! Book it already!
