We are centrally located to major attractions but be careful if sightseeing, adventure, or family fun is on your agenda. Once you are here, you might not want to leave. Uniquely decorated with large windows and a great view of the pastures and distant mountains, your sanctuary is only 6 miles to Damascus, VA, 45 min. to Boone, NC, and 25 min. to Abingdon, VA. Enjoy the Cherokee National Forest trail leading to a double waterfall!

The Green Cabin (with the Red Cabin and Gathering Pavilion) provides a wonderful glamping experience for family and friends to gather in a beautiful, natural environment; enjoying a waterfall, small stream, and group fire ring. While we encourage renting the cabins together, we do rent them individually (with the pavilion becoming a shared space to be enjoyed by both cabins). Our 750 sq ft. Cabin offers WiFi, streaming TV, central AC and heat, fully stocked kitchen, coffee provided, towels, comfortable bed and quality linens. We are 1/2 mile from the North Fork of New River. It's a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy the mountains. Dogs welcome.

The North Star Dome

Camp on our pick-your-own flower farm & petting zoo! This is camping, elevated with style & comfort. We provide the climate controlled dome, comfy bed (bring your own sheets), griddle, and basic supplies. Bring your own queen size bedding/sleeping bags, water, cooler, & firewood. Rustic outdoor shower is OPEN till October 1st! The Dome is nestled on our farm's off-grid hilltop, with tremendous mountain views. There are trails, farm animals to visit, & seasonal flowers/veggies to pick!

The Bungalow at Grandpa's Mountain

The Bungalow is a cozy not-so-tiny home at 420 sq ft. A 16x20 Gothic Arched building designed and built by the owner. Besides a fully equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, and comfortable sleeping quarters, you will find wonderful amenities outside! Views of mountains, pasture, and woods. Relax in a hammock or tell your secrets to Drifter the horse. Often Mr Groundhog or the Deer family will visit, too. The Bungalow at Grandpa's Mountain is a quiet getaway.
