Ski-in/Ski-out holiday rentals in Mississippi River

Fabulous place with walking trails by the river right across the street. Very cozy bed and linens. Well stocked kitchen and welcome snacks- always a nice touch. Perfect for two as there is only one bathroom. In nice weather we would have enjoyed the beautiful deck and yard. Hosts are delightful and great communicators.

This place was AMAZING! The view was beautiful and interior was one of the best places we have stayed. The personal touches at check in we very welcoming. Pamela was a very proactive host and felt if we needed anything she would help right away. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

We loved the view of Little Green Lake from the dining area, and from the living room, and from right by water's edge on the small deck. Just so peaceful and beautiful! Enjoyed a few sunsets as well. Kitchen was well equipped, had everything you might need. House was located on a quiet road, so we were able to take several walks. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice overall stay. Private location and peaceful. The outdoor space could have been cleaned up more prior to our arrival. Indoor space was nice and tidy. 15 minutes to the softball fields.

Our stay was wonderful! The layout was excellent, and we all had plenty of room. There's a large fire pit in the backyard with plenty of room for outdoor games and a great view of the ski hill. We enjoyed our time and would love to vacation there in the future.

This place was functional for what we needed for a week long stay. The host was very responsive and ready to go above and beyond for us to have a comfortable stay. We may be returning next year!

We had a wonderful week at John’s cabin! The cabin had everything we needed and more - no detail was overlooked! We were so comfortable and relaxed our entire stay. The kids enjoyed the beach and private dock. Many fish were caught (mainly perch and sunnies). There was a bonus green grass space for the kids to run and play catch, etc. We enjoyed s’mores around the fire and relaxing on the amazing rocking chairs on the deck. The cabin is a short drive from all the main area attractions and Baxter is right down the road when we needed the suburban comfort shopping. ;) We rented a pontoon on Gull Lake, went hiking around a nearby trout stream, went to the zoo, Ernie’s and Pirate’s Adventure Golfing. When asked what the favorite part of the trip was, our kids said “being at the cabin.” We hope to make it an annual tradition!

My group has been cross-country skiing at ABR for more than 20 years. We like to rent a house on the trails. This was our first time at Saari House. The second week in March was late in the season for skiing, but we skied in the mornings and snowshoed in the afternoons. Being right off the Blueberry Bluffs trails was nice. The house is charming, with lots of natural light. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a dining room table that seats 6. There is just one bathroom but that was fine for our group of four women. One bedroom is on the main floor, off the cozy living room. The second floor has the second bedroom, plus an extra room with a pull-out couch. It was nice to have plenty of large towels, and a washer/dryer in the bathroom. There is a small wooden deck around the front of the house. You enter through a mud room with plenty of room to store your boots and hang clothes. We look forward to a visit here next winter!

Cozy and charming lower level. Beautiful view of the lake - including swans - with a path down the hill to the dock! Easy to get to the highway to go wherever we wanted to. Great recommendations for places to go and to eat.

Wonderful stay in the springtime. Gorgeous patio and main areas. Very close to Lake Namekagon and river fishing. Highly recommend for looking at a place in Northern WI.

Wow the place is much bigger than the photos show!!!! We saw maybe two or three bugs over the three nights we were there — which is to be expected when the place is next to the woods. The area is absolutely gorgeous. And do check out the Ski-Hi Farm that they own up the hill!

We had a great time staying at this house in Lake Linden. Very cute old house.

Kate and Scot have a groomed connector to the Rib Lake ski trails, which are some of the best we've ever been on. Forest Springs, Rusch Preserve, and Timm's Hill trails (plus a few others) can all be accessed via this trail system and everything is well-marked. Kate and Scot were such accommodating hosts. They kept us updated on the trail grooming and even had the sauna going for us when we were done skiing each day. At the same time, they were very respectful of our privacy. The loft itself is cute, cozy, and very comfy. We had everything we needed for our short stay. Details like aromatherapy sprays, herbal teas, and thoughtful lighting really elevated our time in the loft. The bed was very comfortable and, a big plus for us, there were lots of cozy places to curl up with a book. Overall, we had a wonderfully relaxing and fun time. We felt like we were at our own private XC ski resort. Highly recommend for a winter getaway.

We needed to be near Trego and I was so happy to find such a cute place so close. The Eddy was full of thoughtful touches and you can tell the hosts take pride in it. We would definitely stay again.

Located on the Wolverine ski trails was awesome. Winter wonderland in a fantastic setting and was truly magical during snow storms. Our two dogs were equally impressed

This was our second year at Compostela. We loved it just as much as the first time. It's wonderfully secluded and kitchen is pretty well stocked. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. It is so peaceful, makes it hard to go back home.

White Tail Lodge exceeded our expectations! The house is huge, although the main floor living and kitchen area was where the 10 of us spent most of our time, there were plenty of places to take a little break from the group. The house and property has so many amenities, they're all in the listing but when you're there, it's like, wow! Super clean, and beautiful but not so fancy that you feel afraid to live in it - it feels homey, not ostentatious. Bedrooms are roomy and beds comfortable, and the closets are massive! The kitchen is well-appointed for cooking, and there are a good variety of spices but unlike some places there aren't other staple items like cooking oil so don't forget that! Stacy does a great job as a host, her communication is prompt and clear, there are clear written instructions in a binder at the property. She even left mixed nuts and truffles as weelcome gifts! All 10 of us loved White Tail Lodge, we're already booking for next year! :-)

If you're looking for the "perfect" resort with no imperfections...this is NOT the place for you. But...if you're looking for someplace that has just the right balance of low key summer camp meets comfy creature comfort filled cabins that have a BEAUTIFUL view of Lake Augusta...then this IS the place. Max's cabin was perfect for us ( my husband and I) along with two dogs, crates and gear. Loved the loft sleeping space, and the bed on the main level looks directly out onto the lake. You can't beat it. And clean...SO clean! Felt like we were the first guests. Oh...I did not think to bring a hair dryer...because really do you need it at "camp." but some extras like that may not be included so be sure to take a full list of the amenities. Oh! We hit Octoberfest at the local Spilled Grain Brewery! Tons on Tap! And the Tin Roof Candle Company in town also my favorite!! All locally poured! Would 100% recommend all of the above!

stayed for a drs appointment close by and it was a great choice. very peaceful and relaxing. Jeffrey was quick to respond and very nice. daughter LOVED the cherry tree. the last bit of the drive leading to the cabin is a little rough but no issues in our charger. Will definitely be back to stay.

Beautiful getaway in the woods. We loved the sauna, wood stove, trails, and charm of the cabin. The kitchen was well supplied and it was a pleasure to cook there. Lovely sunlight throughout. We definitely hope to return.

Staying at the Belden Farm was an absolute dream. Sasha and I came here for a weekend away but it felt like stepping into a different world. It was a very peaceful and serene experience, tapping into nature and one another. We were very grateful to be able to be detached from our usual lives. We had endless fireside chats and marshmallow roasts by the meadow. Nature was plentiful, and the cabin was amazing. The sauna is a game changer. Tighe was an incredibly accommodating and friendly host. Would highly recommend this experience.

We loved our stay at the Chippewa Cabin! It was a peaceful relaxing start to the summer. Great kitchen and dinning area to gather as a family. The open concept surrounded you with beautiful views from all around the cabin. It was very family friendly. Our 2yr old loved playing with the toys provided, play-set and exploring the river shore.
