Chalet holiday rentals in Mississippi River

Good spot, nice place for the price. We had a small mix-up with getting back in, but Tim was very responsive and got it handle immediately.

We were looking for waterfalls and hiking. Phil's place was in the perfect location to find numerous opportunities for both. The cabin itself was well outfitted, comfortable and spacious for the four of us. Loved the hot tub, grill, and fire pit. Phil and Tracy were very responsive and great with communication both before and during our stay. It was cold for a June date and we had an issue with the furnace. Phil and Tracy were so helpful even to the point of coming to check it and getting a repairman there in short order.

We loved our 3rd stay at Mia’s Black Dog Lodge. It is very clean and well-supplied. The lodge fits our needs for a small ladies retreat perfectly.

Great condo, wonderful location, Jon was amazing at answering any questions, and we love that it’s pet friendly.

Greg’a place was very clean with a lovely view of the river. The heated floors and useable fireplace made the space extra special. Would stay here again.

Very clean! Had everything we needed except an outdoor grill, but that's on me for not reading the amenities list close enough. Very comfortable and spacious with beautiful wooded surroundings. The chalet is located closer to Hwy 13 than I realized so some traffic noise, but not bad. Could still appreciate the quietness of the area. Ideal location as it is only a 2-mile drive to Bayfield, and close to the Fruit Loop drive. Spent time at the community beach enjoying the views of Lake Superior. The host quickly responded to any questions we had with friendly and detailed information. Would highly recommend!

Varsha was a very responsive host that answered all my questions. Check in and check out institutions were very clear and easy to follow. A very cozy environment that feels like home. This was a beautiful home with beautiful views and it was a great place for our family to spend some time together after a wedding.

The place had everything we needed and had two outdoor spaces to enjoy which we value in an Airbnb. A touch less private than I expected, I’d say, and lawn work noise throughout the Saturday we were there (no fault of the host!). But it was definitely clean, comfy, had a well-equipped kitchen with a blender/full-sized coffee maker/good knives, and was a great deal. Holly was also very kind to extend our reservation a day due to a family emergency.

The home is beautiful and well-appointed with fabulous views. It was peaceful and tranquil. Our only disappointment was that the house was not clean. It had not been vacuumed, the base of one door to the porch was covered in ladybugs that we had to step over until we swept them, and the bathrooms were not clean either. I would highly recommend the place, despite its not being clean. The location is nice, being close enough to Mt. Vernon that you can reach restaurants and the art museum within 10-15 minutes. But you can also stay put and enjoy the lake, the views, and the well-appointed home.

Beautiful house, well styled, and had everything we needed except ice (which wasn’t a big deal). The only thing I found to be frustrating was the placement of electrical switches. They were labeled but always located in random illogical places. Some switches were labeled do not touch and when you’re fumbling around in the dark flipping random switches it’s hard to avoid the ones you aren’t supposed to touch. Over all we had a great stay so I didn’t take any stars away for it.

We had a party of eight adults and three dogs, and the Chalet, as advertised, was lovely. spacious, and the hosts were very accommodating. The Chalet has several areas, including the dining room and great room, where all of us could congregate together. We used the grill, fire, pit, and electric pontoon boat nearly every day, and all were nice amenities. We were also able to dine at the Rustic Pines Pub, Black Bear Bar, and Norwood Pines Supper Club, all of which are within 10-15 minutes of the Chalet and provided for convenient, fun evenings out for our group. It was an enjoyable, easy vacation and we intend to visit again. Thank you, Eric & Genevieve!

The place was great and Luke was responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. Glad to recommend it to anyone considering renting this house.

We appreciated the view, the use of the boat and kayak, and the comfortable living room/TV area.

This place will always hold a special place in my heart. Hosted a wonderful bachelor weekend with 10 of my best friends. We also utilized the cottage adjacent to the chateau. Everyone slept comfortably and we all felt at home from the jump. The grill was out of commission but fortunately they had a backup Blackstone that worked perfectly for our grill outs. We loved the boat dock and downstairs basement where we watched our Pacers win an epic Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Incredible weekend get-a-way and my compliments to the hosts.

We decided to stay at the lake house for our daughters Spring Break. Unfortunately it was bad timing due to all the ongoing storms throughout the week. Luckily this house has plenty of games and lots to do Inside. We enjoyed our time and look forward to returning again very soon.

Megan’s place was the PERFECT place for our family’s first trip to Wisconsin! We love visiting the Dells (20 minute drive) but our favorite thing was just spending time at the Chalet. It’s extremely well-stocked and Megan has thought of absolutely everything travelers might need! And, the chalet itself is so beautiful and inviting. We can’t wait to go back! If you’re traveling to that area, book it! You will not be disappointed!

Emily's place was fantastic. She responded right away to questions I had before, during and after our stay. She even forewarned us about the roads leading to the house with the cruddy weather. The house is beautiful, just like the photos. The kitchen is fully stocked and there are plenty of towels for showers and the hot tub. Everything was clean and well cared for. Layout is perfect for larger families and groups of people looking for a quiet place to relax and have fun.

My family really enjoyed our stay at the Goose Lake cabin. Collectively, we had six adults and three children. There was plenty of space for us all, and each family had their own bathroom, which was great! The kitchen was well-equipped vs other rentals, and well organized/labeled. The playset & zipline in the backyard were a big hit with the kids, and visible from the windows so we could let them play and have adult time without worry. It was peaceful to watch over the lake and listen to the birds from the back deck. A few went out and enjoyed time with our kayak on the lake; the water was too shallow for us to fish from the dock, however. We enjoyed the hot tub at night, and appreciated that we didn't have to heat it up prior. The cabin is only about 10 min to Spooner, and we enjoyed some time lunching and bar hopping in town. One small wish was for there to be screens on the windows, as my husband and my room (upper floor) got a little warm. Overall, it was a great stay!!

Beautiful home on a beautiful property. It was peaceful and relaxing and everything we needed and we loved it so much we’ve already rebooked! Rainie was amazing, anytime I had any concern, concerns or questions She responded to me within minutes.

The cabin itself was fantastic. Clean and accommodated our family of 6 including a pet well. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The cabin was cozy and had great finishes. We enjoyed the fire pit and provided firewood. It was a fantastic tough having a fire going when we arrived. A couple of things to consider that are not necessarily in the owners control but helpful: the water off the dock is extremely weedy and not conducive to swimming or bobber fishing for kids. We are a tad disappointed in that. The lawn area was quite mushy given the lake was high so was practically unusable this time of year. Fishing was also pretty rough but likely due to high water and time of year. Again, time of year and not due to anything the owners can control for all the above. We enjoyed the two kayaks, canoe and paddle boat provided. The grill was a little banged up but got the job done. Overall the owners have a very well kept, cozy cabin that is very charming

Kyle and Tara were wonderful hosts! They were very accommodating, attentive and welcoming!! We were able to host thanksgiving for my family with ease and had everything we needed to prepare the meal. The lake house is a very cozy and welcoming home that is very well cared for! Thank you so much to our hosts!

Jill was very responsive and accommodating. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and serve with. There were 2 refrigerators and freezers giving us room for drinks and food. The house was versatile, homey yet elegant and unique. It was secluded and offered several outdoor settings for entertainment i.e. boat dock with ladder and kayaks, fire pit, a deck on 3 levels, and a carport that also allowed for being outside even if it was raining. We loved it!

This is our second time to stay at Jamie’s lake house, and it was just as amazing and awesome as the first. Our family has quickly come to love making forever memories here, and our kids absolutely love coming here. The location and amenities are way above average. Kayaking, swimming, grilling, golf cart, playing games and most of all relaxing. Favorite part is kayaking out on the lake at dusk - so relaxing. The lake access is incredible, and the house itself is always pristine and clean with well stocked bathrooms and kitchen items. Thank you Jamie for another amazing stay! We will be back again!
