We were expecting a nice place, but didn't quite expect how great it would be. The Loft Suite is incredible, the interior design is unique. Don't let the dark paint put you off, a lot of thought has gone in to the many features you will find. The Retreat down by the river feels like a little beach house. The garden is massive, there's a lot of great feature there too. We needed a quiet break away from home and this delivered in so many ways. Great value for what you get, and Larry & Kerry are amazing hosts. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

We stayed for a month, and it was perfect. Plenty of space to make ourselves at home, but with enough homely touches (including one of the most impressive book collections I've seen) to not feel like we were living in an empty shell. The location is okay; the lovely sound of birds at the back makes up for the sound of cars at the front. Close enough to walk to a supermarket and there is a beautiful park nearby. Didn't need much more than that. A couple of issues that arose with the house, nothing major, but Nick (and his mum) was super responsive and helpful. All in all, great stay.

Just back from a long weekend at Iain and Judy's lovely place. It's really cute and quirky, just what you want from an old cottage. We really appreciated all the nice touches that were included (tea and coffee, butter, croissants, jam and crumpets for breakfast, fans and heaters to keep us comfy, lots of throw pillows on the sofa etc) We got very lucky with the weather so were able to make use of the deck and garden (lovely and peaceful) as well as doing lots of walking with our dog Ruby. Judy was very kind even when Ruby started shouting at her through the fence! 10/10, we thoroughly recommend a stay here.
