Perfect place for the family

A really beautiful place to stay while visiting the north shore. Easy to find, clean, comfortable, and such a nice view from the hostel. The view of the stars at night is fantastic as well. It was pretty snowy while visiting and the driveway and parking area were plowed wonderfully. I'd stay in this cozy hostel again in a heartbeat!

Cost stay with a great view of Lake Superior and a fun farm atmosphere. We will be back for sure

Always have enjoyed staying here. It's clean, affordable, and has a beautiful view. If you are sensitive to noise then bring a white noise device (or play white noise on YouTube on your phone like I do).

The unit above the main lodge, served our needs for a couple of nights. Loved hearing the loons at dusk from our windows. The weather was not too good, otherwise we would’ve made use of the paddleboard and canoes. we would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Plus, Adam came to our rescue when our rental car had a dead battery…

Very nice place. Didn't stay long but enjoyed the overnight.

Amazing experience for for myself, my son, and my mother. We experienced the fun of the resort, the peace of the location on the water, the Joy of sunsets in the doc, clean water to look into, and fish catching right out in front of the resort...We rented their boats, close enough to town still for any supplies and even to order food for delivery from town one night. For any runners, the road along the lake and how far you can travel on it is a paradise. Great experience!

Close to MAYO and some great restaurants. Don’t forget to make reservations to Ruth Chris’ Steakhouse the food and service are amazing.

Very accommodating and helpful front desk, we had a great stay! Clean room and breakfast was fantastic. Will be back!

This was a perfect place to stay for a quick night away after a Timberwolves game. We got two connecting rooms which was perfect for the kids in one and the adults in the other. Everything was clean and the boys enjoyed the pool. Brady the attendant was absolutely fabulous!! Would definitely recommend. Just a heads up, bring your own ping pong paddles and a ball if you want to play that in the pool room!

We had a great stay at Hotel Bemidji! We had the pool to ourselves and had a great night of sleep. Will definitely stay here again of we are in town.

Our stay with 14 (8 adults, 6 kids) people was very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and game room immensely. The bike/walking path nearby was a plus as well as the lake with available options to boat, fish, swim. The only thing we were expecting that we did not have supplied was foil/plastic wrap. So, if we visit again we'll remember to bring those things! The atmosphere was friendly, our space was perfect inside and out: the screen porch and patio were a plus. We didn't use the fire ring because weather didn't allow, it was nice to have it as an option. God bless you all at Lake Darling Resort! We're glad we met you!

Was just what was needed.

Wonderful stay. Premises were great - close to the beach with access to kayaks and canoes. Kids loved the sa'mores and though we didn't use it, the sauna looked beautiful. Fun for families or couples, etc.

We stayed two nights in the Whalen Room. It was perfect for our girls weekend get away. The room was small but was all we needed. The room had a small fridge that we used and it was nice having the bike storage. The room was very clean and we took advantage of the beautiful outdoor space with plenty of seating. The property is very close to the bike trail for easy access. In the mornings we would go into the coffee commons where we could get coffee and we filled our water bottles with ice and water. For breakfast we ate at the coffee shop in town(Paddle on) Which is also owned by Ryan and Allie. Good food and coffee. Make sure you stop in there! For dinner we ate across the street at Juniper's, highly recommended. Our whole experience was excellent. Thank you Ryan and Allie. We hope to stay again.

It's a nice, clean bedroom and bathroom - exactly as described.

I am originally from Grand Rapids, and we stayed here for two nights. The complete renovation and updates to this place are beyond beautiful! There is a Yurt with games, tv, hangout, fireplace, and plenty of room to hang out in all year long. There is a sauna included. The pet fee was only 15 bucks, which is more than reasonable, with areas to take them out. Playing bags outside, fire pits, grilling, convenience…..this place has it all. Bar and restaurant onsite, they have already made a name around town for themselves with their breakfast crepes….and did I mention every guest there gets a $10 breakfast credit every morning? Top notch. Absolutely worth the price, cheaper than any other hotel in town, I would highly recommend, cannot say enough good things. You will not be disappointed.

Great stay in the middle of nowhere! I stopped here after camping in the Badlands and it had everything I needed to clean up, make a good meal, and sleep deeply. Note: make sure you bring your own soaps for the bathroom/showering as there are none. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Second time staying at Wayne and Jill’s place. Everything was as expected, unit was very clean and had everything you need for a great vacation. The golf course is also very nice and well maintained. You can’t find a better place to stay!

It was perfect and clean. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.
