“The cottage is such a nice Vineyard retreat. You cannot beat the location. The neighborhood is charming and allows for just a quick walk to Vineyard Haven. The cottage is so well appointed. It has a relaxed, comfortable style that so suits MV. It provides a wonderful kitchen for anyone wanting to create a feast! We had everything we needed for our Christmas dinner. The bedrooms are a nice size and the beds are very comfy. The backyard is even more spacious than we imagined. I could imagine lovely evenings by the fire pit if the weather wasn’t quite as wintry. As a host, Jim is very responsive and accessible. He provides all of the amenities one needs for a fun vacation, whether you want to play games in the yard or settle in by the fire for a game of Clue. My family and I would definitely choose the Cottage again and again.”

“Marilyn was a Gem! She provided us with everything we needed to know about the island and it's surroundings, She kept us informed throughout the entire weekend with relevant information regarding food, places to visit, weather, detailed directions to restaurants, etc! She was very prompt and accurate in her responses and she just made our trip so much easier! The house was clean and gorgeous inside and out! There's so much lighting coming in from all the windows of the house and the outdoor space was just incredible. We rented some bikes and went around town sightseeing which was a great idea because there's so much beauty in this town! I am definitely coming back soon!”

“This guesthouse is one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed, inside and out. Stephanie is an artist and has created a harmonious and serene nest for visitors. The nearby Middle Road is an unusually beautiful drive, and the nearby Lucy Vincent and Gay Head beaches are spectacular. Stephanie is a lovely and gracious and generous host. We talked with her twice and feel honored to have met her. My one concern before we came was that the guesthouse might seem too close to the main house, so that we'd feel like we were in her space too much, but that turned out not to be true at all. The guesthouse has lots of windows on three sides, but none facing the main house and its gardens. We kept all the windows open and loved the garden views and the breezes coming through, and felt totally private. If you're looking for a centrally located place from which to explore the whole island, any Chilmark AirBnB isn't for you. If you're looking to do lots of cooking, you'd probably find this kitchen a bit minimalist -- it's great for making breakfast and coffee, but has no oven or microwave and a relatively small assortment of implements. But if you're looking for quiet, comfort, and beauty, I highly recommend this guesthouse.”
