I welcome quiet, mature guests as this is a very peaceful (non-party)environment. We are located on a scenic road in sophisticated Dover, Ma, a commuter/country setting, with miles of hiking trails and roads ideal for cycling. I have owned and loved this home for 35 years and take great joy in its charm and outdoor spaces.

Join us for a step back in time at our unique bucolic property. Set on a scenic road, the post and beam farmhouse was built in 1780 and offers a haven of peace and tranquillity after a busy day of exploring New England. Guests have a private entrance and wind their way up the period staircase to the second-floor suite with two bedrooms, a sitting room, a breakfast nook, and a bathroom. Enjoy your morning coffee outside on the Adirondack chairs as you contemplate the charms of country living.

Just Be Cabin

Small, rustic cabin in the woods behind our home. The cabin has electricity, but no running water. Drinking and cooking water are provided from a hand pumped container. The cabin is a beautiful place to slow down, connect to nature and one's self. If you love to camp, you will love the cabin. It is the perfect locale for a personal retreat. We are happy to arrange a yoga class at our home studio as well. It is like a tree house, where all are welcome to come, simplify life and just be.

Historic Cobblestone Carriage House near Downtown

Enjoy a piece of history at this carriage house! Jonathan Bourne owned a mansion along with this home, and his son purchased a whaler, Lagoda, in 1841. The ship is currently displayed at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, which is walking distance; just four/five blocks of downtown New Bedford, where you can also enjoy shopping, great food, entertainment, and the ferry to either Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket. Kitchen sink, 2 burner stove, refrigerator, toilet and shower, one queen bed and twin bunk beds, dinette can also turn into a bed. Pots and pans, silverware and cooking utensils are provided. Camper has power and water as well as heat and air conditioning. There is a Blackstone griddle for outdoor cooking.
