What a wonderful home from home. It’s an extremely comfy farmhouse in a stunning setting with amazing attention of detail. The dinner we ordered was cooked to perfection - Kirsten’s home made rhubarb compote and sticky toffee pudding were exquisite! She even went the extra mile and made vegan version of everything for me. Cannot recommend more highly and we’ll definitely be back

Really, lovely, self contained cottage overlooking the Firth of Thames. The cottage is well appointed, clean, tidy and private with a comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our weekend, and the cottage was a welcome retreat at the end of a busy two days. We had some beautiful views out on the deck, and really enjoyed several visits from a beautiful plump Kingfisher and some fantails. The Pukorokoro Shorebird centre and the Robert Findlay Wildlife Reserve are very close and worth a visit. Thank you Barry and Liz !

A great place to stay for holidaying around the area or travelling through

I stayed at Whakatīwai for three nights while I was working in the area. Roimata and Hunter were absolutely wonderful hosts: friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for better location. The views from the Airbnb were stunning, and it was so lovely to go for morning and evening walks. Spotlessly clean. The wi fi was good, too. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
