Just WOW!! Blown away by how beautiful GBC is. Spotlessly clean, everything you need, and fantastic interior design. We have taken away some great ideas for our own homes. Location is the best…we didn’t have to get in the car, always a bonus. We hiked, cycled and swam (in the river) straight from the house. Views sitting in the garden are breathtaking and every evening, after an active day, we soothed our muscles in the hot tub with the fire pit on the go. We visited some lovely pubs within walking or cycling distance. Can’t wait to return…GBC definitely one of our happy places. Thank you so much Gavin and Viv.

The apartment is great and very comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good stay. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed walks to the lakes and also to trails which can be accessed from the from the front door.

Field House Lodge is such a lovely place to stay and I would recommend to anyone looking for a walking holiday with lots of walks nearby and straight from the front door. It is in a really beautiful, peaceful location, with an easy walking distance to Derwent water and lots to do nearby including walks from Rosthwaite into the valleys, the Bowder stone, Catbells and Lodore falls. Hazel had made our holiday super special as Field house lodge was immaculately clean and equipped with everything we needed for the week, even down to a little personalised welcome hamper with some tea, coffee, beer, biscuits etc. I really loved watching the birds on the feeder by the kitchen window and the lambs in the field just outside, and the whole place has a really quiet, relaxed feel to it. We will absolutely be back in the future! Thank you for a lovely holiday 😊

Me and my partner had an absolutely amazing experience here! The pod was beautifully decorated, containing everything you need for your stay. The location was also fabulous, with amazing views, adorable wildlife, and being closely situated to many popular hiking trails/ lakes. The host was lovely also, and provided a booklet with useful information which was great since it was our first time in the area. Absolutely could not recommend enough!!!
