Monthly Rentals in Little Salkeld

Lovely, spacious and light property with all the mod cons! It was so peaceful we didn't turn the TV on once. Really lovely decoration and clever use of the space, close to plenty of walks and all in all a lovely stay, thank you Erika.

Peter and Hilary were very friendly and approachable with good local knowledge. Woodpecker cottage was beautiful it was spotless and had everything we could possibly have wanted, the welcome pack was perfect and much appreciated as we had traveled so far. The village was lovely and quiet, well situated to visit the Lake District and the Pennines. The village pub was a two minute walk and served good food, the local shop was a five minute drive away and was well stocked. On Hilary’s recommendation we tried the bakery in a nearby village it was fantastic. Thank you Peter and Hilary for a fabulous stay in a wonderful cottage.

our only problem was the steepness of the hill. We hadn't realised that parking away from the property would necessitate a slog back uphill, an hubby can't manage hills(up or down) so was unable to visit the pubs. wouldn't stop up booking again, but might be helpful to others to know before booking.

What a fabulous little cottage this was. Absolutely spotless inside, beautifully furnished with everything you need. We were greeted personally by Sally who made us feel very welcome. We were visiting the Feel Good Festival and it rained a little on the Saturday. She gave us a knock to see if we had anything we'd like to dry in her boiler room. A super little place in a beautiful location with lots of walks around. Would thoroughly recommend. Thank you Sally :)
