Monthly Rentals in Little Asby

A beautiful place to stay, so peaceful and had everything we needed. The place was very well equipped and was spotless. Steve was a great host and the directions he gave us prior to coming helped us locate him. Would definitely recommend and would visit here again.

Lovely and peaceful setting down narrow country lanes, yet convenient for Appleby and the M6. The Lake District is about a half hour drive away but the Westmoreland Dales are stunning anyway. The friendly village pub serves good food and beer at modest prices. The cottage is very well equipped with a big bedroom and a fabulous shower in the adjacent bathroom. Only slight downside is that, being downstairs, the bedroom gets cold in less clement weather. However, there is central heating and a fan heater can be borrowed if really necessary. Kay went out of her way to ensure everything was fine for us.

Just got back from a two night stay for my birthday. Lovely drive to The Byre and easy to find! The first night was bad weather but we still made the most of it by going to The Fat Lamb for tea and then back to play board games by the log burner. The second day we made the most of the nicer weather by doing a nice hour walk and then walking to the King’s Arm’s for tea (defo recommend this if it’s sunny as you can sit and eat & drink by the river) The area is very peaceful and they have a lovely place which is great for couples. Enjoyed a lovely hot bath after a long walk & found the bed comfy. Great place if you’re into walking or just want somewhere to switch off from the world! Thank you again.

The most lovely stay at Town End Barn. I was only there for a short stay but it felt very homely and cosy, with so many lovely little touches. Everything has been thought about and everything you might need available. After a 26 mile hike it was a perfect place to come back to - and have a hot bath! So well located for exploring Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales. Thank you Jo!
