This beautiful home is located in the jungle and is an absolute masterpiece of a property. Seeing monkeys in the yard that you’re staying at was a really cool experience. The host was so helpful with recommendations on the way in and on the way out of town. Our car even broke down and he sent his assistant to be able to help us out. His assistant was able to get the car started and they refused to take any money from us. Beautiful house from beautiful people. So grateful.

Great place to stay. Katherine was very responsive and did all the arrangements before we arrive. People were waiting for us at the dock, very welcoming and took us to get home. Very Nice and cleaned home.

This was our 2nd stay at Casa Mar Y Selva and obviously we loved it enough to return in 3 months. It has an amazing view and wildlife is abundant. First day of our stay we literally didn't sit down much because we were up taking photos. We sat on the patio daily from 6am til sunset enjoying our surroundings, Relaxing and peaceful. Nicole is the TOPS when it comes to communicating and hosting. Always kind and friendly and shares with us local knowledge. Hope to return again soon. Thanks for everything.

Wow!! What a spectacular and beautiful home and experience. Agatha was the loveliest host with a beautiful home that she designed herself. The love and care she put into every aspect of this home and experience is 5 star. The views are jaw dropping and the time in the the infinity pool was epic. The home was spotless and very comfortable with an exceptional design. I cannot recommend this home enough! I would say it is probably one of the top homes in the area. Chris's place is very comfortable, and conveniently located to the beach and Cahuita downtown. There's a grocery store not far (maybe 15 min driving), and the kitchen is equipped for cooking meals. The beds are comfortable and the outdoor showers are amazing. The yard welcomes all sorts of wildlife as well - birds, agouti, and even a sloth presented itself! I would stay here again.

Stayed here for 8 days, and loved the house. Pre trip I was worried about the lack of AC but the fans they provide made it bearable. House was very clean when we arrived and they also offered a free cleaning halfway through which was perfect for us. We spent majority of our time on the comfy couches on the patio & in the pool. Saw many agotti, toucans, and butterflies from our place and loved the greenery. Would definitely recommend renting a vehicle if staying here, the road leading up is pretty steep and rocky. The howler monkeys and bugs can tend to get loud at times, I brought ear plugs because I'm a light sleeper and it helped a lot. The managing team was very responsive and answered all questions within 40 min or so even at night. Place is beautiful and definitely one of the better homes in the area.

Beautiful and comfortable home in a great location. The beach in front of the house is beautiful and easy to access. There are restaurants within walking distance and grocery stores a short drive away. The hosts were very nice and super responsive. It was nice that they met us on check in to explain the house and provide instructions. Would love to stay here again.

This is a truely unique experience! It was like living in an open air treehouse. It was an auditory feast. We SAW very little, but we HEARD a chorus of jungle species. Surprisingly few bugs came in but this place is for you if you are OK with that possibility. I really appreciated that the bedroom is a protected space. This place is located at the top of the hill with only one house above it so it is very private. It felt safe for parking and home security. Look for the tiny dart frogs right outside the house, orange ones & blue ones. Look for 2 trees with a stunning nursery for montezuma oropendula birds with 50+ nests at the intersection with the 'Tropical getaway' sign.

Great stay, wonderful AirBnb location within a few kilometers from a downtown area with plenty of restaurants and right across from a wonderful beach.

A large house with a stunning common space. Idyllic place surrounded by nature and priced beyond accessible. Totally recommended. Rosa and Dennis are very flexible and good hosts. We will be back.

Beautiful and quite large site right on the cliffs. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Nice pool and garden area. We had a nice and quiet stay for one night. Thank you both for having us, letting us play some music in the evening and especially for the very pleasant conversation in the morning with piña coladas :-)

We stayed at this property for several days and we couldn't be more grateful for the attention we received. From the first moment, the host was always available, attentive and willing to help us with any questions or needs we had. He responded quickly and with total clarity, which gave us a lot of peace of mind throughout the stay. The house is as shown in the photos: comfortable, clean, well-equipped and surrounded by nature. Ideal to rest and enjoy the surroundings. This stay was beyond perfect. The home was spotless, beautifully designed with high ceilings and seamless indoor-outdoor living thanks to massive sliding doors. It was stocked with everything imaginable—top-notch cookware, quality toiletries, even thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. With a child in tow, we appreciated how safe and comfortable the space was. You’re tucked into the rainforest mountains, so brief water or power outages can happen—something we expected and which was well communicated. It didn’t impact our stay in the slightest. Just be sure to have a 4x4 to access the area. Karl and Ivonka have truly created an oasis—every detail made us feel welcomed and cared for. If you’re like us and debating where to stay, trust that this one is even better than the photos. Nearby, Tagua Café is a gem, and the surrounding waterfalls and restaurants made the trip even more special. Truly unforgettable. Thank you!

Host was lovely and helped us when needed. A cute place to stay and very handy to have a contact for tuk tuk transportation and great Italian food when requested.

This is one of my favorite Air BnB stays. We stayed a week and loved it. The house is very tasteful and well appointed. It has lovely spaces and gardening all around. Beata was very responsive and helpful with local recommendations. I would return again and highly recommend a beach stay here.

Stuart’s place was an ideal location for a private and peaceful getaway. The property itself had great amenities - especially the pool and the surrounding landscape. It was centrally located to bars, restaurants and beaches in Uvita and two neighboring towns - but far enough away to feel like we were in the middle of the jungle. Stuart was a great host. His place definitely made our vacation!

This Airbnb in Puerto Viejo was a hidden gem—secure, peaceful, and tucked right in the middle of the jungle. One of the highlights was the nearby trail that led to a beautiful, secluded beach just a short walk away. Waking up to the sound of howler monkeys early in the morning was a wild and unforgettable experience—it really added to the jungle vibe. If you're looking for a nature-immersed stay with beach access and a sense of adventure, this place is a great pick.

We loved our stay here in Manzanillo - this is a quiet, peaceful location that feels very private yet close to the beach & nearby restaurants. We used the bikes to get to the beach (5 mins) - which was absolutely gorgeous. We saw several blue morpho butterflies through the nice look-out. Hosts were friendly & check-in was easy. We just wish we had more time here! We highly recommend this place to recharge and to stay in a rustic (yet nice!) Costa Rican jungle paradise.
