Ski-in/Ski-out holiday rentals in Lake Superior

This place was perfect for our family of 4 (all adult age). We had plenty of space, the beds and furniture were comfortable and the location quiet and peaceful. Watching the deer in the yard was an added bonus. We were there for an event, so did not cook, but the kitchen looked well stocked if we needed to. Lastly, I greatly appreciated the cleanliness of the house.

We arrived at the house in sub zero temperatures and were very happy to be inside the house with the wonderful radiant heated floors. Warm and cozy! Comfortable beds and warm blankets made for restful nights. The view of the bay is beautiful. Moon rising over the horizon reflected on the ice . We heard Great Horned Owls hooting in the distance. Next visit we hope to come in the summer or fall to walk around more and see the lake. Thanks again!

Great place and great hosts. The rental has one bedroom on the main floor, the other bedroom and bathroom are on the second floor. This was a super cozy place that was close enough to houghton, copper harbor, and Mt. Bohemian (which had a spectacular spa even during the off season). The kitchen was fully stocked which also came in clutch when all the local restaurants were booked for dinner. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Jess and Paul were really responsive, welcoming and made our guests feel at home. This luxurious north shore cabin, located on the lush mountain side of Pincushion Mountain, has a super peaceful atmosphere and convenient access to open trails. The cabin was super beautiful, clean and well stocked with amenities. The area was super commutable to restaurants, shops, and Lake Superior. I highly recommend staying here if you want a peaceful, easygoing, and adventurous vacation. This cabin is worth booking over and over again. Thank you again for the awesome stay!

I did end up doing most of the corresponding with one of the co-hosts, as Pam was not reachable from the phone number listed in their binder of notes/recommendations. Overall, I would say it was a really good location and home to stay in.

My group has been cross-country skiing at ABR for more than 20 years. We like to rent a house on the trails. This was our first time at Saari House. The second week in March was late in the season for skiing, but we skied in the mornings and snowshoed in the afternoons. Being right off the Blueberry Bluffs trails was nice. The house is charming, with lots of natural light. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a dining room table that seats 6. There is just one bathroom but that was fine for our group of four women. One bedroom is on the main floor, off the cozy living room. The second floor has the second bedroom, plus an extra room with a pull-out couch. It was nice to have plenty of large towels, and a washer/dryer in the bathroom. There is a small wooden deck around the front of the house. You enter through a mud room with plenty of room to store your boots and hang clothes. We look forward to a visit here next winter!

Our stay at Mark and Jamie's place could not have been better. The home was extremely clean, the kitchen well stocked, the decor beautiful, and the outside amenities wonderful. We felt right at home the minute we stepped into the living area. Thanks, Jamie and Mark, for our stay in the Duluth area - you made our vacation special. Wonderful stay in the springtime. Gorgeous patio and main areas. Very close to Lake Namekagon and river fishing. Highly recommend for looking at a place in Northern WI.

I have so many positive things to say about this home. Barbara is a fantastic host, her son is helpful and friendly. The home, pond, gazebo and acreage are amazing. Lots of trails just behind the cabin, connecting to state forest trails. This is our second time staying at Barbs place and will totally return in the future.

Beautiful cabin! Lovely bedrooms and comfortable beds. Kitchen was well-stocked with a variety of spices and the biggest jar of peanut butter I’ve ever seen. The setting was lovely, with the snow and sunshine. One quick caution: always remember the photographs make everything seem larger. While the space was more than adequate for 5 adults and two children, it didn’t feel as large as the photos. That isn’t anyone’s fault, it’s just the nature of photography. It was really nice to have the downstairs to “spread out” in, and in the summer, the whole outdoors….

Located on the Wolverine ski trails was awesome. Winter wonderland in a fantastic setting and was truly magical during snow storms. Our two dogs were equally impressed

We had a very fun time and Keith and Sara were helpful when we had any questions. The area is beautiful and canoeing on the lake is a must!

We needed to be near Trego and I was so happy to find such a cute place so close. The Eddy was full of thoughtful touches and you can tell the hosts take pride in it. We would definitely stay again.

Great home and close to all the trails including ATV which you could ride from home to trails. The home was clean and directions were very good. Totally recommend this cabin!

What a peaceful, homey, quiet and beautiful stay this was for us! The cabin was clean and perfectly set up for our needs. Nancy was absolutely amazing to us even ensuring that we were going to stay warm with having Don turn the boiler heat back on for us on when the nights got chilly. I highly recommend this little cabin! We will definitely stay again when we get back to Michigan!!

Wonderful trail side place. Loved being in nature with more than your standard camping amenities. Beautiful cabins, perfectly clean bathrooms and showers, sauna, accessible firewood, quiet, right on the trails — and lots of hooks inside! Loved everything about it!

We had a wonderful stay at Great Bear Getaway, despite cold, rainy weather. The beds were very comfortable, cabin is cozy and lots to do in the area. We appreciated the access to the clubhouse pool and fitness center and all the recommendations related to the area. My only recommendation to guests is if you like to cook, bring specialty tools and things like oil, seasonings so you are certain to have them or check with Hillary on availability.

We had a great stay at this beautiful home! The place was clean, well-decorated, and in a fantastic location so close to ski. The owner was very kind and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The only downside was an issue with the hot water, which was a bit inconvenient. However, everything else about the stay was wonderful, and we truly appreciated the hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay. I was looking for something remote, peaceful, and quiet to unplug with my husband. It was exactly that. The hosts had excellent communication and answered us promptly with the few questions we had. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. They requested any recommendations or suggestions which shows they care about their guests. I would certainly stay again.

We are always looking for a quiet place we can enjoy the nature around us and this checked every single box. Super close to dozens of trails, but some days we didn’t even feel like leaving the cabin! The sauna and arcade games were an added bonus. Definitely enjoyed the nostalgia of Dig Dug :) thanks again!
