Holiday rentals with lake access in Lake Superior

Our family loved this place. We came up for a quick weekend trip with no real plans and fell in love with this place. It was in a great location to see many different sights. The views at the house alone are amazing. The beds are so comfortable and my kids loved being able to have bunks to themselves and full beds. It was a great place to hangout at night after adventuring all day. We hope to plan a future trip.

Viewpoint was enchantingly perfect for our family of four for a long weekend. Our children (6 and 2) were fascinated by the records and CDs, and we had dance parties every afternoon. The bedrooms and game room were perfect for them - table and chairs for coloring, board games and Twister, and a guitar for my husband to entertain them with. The outdoor table served as a perfect stage for their musical performances, and we all loved sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the porch. The grown ups loved the beautiful mug collection, proximity to Fika, easy access to Grand Marais, and the view. I have never felt more at peace than we did at the Virwpoint. We wanted a quiet mini family get away for the long Memorial Day weekend and this place did not disappoint! We all felt right at home and appreciated the cleanliness and location. The beach was beautiful and serene, kitchen was well stocked with every kind of kitchen tool you could imagine. All linens were very clean and good quality!

What can you say? This home has a gorgeous private black sand beach in a small cove directly below the house. So beautiful and peaceful, especially at sunrise and sunset. The house itself is lovely with very nice linens and super comfortable beds and pillows and a charming cabin vibe. The kitchen is well stocked. The location is fantastic- near Split Rock lighthouse, Tettegouche and Gooseberry Falls. The communication about how to check in and what amenities are available is incredibly detailed and helpful. We would love to stay here again!

This cabin is a great family get away. 30 min drive from Duluth or Two Harbors, fun is never to far away. The home is a vacation in and of itself could spend a whole week just on the property.

Vern is an excellent host and communicated proactively and clearly. He’s super helpful in case of any questions or concerns that you might have about the stay. The place offers pristine and mundane views of the Sandy lake. Availability of kayaks is a great addition to all this setting. The cabin is a really comfortable place to live in and is equipped with all the amenities with a Starlink WiFi connection. Would definitely recommend anyone who’s looking for a stay in the region and would definitely visit again.

My wife, dog and I stayed a week over the winter to get out of the city. Great place right on Lake Superior and next to the porkies. The Finnish sauna on the beach is unreal. We had such a blast we rented the place in the summer. Would highly recommend.

The apartment was comfortable and clean, would definitely recommend. My two small kids fit on the sofa bed, but it is a very small one!

Quiet peaceful setting with nice view of Loon Lake. Great place to stay and enjoy up north feel while being 10 minutes away from downtown Hayward. The guest quarters were clean and cozy so you can relax and enjoy your vacation. Janie was very responsive and communicated well. Overall, great stay.

We loved our weekend getaway at Mark and Wendy’s cabin! The views were beautiful! Also, Mark and Wendy had great communication with us throughout the entire experience.

If you are visiting pictured rocks lakeshore and Lake Superior, this is the place. The house is very clean. Rich is very helpful and responsive. Highly recommended

So great that we came here a second time! This property is a slice of heaven. Gorgeous sunset views. Kayaks and paddle boats were perfect for our young family being able to paddle to the sand bars and enjoy the lake. “Serenity” is such a perfect description. We will be back again next summer, Lord willing!

I’m not sure where to begin.. It was a beautiful stay and a memorable few days spent at the cottage. My kids and I even got to enjoy a magical show put on by the northern lights above the shining Gitche Gumee last night! We had everything we needed and appreciated all of the little touches and amenities. We loved the retro feel and style of the place as well as the location and privacy. We will definitely be back! Very nice place. Excellent for 2 couples and 2 dogs. Very well equipped. Very comfortable. Secluded. Nice walks down the dirt roads and to lake Superior. We did not get a chance to walk their trails. We were greeted by many deer when we arrived. Should the opportunity arise, we would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone. All of her descriptions and recommendations are very accurate. Clean quaint fantastic.

The location was wonderful. There was everything you needed I the kitchen.

Donna’s place was so special! My family and I enjoyed our time here playing games, taking in the view from sunrise to sunset, and even night time where we saw the sky full of stars. Donna and Brian were very quick with replies and were very accommodating with all requests. I would definitely stay again and definitely recommend to all looking for a peaceful and beautiful stay. We loved our time here-the little private beach was so fun to enjoy after hiking. Great bird watching and we saw a beaver. 😍 The house is so well curated-comfy beds and love the tub. Thank you! We would love to come back.

A wonderful and quiet respite. The cabin was wonderful and exactly what we were looking for. Something quiet and private.

The Yonder House is full of warm, nostalgic ambience! I so enjoyed my stay here while my husband worked the LSPR Rally. It was exactly what I was looking for and the description and photos are spot on! It was very clean and the friendly host has thought of everything you might need. We were able to connect to the internet when needed to check in on work back home. It was a treat to curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book in the comfy recliner and take in the filtered views of a beautiful little lake. The fall colors were breathtaking this year and I hope to be back next year! Thank you Patrick, for sharing your little slice of heaven up here in the beautiful U.P.

My family and I had an amazing time at the Loon’s Nest. It’s the perfect place for any time of year with gorgeous views, excellent amenities and is the perfect size. Brian was an excellent host and was extremely responsive to any questions we had. We are looking forward to booking here again in the future!
