Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Lake Superior

Very enjoyable peaceful atmosphere with host and other guests. Nice walking trails on the property. Excellent hot and tasty breakfast. Homemade pastries were a pleasant touch. The hot tub was the best hot tub. Beds were nice and comfy. Other guests were quiet and did not disturb. Would absolutely stay here again.

Awesome place with great amenities. Loved the Jacuzzi with the lake view. The surroundings of the house is way to awesome! Owners were super friendly and they arranged breakfast as per our special requests. I would definitely recommend this place for the stay.

Had a beautiful stay with my son at the Vermillion Inn! I would stay there again!

The inn was full of beautiful antiques and has a fascinating history. Our room was beautifully decorated and we felt welcomed. The area is so beautiful with all the Fall colors.

Mary was an exceptional host. We needed a room last minute and she was very accommodating. When we arrived after 9p, she graciously invited us into her home and offered us dvd's to watch, beverages/food, other comforts, etc. She showed us to our room where the bathroom was shared with her. Our room was small but quite charming and the double-sized bed was comfortable - we slept well. We woke to the pleasant smell of breakfast being prepared. Once we washed up, etc, we emerged and met some of the other guests. My hubs and I walked around the property and discovered that Mary also has a Gift Shoppe on site:) Some folks left before breakfast (9a) but there were about 6 others who stayed for the delicious meal. The skillfully prepared eggs benedict and hash browns were the best I've had -which was preceded by beautiful tulip glasses full of fresh colorful fruit/berries. Coffee was plentiful as well. If we are ever in the Birchwood area again, I will definitely seek out a room!

Charming place, chuck full of history and steps from a gorgeous state park. Sheets were soft, the bed comfortable, the staff welcoming and the breakfast great.

Great place to stay on our snowmobile trip. Enjoyed the hosts, the hot coffee, and breakfast in the morning. The stay was unlike what is provided at a hotel or other Airbnb.

Beautiful and peaceful location with an amazing view. The room and all areas were clean. The hosts were friendly and responsive to questions. Also helped with our coats when we were drenched in the rain! We will for sure return and recommend it to others.

This was our second stay at Timber Baron Inn. Just as it was the first time everything again was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. There is nothing I can say bad about our experience with our stay. We did need to leave a day early due to a family emergency. That just means we will have to make plans for a third stay there. We definitely will go back.

This was by far one of the best experiences we’ve ever had on a vacation! Everything was perfect. Jackie was an amazing host and had great travel tips. She’s so knowledgeable about the area! Not to mention she served THE best breakfasts every morning. Everything is made from scratch and was so delicious. Don’t forget to try one of the homemade cinnamon rolls. It was the best Airbnb experience in my life!! Sandy and Clair are wonderful people, having a nice house on a lake. They made us feel extremely comfortable like at home, providing a warm and friendly environment. Homemade breakfast was more than good! They pay attention to every detail and it impresses a lot. Cheryl is fun to visit, kind, and informative. The continental breakfast, hot tub and sauna were highlights for us. There are many extras here a large family or group could keep entertained with (instruments, blue tooth speaker, karaoke machine, roku TV, snowshoes, sleds for sledding, pool, hot tub, sauna, nature trails). Parking a truck and trailer for snowmobiling is effortless. It is a nice base camp for snowmobiling groups that will be trailering to their spot.

Charming 140 year old house. The breakfast and bakery down stairs was the real 5 star.

It was a great option to stay in the lower UP area! the place had everything we (group of 4) needed - clean, well equipped space. After-hours check-in was seamless. it's located in a beautiful village called Garden and the hosts were kind enough to suggest some local recommendations to visit - it's ~8 mins from the Fayette state park which I'd recommend most to visit. Special mention to the coffee shop on-site, we really enjoyed our flavored lattes! Would definitely consider this place to stay on future trips to the U.P.!

We really enjoyed our stay. Nancy had everything we needed at the house. Was very comfortable and we felt at home. Was easy to get to the snowmobile trails and plenty of parking for all of us. We would definitely stay again when we come back to the area.

We stayed here for two days for the duration of our wedding. I was absolutely star struck by the grounds and room! I felt like i was living a fairytale.

Great place for a snowmobile weekend. Can ride right out of the house and quickly get on a trail.

This is truly a B&B! We loved every moment of our stay, and wished we booked for longer! Every detail was so considerate and thoughtful. Margaret was extremely kind- & she makes the best banana muffins!!
