Cabin holiday rentals in Lake Shawnee

We were two families from NYC that spend three nights at this place. The house was more than spacious for the 8 of us and we thoroughly enjoyed the four person hot tub, the firepit and badminton set. The kitchen was really well equipped for cooking and the beds were super comfortable. John was just a text away for any questions.

Sue was an awesome host. She was friendly and super responsive when needed, including at night when she had to call our Ubers in to the community. This is the perfect place for a retreat with family and friends! The woods outside makes you feel like you’re in a tree house. The house was awesome, beds and couches were super comfy, and the amenities were all as listed! It was great to feel so close to nature as well. Make sure you follow the driving instructions so you go to the right gate, and anticipate bringing cooking supplies (condiments, sugar, butter, etc.). Overall my group was very happy with our stay, would totally book again!

Great location. Very relaxing and peaceful. The house is adorable. The owner was very helpful and gave recommendations of local things to do. My fiancé and I stayed for two nights. We went to two of the restaurants that were recommended and we also went on a hike, we hiked 5 miles and it was a great day. The hot tub was super relaxing and we even made a fire at the fire pit. We can’t wait to go back.

This cabin provides a peaceful break from day to day busy life. Upon arrival we were greeted by 3 dee in the front yard. They visited frequently throughout our stay. The home was clean and well stocked. There were items thag most of us use day to day but wouldn't typically pack (spices, oils, etc). The fenced in yard was beautiful and allowed our dogs are safe space to explore. The cabin is a quiet neighborhood.

Emily's guide she provided for the area was incredible! She was very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and really helped us feel like locals in the Poconos. The home had everything we needed and was truly lovely! Emily was very communicative and responsive if we had any questions. Highly recommend this spot for a weekend getaway!

Four of us humans and two pups stayed at Morgan's cozy cabin 4 nights for the Memorial Day long weekend. the living, dining, and kitchen areas are spacious for us to cook and do videos games. The cabin is located in a quiet gated community, so there were few cars passing by. We needed to check in at the entrance every time to enter the community, so we feel very safe during our stay. Also, the cabin is about 13 minutes from a huge dog park. our pups got to enjoy running around off leash going there every morning. highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! Super nice and spacious, the kitchen was well stocked with good quality knives and cookware, there was so many things we could do just in the house from grilling and chilling to playing arcade or yard games. The house slippers were a really nice touch as well. Thank you Danny!

This was easily the nicest Air BNB I’ve ever stayed at. The cabin was beautiful inside and sparkling clean. The appliances, grill, bathroom fixtures, mattress and bedding were top of the line and wildly luxurious. The setting was beautiful. We saw so much wildlife just on the property and the location was central to some of the nicest hikes in the Delaware Water Gap. Really beautiful stay and definitely worth every penny.

The geographical location is very good, very convenient, and I had a very happy day

I booked this property as a kind of ad hoc writing retreat. It was the perfect location to complete what work I needed to do. A quick drive into Sparta for restaurants and supplies also made this a great location.

Julie was an amazing host! I felt that everything she had to offer was spot on! Greenwood Lake is a beautiful place and we wanted to stay longer! This place is a photographers dream! When we arrived check in was easy! The place was as described and clean! We can’t wait to bring our family back! Julie does have rules in place for check out that we followed and they were easy! We loved staying at Michael's place! From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and at home. Everything worked well: the grill, the outdoor lighting, the appliances in the kitchen, and the wood stove (all we had to do was light the fire starter). We loved eating at the table and watching the sunset. The beds are extremely comfortable, the bathroom is super clean, and the living room is relaxing with plants along the windowsill and a beautiful view of lake through the trees. Michael's list of recommendations is fabulous; we loved exploring neighboring towns, fishing spots, and local hikes. We highly recommend Michael's gorgeous cabin in Eldred!

My family and I had an amazing 5-day vacation at this cozy cabin in the woods. The cabin was spotless and beautifully decorated with modern mountain charm. After long days of hiking, it was a treat to unwind in the luxurious copper tub or the spacious shower. One of our favorite parts of the stay was feeding the trout in the stocked ponds—such a fun and memorable experience! The evenings were just as magical, with a warm fire pit and twinkling outdoor string lights setting the perfect mood. There was plenty of parking, which made things easy for our group. This spot would be ideal for a larger gathering, too—renting all three cabins would be perfect for a family reunion or group getaway. David was a fantastic host—always responsive, helpful, and clearly dedicated to creating an excellent guest experience. The location is also great for nature lovers, with easy driving access to hiking gems like Bushkill Falls and Raymondskill Falls. Highly recommend this stay! We’d love to come back!

Very beautiful place, not as remote as I thought it would be, neighbors to the left and right but overall it was quiet, peaceful and we made a few deer friends haha, would definitely come back.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable visit. Sparta was perfect for a weekend away. It was a short walk away from a beautiful private lake and quiet and relaxing. Mario was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making check-in seamless. It truly felt like a home away from home. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

The cabin is in such a peaceful setting. We enjoyed the deck and fire pit, and listening to all kinds of birdsong. All the amenities made our stay comfortable, providing everything one would need at home. When we had questions, Danielle responded very quickly with helpful tips, answers, and suggestions.

Great place to go and unwind, take a break from the city, very quiet and peaceful place, felt right at home so comfortable and clean my kids loved the lake and didn't wanted to leave. Great host very attentive & great communication very helpful with directions too, can't wait to go back, the house has everything you need to spend quality time with family. (Or friends). Thanks.

We just stayed here for a 4-day Girls' Trip and had an amazing time! The house exceeded our expectations, with everything we could have possibly needed. Adam's instructions were clear, check in was super easy, and he has been super quick to respond to any questions. The house and surroundings were clean, quiet, and peaceful. If you come in the warm months be sure to ask for the kayaks and paddle boards to be left out! We had a blast! The house was also close to lots of trails for hiking and great restaurants. Overall, a 5/5 experience, would definitely recommend!

The Nordic Cabin was the perfect setting for my husband and I to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. The cabin is beautiful and the modern design, furnishings, and decor really stand out. Instructions of how to get into the cabin and the pitcures provided made check in and check out a breeze. The kitchen was well stocked. A bottle of white wine and a few treats were left for us. The kitchen offered different spices, oils, milk, and eggs. Kitchen utensils, pots/pans, dishes, cups, glasses, etc are provided, as well as cleaning supplies. The bathroom was stocked with toiletries. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the cozy living room and slept well in the beautiful bedroom. Last, I have to say that the first time we opened the gate at night, after dinner in Warwick, and saw all of the outdoor lights on, really made it feel like we were entering an enchanted garden. Would definitely come back!! Thank you Kamil and Margaret!!

This place was phenomenal. You could tell Cassie and Brandon put a lot of time and thought into making this cabin “cozy”. We enjoyed all the amenities along with all the wonderful cookware and appliances provided. Even though we got lots of rain, it didn’t wash out our weekend and we were able to enjoy our time and getaway. One note- we loved the shower!! Hot water and pressure second to none. It is better than any Airbnb or hotel we ever stayed. We were jealous our showers are not as great as yours. This is definitely a keeper and hope to one day go back and stay at the “Cozy Cabin”

I needed a getaway after a long stretch at work and was looking for something remote and peaceful—Grayson’s place was absolutely perfect. It gave me everything I needed for a truly restful and recharging stay. He’s clearly put a lot of thought into every detail of the space, and it shows.
