Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Mendota

One of the things I really appreciated was how proactive Mark was in his communications. He reached out before, during and at the end of our stay. We enjoyed the comfortable beds, the well-stocked kitchen and grilling out on the patio. We also appreciated having a queen in each bedroom. Mark gave us some good recommendations for nearby restaurants. The house was conveniently located and the neighborhood felt very safe. Would definitely recommend!

10/10 will stay again at Kevin’s place! The house was perfect and had everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back when we visit our son who recently moved to Janesville. Thank you again, having your place really helped with the transition of my son moving to Janesville and having a comfortable lace to live in until he found a permanent apartment.

Was a great vacation for our city dogs. One of our dogs is reactive and was super nice for her to have a wide open space to run. Dan is awesome and the kind of guy you’d like to go fishing with. 5 out of 5 stars

Doreen’s place was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The screened-in porch and outdoor deck offered a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Having multiple bathrooms was a major convenience, especially for our group of six. We also really enjoyed the amenities at the owner’s club, particularly the pool and fitness center. Doreen was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

We had a great stay at Lexi’s place. The view is great and the house had everything we needed to make ourselves at home for the week. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

We had an amazing stay at the Tailor House. The place was spotless and stylish. The perfect getaway. Colin was super communicative. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We loved staying here so much that we decided to stay an extra night. David was very responsive and hospitable. Already making plans on coming back here again next year!

Perfect home for extended family to celebrate together! Everyone was thrilled to have their own bathroom and big, open common areas to hang out together. Great fire pit, hot tub and yard area. Home was well stocked & very clean plus near walking trails, golf & owners club.

Our family—including me, my wife, our daughter, and our puppy—had a wonderful time. Ginger was very kind and provided detailed information, including how to use the amenities like the swimming pools. The property was clean, cozy, and conveniently located near downtown, where we had a great time exploring. We’d definitely recommend this place to any family and would love to return on our next trip to Galena.

Brian and Jonny were very responsive and communicative from beginning to end. It was a last minute trip and we were lucky to find a pet friendly place during the start of the summer season. The house was clean, cozy and close to walking trails. Although we did not take advantage of the outdoor grill or hot tub (they have a wood burning fireplace for the winter), we enjoyed the screened in porch and open concept layout of the house, as pictured in the profile. The house is situated between two other houses blocked somewhat by the trees. I would describe as semi-private where we could see their back patio/hot tub/fire pit and vice versa. But whatever your personal comfort level, you can’t beat the proximity to trails, Owners Club, and easy access to Hwy 20 to Galena! We enjoyed our stay and exploring!

What a perfect place for us! From the wrap around porch to the two fireplaces, this place is so dreamy! The showers were great and the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We will stay again if we get the chance!

Joel’s place was absolutely beautiful! It was secluded and peaceful but also very close to down town. I loved drinking my coffee outside in the mornings it was so peaceful! I’d recommend Joel’s air bnb to anyone wanting to travel to galena. I’d go back in a heartbeat! Joel was a great host. He gave us all the information and checked In on us throughout our stay. We had a great time!

We had a really wonderful stay here over Memorial Day weekend. My two and four year old loved the toys and the movie screen (our daughter cried when we left). My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch. We’ve been to Galena now many times and this was our favorite place we’ve stayed at yet!

Debbie was very communicative before and during our stay. The property has plenty of yard room for outdoor activities and we loved that we didn’t feel stacked up against a bunch of other houses. The driveway can accommodate a group of cars and we loved the reclining couch in the basement. I’d highly recommend this property.

Hello! Elizabeth was a wonderful host, she was very informative and recommended a lot in the area. You can really tell she cares for her guests and the space. It was a beautiful home and my group is so happy we stayed there.

We spent the weekend here and enjoyed the house, especially our time hanging out in the yard and on the back deck! The house was very clean and thoughtfully prepared for guests. We appreciated the blackout shades, comfortable beds, and relaxing vibe. And having a garage space was very convenient!

What a rare privilege to have a constant view of a lake from the living room, a one-minute stroll onto a private pier, and a 10-minute walk to free live music on the rooftop of Monona Terrace (sketched by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1938; finally constructed in 1997) as well as casual sidewalk dining at Settle Down. My traveling friend and I walked 8 miles around the area on the morning/early afternoon of departure — Monroe Street, State Street, Camp Randall and the Capitol — while our host graciously let us leave our car parked at the Airbnb unit.

Marty’s place was just as described! He was extremely responsive to our inquiries, and the check-in and check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow. The cabin was the perfect serene getaway my partner and I were looking for! Marty went above and beyond to make our anniversary weekend special. Highly recommend this beautiful cabin!
