House holiday rentals in Lake Mendota

We had a wonderful stay! The house was stocked with everything we needed. The kids had so much fun with all the toys and games and us adults loved the deck and firepit. It was the perfect place for our family. We saw a bunch of wild turkeys, a few deer and lots of other wild life. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable and the thoughtful extras were much appreciated. Brittany and Tim were great hosts!

Our family—including me, my wife, our daughter, and our puppy—had a wonderful time. Ginger was very kind and provided detailed information, including how to use the amenities like the swimming pools. The property was clean, cozy, and conveniently located near downtown, where we had a great time exploring. We’d definitely recommend this place to any family and would love to return on our next trip to Galena.

Brian and Jonny were very responsive and communicative from beginning to end. It was a last minute trip and we were lucky to find a pet friendly place during the start of the summer season. The house was clean, cozy and close to walking trails. Although we did not take advantage of the outdoor grill or hot tub (they have a wood burning fireplace for the winter), we enjoyed the screened in porch and open concept layout of the house, as pictured in the profile. The house is situated between two other houses blocked somewhat by the trees. I would describe as semi-private where we could see their back patio/hot tub/fire pit and vice versa. But whatever your personal comfort level, you can’t beat the proximity to trails, Owners Club, and easy access to Hwy 20 to Galena! We enjoyed our stay and exploring!

We had such a great time! We took the whole family (10 people) and there was plenty of room. The basement was great for keeping the kids entertained. They were wore out from playing video games, air hockey, basketball, and hot rubbing. The area has beautiful views, and feels very private even though there are houses close buy - which we prefer just in case we would need help. We all wished we could have stayed longer! We highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Lovely updated cabin among other cabins in resort on Lake Delton. Spent 3 days with my 2 sisters and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings as great getaway from, yet easy to reach Dells attractions. As summer fully starts next week I expect the place will be much busier as it seems a very good family resort with pool and playground for kids. Nice, sandy beach on lake a short walk away. There are stairs to access the cabin from the deck. Use key pad hidden behind upper deck screen/storm door. Lower level has nice extra family room to spread out guests. Bring Duraflame type logs if you’d like to use fireplace. We enjoyed that on a cooler night.

We had a great stay at the cabin for my brother’s bachelor party weekend. We played 2 golf courses, ate at one of the resort restaurants, and went downtown for dinner one night. It’s a 2 minute drive to the courses and 10 minutes to downtown. Great location that sat on one of the par 4s.

We had a wonderful stay! Doreen was always in communication making sure we had everything we needed. Our family of 5 was looking to getaway for a few days and this was a great place for it! The home was clean and cozy with lots of thoughtful touches throughout to make us feel welcome. We got to enjoy the amenities at the club house, and were just close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants and shops. My kids want to come back already!

We spent the weekend here and enjoyed the house, especially our time hanging out in the yard and on the back deck! The house was very clean and thoughtfully prepared for guests. We appreciated the blackout shades, comfortable beds, and relaxing vibe. And having a garage space was very convenient!

The host was super responsive—when our kids lost a ball, Kevin showed up with 2 new ones AND chalk. The cabin was spotless, with cozy couches, blackout curtains, comfy beds, & blankets everywhere. We loved the smart fridge for music, strong Wi-Fi, & the heated toilet seat (game changer!). Shower had great pressure, towels were plush & smelled amazing & the AC kept us cool. Porch felt like a villa in Costa Rica, especially in the rain. Early check-in, a generous welcome gift & even dog bags for our pups. Massage chair, grill, and space to spread out—we will DEFINITELY be back again, next time without our crazy children!

The house was a perfect fit for my friends and I. The kitchen was spacious enough for us since we cooked while we were here. It had all the dishes and cookware we needed. Place was clean upon arrival. It was a private and great place for the weekend. Thank you for a great stay!

We had a wonderful time.! We enjoyed the peacefulness and wildlife at Mike’s place. We took advantage of the nearby park for biking. We tried to fish off of the dock. We throughly enjoyed the hot tub on several occasions. It was wonderful having s’mores around the fire. We took advantage of local dining as well as driving 20 minutes to Madison. We loved the Brazilian Steakhouse! We also traveled 35 minutes to Fort Atkinson to enjoy our favorite dinner theater, the Fireside. There is a delicious local bakery that is inexpensive. Go in the morning because they sell out. My very favorite part was watching and listening to the birds. Mike has a bird feeder that attaches to the window in his sun room. We went to Walmart 10 minutes away and bought bird seed (on the last day I saw Mike has bird seed) and 2 cakes of suet. The suet was gone in 5 days! That’s how many birds we had. The home is clean and well appointed. They have MANY books sitting out.

Aleen and Joe are great hosts. So communicative and helpful from the start. They live nearby and are there if you need anything. This house is very special - it’s very large, spacious and historic. It’s a home from the 1800s with so many original features. It felt very happy and nostalgic to live here for a week. It may be an “old” house but the hosts keep every inch of it incredibly clean. The neighborhood is friendly and beautiful. The views of the lake from the front porch at sunset are breathtaking. We would love to return one day. This home made us fall in love with Madison.

We were extremely happy with our stay at Paul and Erika’s Airbnb. They had truly thought of everything with little toiletries supplied for those who may have forgotten them, multiple board games available, wood for bonfires, and a helpful welcome guide. The Christmas Tree Farm was beautiful and at night we were pleasantly surprised by hundreds of fireflies out in the fields. Such a cool experience! The close proximity to the Dells and Devil’s Lake made it the perfect location. The hosts were also very responsive and proactive on the Airbnb app. Highly recommend!

Jordan’s place was perfect for what we needed! Bathrooms and kitchen were great and the beds were comfortable. The front porch and outdoor areas are beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed them! Location is perfect if you want to be close enough to downtown to Uber or drive but stay in a quiet area. Jordan was very accommodating and an excellent host!

Beautiful home in a gorgeous area of Madison, in a charming, quiet and kid-friendly neighborhood! Location is walking distance to Picnic Point and ~10 minute drive from downtown. Ann left super clear instructions with personalized “how to” videos as well. Definitely felt the homey touch - everything was extremely clean, well-maintained and high quality through out the house. Beds were all super comfortable and rooms were all very spacious. We all had some of the best Airbnb sleep we’ve ever had! Hope to be coming back again next year!

I had an extended stay at Brian's property and all worked very well. The property was very clean and as indicated in the photos. Just be aware that stays do not include use of any of the garages. I had assumed access based on the photos while realizing later that it did not say explicitly that use of the garages is included. This property is very private and is perfect for a summer getaway. Very short drive into town ~2 mins with access to a grocery store, restaurants, Walgreen's, etc. The furniture and interior decorating is very nice. I would stay again if needed.

Exactly as depicted in pictures! Beautiful, peaceful, private location. Extremely clean. Kids loved the game room! Gorgeous outdoor space in the backyard. Loved the hot tub and bonfire area. Drive into the dells is quick and easy. Loved going back to a quiet, private place after a loud, packed day in the dells. Our kids aged 8-13 loved Noah’s Ark WaterPark, Land of Natura, and Deer Park. If we were in the area again, we would 10/10 stay here again.

Perfect little place for the weekend. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and inviting. The host was very friendly and responsive.

I must say that this home is just as advertised, easy to find, very clean, and maintained. We would stay at this house over and over again. the hosts are amazing to work with and has helped out with our questions, concerns, and the responses super quick and amazing. Customer service is top tier.

We had a great two day stay at Sondra’s place, very nice finishes and enjoyed the hot tub and being in such a nice remote spot! Close enough to the dells and other things in the area to make it a great location for our stay!
