Lake house holiday rentals in Lake Lure

I don’t generally leave a property without any constructive criticism, but this stay was perfect. Beautiful accommodation. Perfectly peaceful cove. Clear, professional level communication. Highly, high recommended!!

Perfect getaway with peace and quiet, dog loved it too. Walkable to Black Mountain with shopping, restaurants and music venues.

I will definitely be staying at this house if we come up here again, very comfortable, clean, peaceful. Every morning we had deer in the yard. Such a great place!

Such a great house! We loved it. The place was extremely clean upon arrival. It was well stocked with everything we needed for the weekend and not at all cluttered. Great location. We hiked Grandfather mountain, Shortoff mountain, and Hawksbill. All great hikes and easy to get to. We also spent an afternoon kayaking on Lake James. It was very peaceful with large, calm coves. Great place to stay and I hope to be back.

Little gem. Only weakness was the TV is a bit older and the internet bandwidth isn’t consistent. Cell service is weak up there too, so be aware of that. But if you want to truly unplug and enjoy nature, especially during the warmer months, this place is a treat. The owners have put a lot of intentionality into the place and accommodating the stay of their guests. Overall, wonderful.

Casa del Lago ranks up there as one of my family's favorite Airbnb's! The pictures definitely don't do justice to how beautiful the house is, as well as the view and the proximity to the lake. When you're sitting at the table in the dining area, it almost feels like you're on a boat. Things to note: - There are lots of towels and dishcloths for the kitchen, as well as hot tub/lake towels, and bathroom towels. - There are plenty of extra blankets and pillows. - There is a grill AND griddle on the covered patio overlooking the lake. - The house is sparkling clean and we'll maintained. - The hosts are quick to respond if you have any questions. We will absolutely be going back to this special spot next time we need a getaway!

What a wonderful property to stay for a vacation in the mountains. We were able to meet the hosts right at check-in since they were dropping off some firewood and they were very friendly and kind. They gave us a little back story on the property and that made us appreciate it even more. The layout of the home is perfect and it feels bigger on the inside. Giant towels were provided for the hot tub, charging cords for your devices are in the bedrooms, there is plenty of space for your belongings in the bedrooms and the kitchen is well stocked. We did a lot of front porch sitting and the weather was perfect! The fire pit was pristine and the dock in the pond is huge. We appreciated being able to walk the roads on the property with our dogs and we also gave the donkeys, goats and cows sliced apples and carrots (with permission of course). The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable and the a/c units were easy to use. We recommend staying here!

We spent Thanksgiving week at Evergreen with our family of 4. The surrounding land is stunning - naturally beauty that is worth the stay alone! The cabin feels like going to a great camp in the mountains...the rooms are large - every room is spacious and comfortable. It is an older property with a sense of history - feels like a family home. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of linens for the beds - and extra quilts. The property is rural but not a far drive to Tuxedo or Hendersonville for groceries. We also went apple picking at a near by orchard! It is probably equally beautiful in the spring when the trees and bushes are in bloom.

The lake house was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! It had everything we needed to feel comfortable and truly at home. The space was cozy, well-equipped, and peaceful. Our host, Ethan, was so responsive and kind—he made everything easy and welcoming. We’d happily stay again!

Linda is an amazing host and one of the most proactive communicators I’ve ever rented from. Her place is lovely clean and easy to get to would definitely rent from Linda and the space again.

Sarah's place is lovely and quiet, overlooking the golf course and a view of the mountains. The neighbors were delightful, which added to the charm of our stay. The place was comfortable and spacious. Great to have the extra room and bath on the lower level, which makes it even more private. If you're looking for a place in the mountains near a lake, would recommend.

Excellent stay! Peaceful place with plenty of space. The house is perfect for families with kids and pets. It is very well-equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, a variety of board games, and is sparkling clean. Especially for being a cabin, the outdoor furniture is spotless with no dust or spider webs. Linens and towels were super clean. Ana and James were wonderful hosts, providing a truly enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

Serenity Summit is a mountain gem! The 4 bedrooms are spaced out across the house and there are three living spaces to relax in. Open kitchen with everything we needed. Hosts were so kind and responsive to our questions and needs. There was plenty of parking space for our family coming together for our daughter’s wedding. The home is located in a gorgeous gated community with incredible views of the mountains. But…..If your husband’s dress shirt, as Father of the Bride, wasn’t packed and you realize the night before at 9:40pm…..FYI the closest Walmart is 37 minutes away and thankfully doesn’t close until 11:00. We definitely plan to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the incredible outdoor living areas at the house and the lake in the neighborhood. Thank you for your hospitality Victoria!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Ivy Stone Cottage. Some of the many highlights of this home included the amazing deck, perfect for our kids to jump into the beautiful lake, sip morning coffee, or just relax with plenty of seating and a good book. Renting a boat directly from the owner was incredibly convenient. The thoughtful amenities—like the well-stocked and organized kitchen, abundant beach towels, and plenty of hooks for keys and towels—added to the comfort of our stay. The owner was very responsive, and we loved the welcome basket. We highly recommend this home for your next family vacation to Lake Lure!

Such a beautiful home and a wonderful place for a family weekend retreat to Lake Jackson State Park and participate in the Fonta Flora 50K. The home is so cozy, and enjoyable. Space to gather together and also retreat away to relax and read a book or nap. The deck and dock space are amazing!!! Hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We are already planning our next visit to their home.

If you are looking for a true lake house experience , this is it . Older well kept home on the lake with easy access by road and water if you rent a boat . We had 8 in our family and there was plenty of room . Enjoyed everything including jumping from the top of the boathouse !

This property was perfect for our family gathering. Lots of spaces to gather and the kitchen was well stocked. It was so nice to have the water toys and dock. We rented a pontoon from Patrick (a local person recommended in the property binder) who delivered it to the dock and then came back and picked it up. We enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated the wood that was available. Can’t wait to plan to stay here again next year!

Absolutely loved our stay at this lake house Airbnb! The home was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The views of the lake were great—perfect for morning coffee. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the house and how peaceful and quiet the location was. We especially loved fishing from the dock and kayaking! Had the pleasure to rent this property for a family extended weekend. The house could not have been more perfect. Great layout, well equipped kitchen, very clean and well appointed. There was easy access to the lake with a wonderful two story dock which provided cover for extended stays down at the water. Very peaceful and quiet location on the lake. A gem.

Peace on the French Broad ! My first river vacation and this was the right spot. You have to be aware it is in the path of the flood, however the owners have this place looking like it didn’t happen . The interior looks brand new , yard and landscape was awesome, kitchen was fantastic, couch comfy ( I slept my first night there with the windows open) , talk about perfection. You saw the neighbors still dealing with rebuilding , you knew the heartbreak felt by the Community . Visited Marshall to Shop for at the Co-Op, leaving our hearts full of snacks, vitamins and bedding plants. The bench by the riverbank was the best seat in the house. I honestly didn’t eat a single meal inside, the porch was the dining room, great for moon watching . The kid in me watched the train go by- who doesn’t love trains. I would definitely book with Billy again! Thanks again for sharing such a wonderful house!
