Lake house holiday rentals in Lake Burton

A beautiful, peaceful place on the river. The porch was our favorite spot and the big windows viewing the river made us feel like there was no one else around. A wonderful stay inside and out!

To start, Leah was extremely responsive and friendly both leading up to and during our stay. The house itself was amazing. Aside from being clean and well kept, the views and water access made our whole trip. Cannot recommend enough

Cute and cozy cottage! Host was exceptionally responsive which was greatly appreciated as we had a little difficulty finding the driveway. Would definitely return!. It is important to be aware that the wall between the bedrooms does not go all the way up, so the bedrooms are not private although this was not a huge issue for us.

Jane’s house had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Highly recommend it and would stay again!

What a lovely home with incredible access to Lake Hartwell! The views from the dock are beautiful, and the house itself is decorated in a minimalistic and cozy way. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the basics for cooking at home! The neighborhood is peaceful and, while the gravel may not be ideal walking for some, is easily walkable.

The home was exactly as described and the hosts were extremely responsive. The dock was our favorite part - it had a great view and was super comfortable. Also, the basement with foosball and ping pong was a great place to hang out. We will be back again soon!

Can’t say enough about how much my family and I enjoyed our stay at Andrew’s place! From fishing to roasting marshmallows, and just getting away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, we had an amazing and relaxed stay at the lake house! Andrew was great at communicating with us before, during, and after our trip. Would 100% come back again, and would recommend anyone book this place for a relaxing weekend or more!! Thanks Andrew!

Perfect home for a family or group. Very spacious and clean, fully stocked kitchen we cooked dinner every night! The dock was perfect for tanning and swimming, our daughters also loved the kayaks and paddle board. Very peaceful location. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a lake trip! I couldn't be more pleased with my first AirBnB stay. The place was clean, inviting, and well-stocked. I wasn't expecting spices, dog toys, dog bowls, dog cot, etc. The fully fenced in yard, lake access, available kayaks, and privacy are the only things I wanted and this place sure supplied! the hot tub, outdoor shower, and firepit were huge bonuses. Also, met and talked with the neighbor who is super friendly 😉 I stayed alone the first half with my dogs and got my peace in. The second half a couple girl friends joined and we thoroughly enjoyed paddling out the this little island and throwing rocks, trying to fish, etc. Enjoying using the coloring supplies, games, and grill as well! It did storm most of the week, but even that was enjoyable! 10/10 experience for us all.

Can I just say WOW?!?! This stay was truly a dream Christmas family vacation that we will never forget. We had more fun spending time in the cabin than we did going anywhere else. There was space for the adults and kids to equally enjoy. The hosts were so caring and accommodating and even had a Christmas tree put up for us before we got there. The amenities, the space, the cleanliness, etc., were incredible! Lifelong memories, thank you so much!!!

We had a great stay at Kurt’s couples cottage. The place is as described, perfect for a couple, with serene atmosphere, lovely location just off the Taccoa river. We were not into fishing, so may not have enjoyed the stay to its fullest potential but we still loved the place regardless. We were given a tour of place upon arrival as the host happened to be around. There is a fireplace, a fire-pit, lots of firewood with starter, etc., in addition to seating, hammock, and so on. Lots of good stuff. Truly enjoyed the stay.

Our family was fortunate enough to stay at Marissa’s lovely Lake Escape to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Clemson. It was a beautiful way to enjoy being together. We loved Marissa’s beautiful lake house. It reminded us of our family cabin in upstate New York. Thank you very much Marissa for opening up your lovely home to the Giebelhaus House.💜🧡💜🧡

Mario's place is a true mountain hideaway. Rustic and comfy with enough bathrooms for a large family. Big living room to gather in, and spacey enough to get some time to yourself if needed. The place is well-stocked and clean. The vibe is clutter free and relaxed, homey and spacious. Woodsy with lots of birdsong and no neighbors within sight of the house except way down the mountain far away. There wasn't really anything we needed that we didn't find...extra blankets and pillows, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, etc. There was even a chalk marker to mark our initials on our water bottles. Really can't say enough great things about this stay, and don't have anything negative to say. Mario is an excellent host and really flexible, with very few rules other than to respect his property. Highly recommend all the way around!

It is a very nice and comfortable house. I recommend it if you are looking for a house, it is the best option.

CONVENIENT FOR OUR VISIT WITH NEARBY IN LAWS. VERY NATURAL, PRIVATE AND SERENE. COMFORTABLE, CLEAN ,WELL FURNISHED. WE'D DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN IF IN THE AREA. ONE CAVEAT, MOST RESTAURANTS ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS AND BRING YOUR OWN PROVISIONS.

The cottage sits above the lake in a mountain setting. Quite charming. The neighborhood is in a gated community and was super quiet. If you are visiting during the summer, we highly recommend using the lake-access docks for swimming and simply enjoying the beauty of the lake. It's a 2 minute drive to the bottom of the hill! What a peaceful place to hangout. The cottage is conveniently located between Cashiers and Highlands, so take advantage and visit both. We appreciated that there were no additional fees for our dog. He loved swimming in the lake. The bedrooms and bathroom are located on the second floor, so be aware if steps are an issue for you. Otherwise, it's a open and airy place to stay.

We had a lovely stay in Lauren's home. You feel like you're living in the Brady Bunch house! Classic 1960s everything. The beds and seating were all very comfortable, and we enjoyed the abundant decks, the hammock, the kayak, the TV... the kitchen had everything you could want, and we appreciated the extra bag of ice and cans of sparkling water they left for us. We highly recommend it. If you're more noise-sensitive, we recommend the downstairs bedroom, which is insulated from the noisier/brighter open layout of the upstairs.

What an amazing stay! The lake house is so unique, and there is so much to do without even having to leave. It has three separate levels with a room and bathroom on each. The upstairs has a jacuzzi tub overlooking the beautiful lake. The morning fog on the lake from the third floor is magical. The bottom floor is the perfect place to hang out with your entire family, as there is ping-pong, darts, pool, and board games. We had an absolute blast and would book again. I can't imagine how much fun it would be in the summer with warmer weather and the lake. Everything was spotless and immaculate, and the location was extremely safe and close to everything you needed. Host was excellent. Highly recommend!

The place was very clean and well appointed with every necessity. But the best thing was the beautiful and tranquil lake and neighborhood. We were not expecting such gorgeous surroundings and were really impressed with the entire place. We would love to come back and enjoy it all again!

Jeff’s place was exactly as described and matched the pictures. We had more than enough space for our family of 8. We really enjoyed celebrating our 2 y/o bday here. So much so we all agreed we’d come back to celebrate other times together here! Thank you again

Great location on the water. Close to grocery stores and restaurants as well. Large dock and deck with lots of chairs/tables. Large house with lots of space to have privacy when wanted, but also hang out together. Weather didn’t cooperate so we couldn’t take advantage of the kayaks, marina or hikes in the surrounding state parks. There was a binder listing local restaurants and the local waterfall hikes available.

Kristy was very nice and responsive. The house was absolutely beautiful and clean. The living room/patio scenery were stunning. We couldn’t get enough of the jacuzzi (tv outside was a plus). Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Morganton/Blue ridge area, whether you want a quiet getaway or a close spot to the lake/beach.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway—swimming in the lake, canoeing, and cozy movie nights in the theater room. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The space was comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The photos truly don’t do it justice. It’s conveniently located just an hour from the city (Atlanta), yet it feels like a peaceful escape tucked away in nature. We can’t wait to come back!
