Holiday rentals with a fire pit in James River

Do yourself a huge favor and book Damon’s place NOW! We had such a wonderful time in Richmond and calling this lovely Airbnb home for 6 days made a great vacation even better! Damon is a 10 star host who makes you feel welcome in his home from the first interaction to the last. He is always responsive and genuinely cares about your stay! Damon’s home is perfect in every way and we didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend!! You will love it!

Three couples wanted a central meeting place to spend some quality time catching up with each other. It was just the perfect place! We had a nice time talking in the hot tub, around the fire on the cozy porch, and in the exquisite pool. The goats added a nice touch to this country setting. The kitchen had all the cooking supplies we needed and more. We did a good bit of eating onsite so that was appreciated. We unfortunately didn’t use the pingpong table or other games but they were there to enjoy. There were plenty of towels and the new washer and dryer were great. It’s a great location to experience the many local wineries. Bobbi and Keith were excellent hosts, friendly and gave great suggestions of things to do. Everything about our stay was wonderful. We hope to return soon!

Hidden Haven is a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Quiet, private, and secluded, it lives up to every picture and description. From the heated tile to the closed in porch, every part of this Airbnb is perfect. My boyfriend and I plan to come back next year for another weekend. Thank you Sarah for a perfect couples retreat!

Dwayne created a very thoughtful and comfortable space inside and out. We even got a chance to enjoy a thunderstorm on the covered front porch. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard. Would love to return.

The Hideaway Oasis was a great find, clean, well-stocked and Katie’s hospitality was top notch! Between the flexibility with our check-in and the personalized special surprises for the kids and dogs, we couldn’t have asked for a nicer host. Katie went out of her way to welcome us… sooo appreciated after a busy day of packing and dealing with movers. Fun game room, relaxing outdoor area… we loved listening to the birds singing while enjoying our morning coffee. This is THE place to stay when visiting Fort Greg-Adams! Thank you, Katie!

Hutch’s Bluff was a great house in a fabulous location. There was all that you needed for your stay as well as beautiful view of the river. We felt right at home and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely return.

Eric’s place was exactly what we were hoping it would be. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and it felt like home. We were attending a wedding nearby so we were in and out a lot but loved being welcomed by the dogs, the cat and the roosters and hens. Wish we had more time there! Would definitely stay at Marigold’ Retreat again!

Anthony was the perfect host and we really enjoyed staying at his amazing place. Every time we drove down the road we felt like we were driving into the enchanted forest. Just Beautiful.

Mickey and his wife made us feel right at home. Nothing like sleeping with a piece of mind knowing that your belongings are safe and sound.

We stayed for a volleyball tournament. We were able to get there by walking in under 10 minutes. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. The canal walk is close and there is a playground across the street.

Nate and Anna’s places worked out perfectly for a quick weekend trip to love our daughter into a new apartment. The location was close and convenient, the bed was comfy, and it had everything I needed. Would definitely stay here again

Steff's place is great! This is our 4th year staying here on our way down to the beach. She thinks of everything you may need for your stay and responds quickly to messages. she eveneaves treats for the doggies! Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful get-away in the woods! My friend and I really enjoyed our stay!

This is our second year in a row that we stayed here for our annual family retreat (me, my wife and adult children with their partners). We loved it the first time and it was every bit as good the second. The house is in a beautiful peaceful setting tucked away in the woods with a mountain view. We spent most of our time during the day out on the decks, which were very comfortable with plenty of seating, outdoor couches and tables. We also took advantage of the fire pit. The house is actually much larger in size than how it looks . There is a good-sized living room with huge couch and large TV. Everyone had private rooms, which were very clean and comfortable with excellent furnishings. The kitchen was fully supplied for our cooking needs. Whenever we had a question Breanna was very quick to respond. If you're looking for a true getaway, I highly recommend staying here.

The Little Cabin in the Woods was the peaceful and quiet getaway we were looking for. Melody was a great host to work with. Her directions/instructions were clear and helpful. She made sure to check in with us to ensure that we had arrived safely and made sure that we knew to reach out if we needed anything during our stay.

We took a girls’ trip to Covington to celebrate my friends’ 30th birthday. It was perfect! You could tell they put a lot of thought and care into their cabin, which didn’t go unnoticed. It was truly perfect— fully stocked with everything we needed! We loved swimming in the creek (we even packed a few floaties, which made it perfect) and hopping in the hot tub! Cozy Mountain Cabin was awesome and Lorraine is an amazing host. The cabin was stocked with all of the necessities, and we had fresh eggs and homemade brownies. The cabin is in a great location but it is nestled in a private, relaxing, and quiet wooded property. The screened porch is a great place to relax at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The only thing you can hear is the sound of nature. The property is loaded with wildlife. My only regret is we didn't stay longer.

We had a wonderful visit and would gladly stay again! We were in town for a graduation so it was nice to come back to the cabin to unwind each evening. The location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The cabin was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable! We did not have a lot of time to explore the area but checked out a few of Tessa's recommendations our last evening and were very glad we did! Do yourself a favor and book a visit!

I honestly can’t say enough positive things about our stay. The cabin was as magical as described, and we instantly felt at home. You can feel how much love and attention Lucy has put into her home. Super close to everything you need in Roanoke, or if you want some peace and quiet, the property provides that as well. Lucy was the best host we’ve ever encountered. 10/10 would recommend.
