Booked this place for 10 days and we were out every day exploring this beautiful island. Felt right at home coming back to this charming windmill! It had everything we needed and more…a perfect seaside location! Thank you João for your kind gestures and professionalism, thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Will be back!

Steffen has been very responsive and helpful! suggested the best place to eat, where we actually made friends! (Amunì restaurant) felt safe during our stay, and knew that someone was always there and available to help..just a message away! there was a small pond with some frogs..loved it! so calming and very japanese garden style there is no television into the house, no needed! instead there is a radio that warms the atmosphere thank you!

Host was very friendly and available. We ran into trouble with our rental car and she was very helpful and available. She gave us info on activities in the area.

A truly magical place, especially suited for adventurous folks who appreciate peace and quiet and an unique cultural setting. The villa is located just above a lovely hiking trail and is only a short walk to the village for groceries. You could be happy for days without a car, just reading in the hammock or listening to church bells chiming and birds calling. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals plus a washing machine! If you do have a car, visit the Melo market in Praia for fresh fish, some of the most unique species you will ever eat! The owner was quick to respond to any issues that came up (for example, the gas tank needed refilling while we were there and this was promptly addressed). Quick note: Do understand that it is normal on the island to have all sorts of critters about, and you have to be comfortable with that. But there is nothing like drinking morning coffee on the patio looking out over the ocean, far from the maddening world. We can't wait to return.
