Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Iceland

We stayed four nights and did day trips from the house. It was a great starting point for the northern Golden Circle. The house is lovely and as pictured. The kitchen is nicely equipped for meals at home. Loved the views and the hotpot. We would love to return!

Amazing place to stay

Our 4 night stay in Larus’ Lakefront Villa & nearby attractions of the Golden Circle were one of the highlights of our trip-we highly recommend! His home is spectacular in every way, including a hot tub, sauna, a large living room/gathering space w/well appointed kitchen. Directly on a lake, without others in close proximity, it’s ideal for those that want to experience the splendor of this part of Iceland more privately. As a host, Larus goes above & beyond! We had brought some equipment to fish the river 100 yards away, but not small enough tackle. When we emailed him asking location of a tackle shop, after returning from a daily activity, we were surprised & delighted to find 2 more rods & 2 new trays of tackle appropriate for the trout in the river; giving 4 of our group the chance to do some fishing in Iceland. This place is a dream. The pictures absolutely do not do it justice. The surroundings, the interior, and the great communication made our stay an exceptional experience. We hope we can return someday to our new favorite place in the world.

The barn house was beautifully built and decorated with spectacular views. The skylight windows were perfect for watching for the northern lights. The kitchen had all the basics and some extras like a nespresso machine and pods. We enjoyed cooking there and using the hot tub. The washer and dryer were super helpful. It was a great launching place for the Golden Circle. Stokkseyri is a cute little town with a great local pool. The turf house across the street was fun to explore as was the beach on the other side of the turf wall. It is very near Bakkahestar for highly recommended Icelandic horse rides with a local couple on the beach in Eyrarbakki. Nearby Selfoss has anything you need including an amazing fish market Fiskbud Suderlands for great prices on fresh caught local fish. Kristinn was very responsive and we loved our stay!

This home was both beautiful and private. The hot tub was so lovely to use after a long day of adventures. We would definitely stay here again!!

The Mountain Villa was fabulous - all 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were very well equipped and perfect for our needs. The sulphur smelling showers took a bit of getting used to but overall everything worked well including the sauna and hot tub. We even enjoyed playing with the a few games in the garden. We also loved sitting in the glass dome in the evenings - another fabulous feature of the house. Very highly recommended as a base to relax and to explore this amazing country!!

Lovely cabin in beautiful surroundings. Plenty of space, nice and clean, and the bonus of a private hot tub. Great location too - very peaceful, walkable down to a beach, and very handy for the airport.

Spacious, comfortable and very clean apartment. Equipped with every comfort, including an outdoor Jacuzzi. Strategic location to reach the main attractions in the south of the island. Highly recommended!

Sigurdur’s place is outstanding. Easy to get to, near everything we could have needed and a short drive to many attractions. This exceeded our expectations and will stay again on our next trip.

AMAZING!!! Runar’s place was even better than we could have imagined. The Northern Lights were extremely visible to the naked eye 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. The back deck was lovely to watch Aurora dance in the sky. The furniture and bed (we only used 1 of the 4) were extremely clean and comfortable! To our surprise, the bathroom floor was heated, which was a lovely touch! We absolutely loved our stay here. It was extremely peaceful and secluded but also so close to town. We have already started talking coming back to Iceland and staying here again. It is the perfect home in the perfect location on the Golden Circle.

Very confortable house, perfectly situated to visit the numerous interesting sites of the Snaefellsnes national park. Anarstapi is one of the beautiful site, you are at the heart of the peninsula and at the bottom of the Snaefelljokull. It is peaceful and isolated but not matter (best place for boreal aurora) ! The house is perfect, well equipped and the spa very attractive ! Our best place in Iceland !

The cabins sit on a road away from where reception is, and the instructions were clear to get there. The hot tub does take a while to fill up, since it is filled with geothermal spring water, but it is definitely a must in Iceland. Relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of hiking and traveling the Golden Circle was a perfect ending.

Warm little comfy cottage with views of Hekla & surrounding mountains. The cottage is beautifully situated in the Icelandic countryside right on the Golden Circle. You can easily explore the highlights of the Golden Circle from here and also go into the Highlands or explore the Southern Coast of Iceland. The bedroom offers nice panoramic views of the surrounding area, while the couch is also very comfortable and there is a hot tub that can easily be filled up and used for an Icelandic experience on the porch. Would definetly stay here again. Communication with the host was also fantastic!

This home is even prettier in person. The summer landscape had beautiful green hills and purple flowers. The outside has been recently updated which really stood out among the surroundings. The hot tub was a great feature, at first we thought it might not be hot enough, but once we got in with the cool weather and windy breeze, it was perfect. The location is great for exploring and hiking. The wool sweaters, hats etc. were very nice and well made. Our Iceland trip has been so much fun, and this AIRBB was a great choice!

Elsa was so helpful in recommending a route with lots of scenic stops on the way to the house! Their two cats were a joy to spend time with. We enjoyed the hot tub at sunset and Elsa’s fresh baked bread in the morning before heading back on the road. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time in this lovely cottage. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the well equipped kitchen. The view is amazing and the hottub is so nice. The hike from the cottage to Hellnar is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We had a wonderful stay for 5 days in the cottage. The landscape was breathtaking, the photos do not do it justice! The cottage is equipped with everything we could possibly need, and very easy to get to by car. The outside hot tub with geothermal water was a lovely feature and fills up quickly. Within an hour or two from the biggest touristy places which was nice. We will definitely be back!
