Great place! Amazing location, very stylish interior design, would definitely recommend. The downside was that the other guests were quite loud since 4am or so but I guess this isn’t Kex’s fault

Great location, easy walk to attractions and restaurants, other occupants of the hostel were courteous, friendly, and left the common areas as clean and organized as they found it.

Auberge parfaite pour un budget jeune serré (surtout dans ce pays où tout est cher) Rapport qualité/prix imbattable. Très bon accueil 24/24. Casier type lycéen à disposition pour déposer vos affaires (prenez votre propre cadenas pour éviter d'en acheter un chez eux) Le restaurant et le bar sont en travaux (pour encore quelques mois) ce qui est dommage car les échanges et les rencontres/discussions se font surtout proches des chambres et en cuisine, ce qui peut faire beaucoup de monde au même endroit et beaucoup de bruit surtout à des heures tardives. Ils proposent des boul quies (gratuit) indispensables bien sur. Auberge bien située dans un rayon de 10min à pied, vous pouvez explorer une bonne partie de la ville, du moins les quartiers les plus intéressants. Merci aux hôtes pour leurs conseils (une tempête à eu lieu pendant mon séjour, retardant mon vol d'une journée) météo et indications pendant cette situation exceptionnelle.

This is centrally located and within walking distance to downtown Reykjavik. The room was as described as well as very clean and sanitized. The check-in and Check-out were both so smooth as I was provided with very detailed information prior to arriving. There were multiple bathrooms/showers, very clean and sanitized as well. I would highly recommend the location for your stay in Reykjavik.

Wonderful location that was only a 5 minute walk from city hall. The room was very well kept with everything you could need in the house and more. Great communication from Aldis!

Aldi’s has a wonderfully clean and organized rooms. Their check system is safe and easy. I would recommend for anyone who is looking for affordable options and who don’t mind being away from the busyness but want to enjoy a chill and quiet location. They have all the little perks and amenities too. There is parking available and it is close enough to everything. Whether it’s the port or downtown area or some other destination you are not too far away. Have fun on your travels, y’all!

Booked Midgard because of the glowing reviews. Was a little nervous about the shared dorm rooms as I was traveling with a 9 year old, but we ended up having the room to ourselves. The place has a nice atmosphere and seems to be frequented by mostly young travelers who are friendly. There’s a shared kitchen that always seemed to be packed with people so we just ate at the restaurant. It was delicious but expensive (~$35 USD for a burger and small desert). The vibe here is why you come. Really wished the time limit for the rooftop hot tub and sauna was later than 10pm, as it was still light out at that time, but the staff did allow us to stay until 10:40. Showers were clean and private. I was worried that it would be a competition to snag one of the seemingly limited shared bathrooms but there never was. This is a great place to meet other travelers as it draws a certain, friendlier type. The staff seemed to be well taken care of as they were equally friendly.

La casa está muy bien situada y limpia. Aunque hay muchas habitaciones y huéspedes, no hay problemas para usar el baño o las duchas ya que hay un lavabo y dos baños. Siempre que he necesitado usarlos estaban disponibles. Para el check-in tienes que recoger las llaves en una caja fuerte, lo que está muy bien porque puedes entrar cuando quieras y sin molestar a nadie. El único inconveniente ha sido alojarnos mientras reforman la casa, ya que el ruido era molesto y habían trabajadores alrededor. Por todo lo demás, todo ha ido bien. Repetiría.

Wonderful place to stay! Very quiet building but still just a short walk to so many great things in Reykjavik. Would definitely stay here again.
