Holiday rentals with a kayak in Hyco Lake

Hycotherapy is Awesome! This was our second stay, and we are now discussing dates for our next visit to this property! The kitchen had every appliance you will need, and everything was in great working order! We spent the early mornings on the boat dock and thoroughly enjoyed watching the SunRise! Our family loves visiting this property for our stay at Hyco Lake! Plenty of activities, from swimming to kayaks & paddle boards to fishing, corn hole and more! Evenings around the fire pit are moments our family will always reminisce about! Very well equipped and Nicole is the very best “Super Host” !!!

We've stayed at Kristen's home three times. It is a peaceful and lovely location, and the house is very clean and welcoming. We find Roxboro a fun little town, and it is close to Virginia. I highly recommend.

Very peaceful and family friendly home! It was super clean and the water area is beautiful. The host was so helpful especially with a book with address to different places to eat or go.

We use this for our pastors annual retreat and it provided plenty of room for them to gather and also spaces for them to find solitude when necessary and also provide a great community space outside which they really enjoyed

The property is gorgeous, but the contract named rules not mentioned in the listing, and I wasn't sent the contract until a few days before we moved in, far too late to book something else - which I would have done, because this rendered this property less than ideal for us. I wish the listing was more clear and the contract was sent immediately after booking. The property itself, however was clean and beautiful.

Great little place close to the river

We had a great time at Adrian’s place. Our group really enjoyed the game room downstairs, and hot tub and fire pit outside. Making s’mores under the string lights was a highlight! The house is well appointed and the 8 of us felt like there was plenty of space to hang out and relax. We really appreciated Adrian’s responsiveness and helpful instructions.

This is a wonderful place to gather with family. Immaculate! We visited and ate most of our meals on the covered deck, where we enjoyed the view, the rain, and a beautiful double rainbow. The beds were very comfortable. AC worked really well. Water pressure was great! We had 6-8 fishermen/women who found the size of the dock a little confining, but they were happy with the bass and catfish they caught. We were extremely pleased to be able to use the pontoon boat. It, too, was immaculate. We enjoyed many of the water floats, paddleboards, and kayak. The only thing missing that would have been helpful -- Handrail leading to dock. We'd love to schedule again!

We had a great time paddle boarding the lake and chilling on the screened porch. Went out for drinks to buoys to break up the stay.

We had a great time at the Cottage! The lake was beautiful to kayak on and the general environment was very relaxing. The host was super kind and great with communication! Will definitely stay again if we come back to the area!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the hideaway. It was peaceful, the home was exceptionally clean, and it had everything we could ever need and more! The boathouse was so perfect with optimal shade all day and outstanding fishing, we caught a 21” catfish and many massive bass. There weren’t as many bugs as one would expect being in the woods, but we did love the screened patio and the screened room down on the dock. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone!

Very nice please , quickly responded to questions and to extending our stay. Second time there , will stay again.

Afika’s Beacon House is an art treasure on Lake Cammack. The location is perfectly situated between town and country here in the heart of North Carolina Piedmont. While still under some renovation during our stay, the house was warm and comfortable. All the amenities were complete, and what’s more, our host went out of his way to ensure that we felt welcome and were made comfortable the whole time. Be warned that one ought to be cautious of the wetland landscape alongside the lake, especially off-season. Visitors should bring and use proper footwear while hiking on lakeside city property nearby.

The cabin was exceptional and everything I was looking for in a private, and relaxing getaway. We especially enjoyed the peaceful mornings on the deck and utilizing the easy lake access for some paddle boarding and kayaking. The host was very welcoming and went out of his way to accommodate us and ensure our stay was enjoyable. I look forward to staying there again in the future!

Had a great weekend at the cabin. We have rented a few cabins on hyco lake and this location was probably our favorite. Fishing was fantastic and we found a resturant nearby that was, a little pricy, but amazing steak. It was the closest steak house when you google "steak near me". We spent hours down at the dock house and when inside the cabin, the coffee bar and couch called my name often lol.

Excellent place, very peaceful to go and disconnect from the daily grind. Close to Durham and Oxford, where the food is excellent! We spent a few incredible days, listening only to the sounds of nature. The cabin is super comfortable and private.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lisa’s “Play and Stay.” It was a short drive from Raliegh to this little piece of paradise. You can’t be bored with all the water equipment, outdoor games, and jacuzzi. Just relaxing on a longe chair, watching the ducks was awesome! Such a fun and relaxing stay. Lisa’s communication is excellent and she’s super accommodating. A+
