Monthly Rentals in Hestad

We stayed at this place with our family with 3 children for 4 nights. We were immediately impressed by the fantastic view and the very cozy house. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are fine, the living room is very cozy. The first day we took a nice walk to the opposite mountain and met a flock of sheep there. The days after it rained a lot, but we had plenty of books and board games with us. Even in rainy weather, the view never gets bored. The instructions to get to the house are very clear, as well as to switch on gas and electricity. No downsides! Highly recommended!

Everything is good, just like the first time

Everything was good, the accommodation looked like the pictures and matched the description. The contact with Trude was pleasant and uncomplicated. ☺️ We felt comfortable!

Made the hike up in 45 mins (1.15mi and 1500ft elev). Did it in my trail runners since it was particularly dry, but still found a couple of soft spots. The trail markings were easy enough to follow... if you keep your head up and search for the blue marks, which are no more than 50 feet apart, you should be good. The cabin has great views of the mountains and offers your own private waterfall, which is quite cold to bathe in! They have ample firewood, small wood stove, playing cards, candles, LED light off a solar charged battery. I brought up some pork chops from the store and cooked those on the propane gas stove with the pans provided, which turned out great. They had paper plates, napkins, paper cups, and some instant coffee up there too. Definitely recommend this setup if you're into off the beaten path adventures! You're the only one up there, guaranteed.
