Holiday rentals with a kayak in Henderson County

Pictures don’t do this property justice! Quiet neighborhood right on the lake makes for the perfect combo of R&R! Andrew is an exceptional host! Their home made traveling with my family and my brother’s family super easy with the two bedrooms and full bathroom upstairs and an additional full bathroom and bedroom (with living space) downstairs. The town (Saluda) is a short ride from the house. It was so cute, but since we were there for New Years, most businesses were closed. There’s an Ingles and a Walmart about 30 mins away to do shopping or pickup essentials. Inside the home is incredibly clean and well kept. We felt right at home! Thanks so much for the hospitality & can’t wait to come back again and experience a different season!

Beautiful home and boat house on Lake Summit. We stayed there with friends to attend a nearby wedding on Labor Day Weekend. House is warm, comfortable and spacious with a well-equipped kitchen. Lovely surroundings and just a short drive to the quaint town of Saluda. Paddle boards and floating chairs are available to guests and we particularly enjoyed sitting on the covered boat house porch on a rainy afternoon. Highly recommend this home for those visiting this part of North Carolina.

The house was perfect for a large party. We arrived with 5 adults and 6 children. Everyone had a space, and everyone was comfortable. We spent 85% of our time on the screened in porch. It was perfect other than some of the furniture was not exactly comfortable. Everything is there for a large party. The kids especially LOVED all of the stuffed animals in the bunk room. There were toys, games and books for the kids, and I truly appreciated that. The views are stunning! We are already planning our visit next year! Thank you for being a great host. Lauri McKell

Great space, beautiful surroundings, lots of things to do, awesome for kids

My family loved this beautiful lake house. My kids were in the water almost the whole time, and we also enjoyed a beautiful jog around the lake.

Best top of the mountain view of Lake Sheila possible (Saluda, NC). The property was more spacious and the views more breathtaking than the photos could represent. Great and proactive host as well, glad to give solid 5 stars and would like to visit again.

Kelly and Alissa were wonderful. We really enjoyed the home and there is so much to do close to the house. You can walk to the Brevard Health and Racquet club with an indoor heated pool, gym, tennis courts, pickleball court, outdoor pool, and kids club. You can walk to the Deerwoode Reserve that also has wonderful events and a beautiful property. Close to grocery stores and amenities. Home is fully equiped. We appreciate the hosts very much and really enjoyed the area.

This place is a great location , stocked well and can walk to everything in town . Communicate great . We were in town for a wedding at Village on Green -so easy to get to everything.

This is the most serene comfortable home we have ever had the pleasure to visit. It is very private, beautifully appointed, and has every convenience you need or could wish for. It is situated right in the middle of quiet nature setting on a small lake with all kinds of birds, fish, turtles and other of Gods beautiful creatures. The host was easy to communicate with and very responsive. We plan to go back hopefully for a longer stay next time. We happened to be in Cashiers to attend a funeral. When we arrived there were fresh flowers and a personal condolence card sitting on the kitchen counter. Such a thoughtful gesture. Definitely recommend and we are going back! Oh and the beds are super comfortable which means a lot to us!!!

The Cottage at Lake Lure provided unmatched views and a relaxed and peaceful retreat. Outdoor spaces are beautiful but unfortunately the boat house that was present at the time of booking had been taken down by the time of our stay, reducing the ability to be on the lake. Access to paddleboards and kayaks a plus and the ability to rent a pontoon was a wonderful bonus. Wifi access was spotty and phone service challenging - this provided some challenges to individuals who planned to work a remote day from the booking. Overall a great stay with fire pit, grill, time on the water, and gorgeous scenery.

Debbie's lakeside retreat was a beautiful home away from home. It was the perfect size for 1-2 people and very well stocked (cooking essentials, grilling supplies, kayaking things, shampoo/conditioner, etc.). We LOVED having access to the lake and hanging out at the water. The area was very quiet and super relaxing. Also, the year round Christmas tree made me feel super cozy. Top tier air bnb.

We had a quick stay for camp drop off. Very comfortable home and beds. Clear instructions for getting there and staying.

This was my second visit to Marthas and once again it did not disappoint. This time we decided to book specifically for a father son fishing trip. We had a blast caught plenty bass blue gill and some catfish. I normally never catch any bass but they were pumping on my hook all weekend. Martha is always helpful very responsive and so polite she always leaves a little snack in kitchen when you enter. The furniture is cozy and very comfortable the setting is relaxing and beautiful view. The neighbors are polite great restaurants nearby and easy to drive to with many grocery stores close by the locals are so friendly and welcoming.

This was the perfect location for our celebration of my mountain biking husband’s 50’th birthday. While the guys were biking the rest of our crew hiked the private trails at Conastee Falls within the neighborhood and paddle boarded and kayaked on Ticoa Lake. The house is located right on the lake, and adjacent to the boat launch and dock with a ladder, which was very convenient. The home has its own dock with kayaks and paddle boards to use. We did not use the Pedal pontoon. (It is noted in the description but for water access you need to be able to walk a good may steps down to the water from the house or drive down to the Ticoa Lake access one space over if it is too steep fo you to descend and ascend the stairs. We brought our dog with us and Jenni’s home accommodated her so well, with a large crate and dog toys and feeding bowls. The lower deck has the ability to fence in a space for pets while you relax in the hot tub or sit on the deck. The home had everything we needed.

Pepper's Place was perfect for our family of four for a short getaway in the greater Greenville area. The views of the lake were outstanding from the living room, deck, and primary bedroom, and we enjoyed swimming and paddling off the dock. The cottage was very clean and spacious with a great layout. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved our visit to Deerwoode Reserve. What an amazing space to unwind and enjoy the mountains! We loved everything about our stay. The directions and recommendations prior to the stay were very helpful for planning with two families. The bedrooms were perfect and we all loved the cabin feel. The girls enjoyed staying all together in the bunk room. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep. The best part of the place is the 175 acres for exploration and play. Thankful that the kids got to be kids and unplug from devices. They kayaked and explored and swang for hours! We did several of the hiking trails and had nice quiet woods to ourselves. Deerwoode Reserve is only an hour away from the Blue Ridge Parkway and close to the conveniences of Brevard’s downtown. We highly recommend it and plan to return again to make an annual trip!

Excellent location and perfect sized cabin for a nice weekend getaway. perfect spot to use as a base camp for the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway, particularly to see the changing leaves! Dionne was an extremely understanding, responsive, and reasonable host. Will definitely return and recommend to others!

The property was beautiful! The lodge was just as big and spacious as the pictures showed. Everyone had their own space and even when we were all in the living room at the same time, it didn't feel too loud or too crowded. It rained almost the entire time we were there, but they provided free firewood and smores supplies and we had such a nice relaxing weekend spending time with family.

This place has a great area for dogs to run around and 15-20 minutes from anything you forgot. A stove would be nice but there is a grill so you can cook out.

Donna has a wonderful place tucked away with a beautiful woodland view. All amenities were available and useful. Donna was very responsive with anything we needed at the time of our stay. We will be back for sure!

Everything was wonderful! Beautiful location, great hosts and SO much to do. The cabin looked just like the photos and it was perfect for our large group! Can’t wait to come back!!

I cannot say enough about the beautiful views from the Little Log Cabin. We enjoyed the surroundings from dawn to dusk. The trails were amazing. My entire family and our dogs had a great trip running around the property! The hike to the top of the mountain was tough but we all enjoyed it! The cabin was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and seating! Can't wait to go again!

We planned a quick last minute getaway for a short weekend before our kids go back to school. Not being familiar with the Brevard area we were greatly surprised how private this location is but how close it is to downtown Brevard. The property had lots to offer and plenty of room for us to explore and plenty of leg room outside for our kids to play. The cabin was great as well, it had everything we needed. We enjoyed it so much that we are already planning another trip and will make sure to rebook this property! Thank you for having us!
