Monthly Rentals in Grottole

It’s a gem, this appartment. Quiet with a fabulous roofterrace and in about 30 Minutes you are in Matera. Owners are quick responders and gave us usefull (diner)suggestions.

We absolutely loved the enormous cozy cave like home with stunning views from the terraces. It could not have been any better. Tudor was so kind and helpful and even helped get our group of eight with luggage in tow up to his gorgeous villa. Spritzes on the terrace were so enjoyable with the views. We ate lunch both days at Austin’s just a very short walk away. Dinner at Amore Crusco’s was great. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you, sir!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Prospero’s in Matera. The apartment was exactly as described, spacious with absolutely anything you could need: fully stocked bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, first aid kit, with a terrace with a gazebo, outdoor dining area and 2 sun lounges. We didn’t want for anything! Prospero was very friendly and helpful. He greeted us on arrival, gave us a full rundown of the property and all of its amenities so we didn’t find ourselves looking for anything. In addition, he gave us many local recommendations for food (we went to Il Terrazzino on our second night at his recommendation and it was fabulous) - he gave us a map of Matera and told us the important places to visit, how to get there and how to acquire tickets. The apartment is also conveniently located just a 10 minute walk from the beautiful historic centre! All in all a big success and we would definitely stay again/recommend to a friend! Apartment was very nice. It came with everything you need, including towels, soap, and a coffee machine with pods. Felicia was very accomodating with the check-in time. The location is perfect for visiting Basilicata, not just for Matera but also for all the other beautiful villages in the countryside. Salandra is a nice little town, with a supermarket 5-10 minutes away by walking. One thing to know is that the wifi is borderline non-existant (couldn't even load google maps sometimes) and there's no service in the apartment, so I reccomend bringing a book. Alternatively if you leave your phone by the door, you'll have just enough service to do a hotspot. Also the cooking utensils were a little bit lacking, but we made do
