Monthly Rentals in Grimes County

Our second stay here and it was as splendid as we remembered. Peaceful and quaint. We will be back!

A wonderful place to relax away from the crowds at our son's graduation from Texas A&M, and an easy drive to Houston. Everything is just as shown in the photos and described, and John was very responsive and helpful. We especially enjoyed the history - of the house, the Fanthorp Inn historic site (and their very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers), and "downtown" Anderson with its 2 antique stores and Toasted Tomato (we didn't have a chance to try the others). As an old house with lots of character, it does have some quirks (steps up to the house and down to the bathroom) that may make it challenging for those with impaired mobility, but with handrails my 80-year-old father had no problems. We hope to come back again sometime!

We loved our stay here! It was tranquil, clean, and well-appointed. The air conditioning works really well. The place is spotless. There is little table by a window where we had morning coffee and watched the birds. There are fluffy, white towels and all the comforts of home. There is a slight old house/musty odor when you walk in from the driveway but it’s slight and only right there. It’s an older home and so that kind of thing is fine by me! Thank you for the great stay, and apologies for running late when we left! It was hard to leave.

We were visiting the area for my niece’s wedding at on of the local venues. We decided on renting this house instead of staying at a hotel. I’m so glad we did! The house was extremely clean and comfortable, and is located on a beautiful piece of acreage. Shane, our host, was incredibly responsive and friendly, and made us feel right at home. I would recommend this place to anyone needing to stay in this area!
