Katie’s place was a lovely base for us to explore the surrounding area from. Clean, spacious and within a short walk of the main street in Mallacoota. Katie was also very responsive after we experienced a little drama in the pouring rain, which was much appreciated! An all round great experience.

Comfortable, clean, and private. We loved watching the stars from the back deck. Comfortable bed and friendly host. Internet was sufficient for casual use. It may not be fast enough for working remotely, but we were on vacation so it didn’t matter. We saw wild koalas at the nearby caravan park!

If you love having nature on your doorstep whilst feeling right at home, Bellbird Retreat is the perfect spot to stay in Mallacoota. Backing onto Shady Gully we saw a koala, over 30 varieties of birds (lyrebirds/honeyeaters/parrots/raptors) and at night had a visit from a long-nosed bandicoot. Annette and Chris were wonderful hosts with local recommendations and even baked some delicious bread during our stay! The well equipt spacious place was comfortable and cosy. We look forward to coming back again.

It’s a quiet and peaceful place to stay. My friends and I had a great time, especially enjoying a cozy movie night together. I’d definitely recommend this place to others and will gladly choose it again on my next trip to Mallacoota!
