The BEST and most memorable Airbnb experience I've had ❤️ we made a very last minute booking request and the host kindly accepted it. Ms. Shanthi and her son Ramesh were incredibly sweet and welcoming—they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Right from the moment I booked, Ramesh actively checked in with us to make sure that our ride to Dehiwala went smoothly. He didn't hesitate to help us carry our heavy bags, which I really appreciated. Throughout our stay, they gave us great recommendations for local spots and provided very clear, precise directions that made getting around so easy !The space was exactly as pictured: clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. You can really feel the care they put into making guests comfortable. What truly stood out was their warmth and kindness—it was so sincere and uplifting, the kind of generosity of spirit that lingers long after you leave. A nice, clean place in a pleasant neighborhood of Colombo. There are a few good restaurants close by and landmarks/attractions within walking distance. Surekha is a very nice and friendly host, always ready to answer questions.

Comfy place, I had a great stay there.

Nice studio apartment. TV with cable channels. Kitchenette was good. Big space. Difficult for taxi to find, as no street name, but great directions from host. Nishani was eager to help whenever possible.

Ajith was a kind and welcoming host, going beyond what can be expected. I thoroughly recommend staying at his place, and thank him kindly for his help.

There are so many lovely things about this place, all have been said in other reviews but I'll repeat them: The location is great - right in the middle of Colombo near shops, cafes, restaurants, and main roads, but down an extremely quiet lane from which you hear no city noise. The space has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. This is a completely private space but attached to Harshani's house, so she is always close by if you have any questions or need anything, but never intrusive. You walk to and from your private entrance through an incredibly lovely garden -- so that's the space. Now the hosts: Harshani and her sister live in the main house and couldn't be more lovely. They are both friendly and kind and made me feel incredibly welcome. Highly recommend this studio for a great stay in Colombo.

When visiting Sri Lanka I have been staying at Anu's place the past few years. High points consist of safe & quiet location and nearby grocery stores & eating places.

I stayed with Roshanthi and Jimmy at 26, Melford Crescent, Dehiwala during my visit to Sri Lanka. Both Roshanthi and Jimmy were very friendly and welcoming. One day, I had a memorable conversation with Jimmy for almost an hour — he is incredibly knowledgeable, speaks wonderfully, and we discussed a range of interesting topics. On other days, our interactions were short but always warm and pleasant. The house has a beautiful, partially open living area surrounded by greenery and flowers, including a lovely Frangipani tree, which made the environment very peaceful and refreshing. It was a perfect spot for relaxation and study, and my study partners often joined me there. They also have a sweet dog named Leah, who was a little shy but added to the homely atmosphere. Overall, my stay with Roshanthi and Jimmy was excellent. Their warmth and hospitality made me feel at home, and I am truly grateful for the experience. I would highly recommend their place to anyone visiting Colombo.

Third stay at natasha's place and it was an excellent experience as per usual. extremely supportive, understanding and responsive.

This place was a great find. I loved the location and the private nature of the unit. The host's parents were the sweetest people I met in Sri Lanka. They were very helpful and caring. The room is private and has all the amenities that's described in the listing. It's a little far from Negombo beach but it's located in a very peaceful and safe neighborhood. Great choice for solo travellers/couples . If I come back, this place will be my first choice.

I cannot say enough of my stay at Natasha’s place. It’s exactly as described. I found Natasha place relaxing, very clean with all the things in a home provided as expected and you only had to ask if need anything. The places I wanted to travel to were fairly close. I found Natasha and co-host Gihan absolutely wonderful hosts very knowledgeable and very helpful and understanding no task was too hard and treated me like family including Natasha mum a lovely lady. I had a wonderful time loved every moment. I would definitely recommend any person staying at Natasha’s place.

We had a wonderful stay at Batay Guesthouse in Kegalle. The house is beautiful, well-maintained, and rich in family history, which adds a unique charm to the experience. Everything was spotlessly clean and surrounded by a harmonious garden that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. One of the owners, Mrs. Shiromi, was exceptionally kind and welcoming. Along with her attentive staff, she made sure all our needs were met with warmth and efficiency. The ladies in the kitchen truly spoiled us with delicious traditional dishes, bringing to life the authentic flavors of the local culinary heritage. In short, this is a peaceful haven — a perfect place to rest, recharge, and explore the many interesting activities the area has to offer. Thank you!

This place is a true gem! Post booking communication is real gooooood! Staff present were so nice & happy going :) took in all the requests and made sure everything was top-notch! Everything about my stay was perfect, all thanks to Samantha and his team. If you want to feel home “away from home” this is kind of place you book hands-down!!

Nice, self contained flat within walking distance of central Colombo. Loved the washer, drier and air con. Panoramic view of Colombo from bed. Loved the stay, would stay here again.

You get the entire second floor in a beautiful house. The location is good, not too far from shopping districts but not too close either, just right. The garden is lovely and always full of squirrels, and I can't even list the number of amazing creatures I've seen from the windows while staying here. The host is extremely friendly and accommodating. We liked it so much, we stayed for another month!

Wijith's stay was impeccable clean, we'll appointed, and had all the furnishings you would need to have a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the outdoor terrace and ate all our meals there. The property is located at the end of a street and incredibly private, and the CCTV and garage made us feel very safe. It takes about 20-30 minutes to get into the heart of Colombo, but you have all the necessary groceries and food options available closeby. Wijith himself was very respectful and attentive and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Would recommend this stay for anyone who wants to have a little peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the main city, while still being able to access it via tuktuk or cab.
