Nature eco lodge holiday rentals in Gampaha

A small oasis in a spot in the jungle. Not very close to the airport but very nicely located. Attentive staff and everything well arranged. A nice swimming pool really makes it complete.

A piece of paradise Yes, after this long trip by plane , the jet lag, the difference in temperature, a feverish child and other factors that came into account, I found myself here in this spring: everything was so perfect: airport pick-up, arrival juice, lunchtime meal, in the evening, room service, a large room, clean room. And then the pool for after naps, fresh water without chlorine, the helpfulness of the manager, the smiles of the boys and their care for our meals, the garden maintained fervently by its gardener, ama and its curry rice, the birds' songs, calm tranquility... everything was appreciable to spend our jetlag in peace, without hesitation I would come back... I was able to start my serene trip on a 4-hour bus via Kandy:-)

Great place for a first night after arriving in Sri Lanka. Having a pool is a blessing after a long flight and fighting the temperature change. Rooms are well equipped (AC, international Outlets), hospitality was really good, food was ok. Gampaha Station was just a TukTuk Ride away.

My stay at Gileemale Walawwa was an experience that will not soon be forgotten. The hospitality that Ishantha and his amazing staff provide is on par with the Royal treatment that this property’s long history is known for. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, our comfort and wellbeing seemed to be the number one priority. Given the property’s rich history of over 300 years it felt like a time capsule full of charm and personality of the past, while at the same time providing more than enough modern amenities for our comfort. Away from any and all societal chaos, Ishantha’s property is a true hidden gem while still being close enough to the town of Ratnapura for anything more you could need. The attention to detail in regard to the guest experience here is unmatched and I would love to return one day. Thank you Ishantha!

Great room, with air conditioning and hot water. Large and comfortable bathroom. The room overlooks the garden, where the birds fly and the sounds of the jungle can be heard. The house is very clean. The host is an amazingly kind and sociable person who also loves to travel. Constantly treated me to all sorts of goodies. The house is located in a quiet location in a residential area, while within walking distance you can find parks, cafes, restaurants, shops and laundry’s. Also a 15-minute taxi ride is the bus station and the railway station, from which you can go anywhere in Sri Lanka. The center of Colombo is about 20-30 minutes by scooter.

Beautiful place, very clean and aesthetic. We also had lunch and breakfast at the Airbnb which was full of flavour and authenticity to Sri Lanka. Would definitely stay again

Ishantha’s Heritage home is a gorgeous place to visit. The grounds are spectacular with lots of extra activities to sign up for. Ishantha & his team are wonderful hosts, the food is incredible, authentic Sri Lankan for breakfast & diner. We did the cooking lesson which was a lovely pass time. I would definitely like to return at some point. (From Holly)
