Family-friendly holiday rentals in Galena

It was a great house for my bachelorette trip! Lots of space and bathrooms, plus a huge dining area for everyone to fit at!

My husband and I had one of the romantic evenings ever staying here. Absolutely everything was perfect. We walked to the restaurant, Highlands, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the golf course and a bottle of wine without the worry of driving. The bathtub & fireplace were everything!! Worth every penny & more!

My family of 5 traveled to Galena over Thanksgiving and stayed in this home. It was very comfortable and clean, and my family had a wonderful visit. Everything in the home was as described, and Stephen was quick to respond to any questions that I had. The town is charming, and quaint. We went on a ghost tour, shopped downtown and went to Grant’s home. We would 100% stay at Stephen’s place again if we ever go back to Galena!

This place was amazing! Fireplace. Bigger than expected. Very clean. The hospitality was dope! Great view of the "mountains" . Pretty cool experience. The extra pull out bed is such a nice touch!

Very cute space for a getaway. Parking was easy and the location was great.

Exceeded our expectations. Having 2 toddlers with our group, the kids' playroom along with the nursery was a blessing. We also took advantage of our access to the Owners Club and swam in the pools, played ping pong, etc. We cooked most of our meals, and the kitchen was very well stocked with what we needed. We used the grill, the hot tub, the firepit, the gameroom, and the movie room. Everything worked well and was clean. Many of our group mentioned how comfortable the beds were. A very enjoyable time and we hope to return.

What a great place and great hosts! Nice of Don to share history of the place. One of the best stocked places we've stayed. Also very clean with plenty of bedding and towels! The barn located behind is wonderful--great pizza, great beers and plenty of room. Truly one of the best places we've stayed.

Great price for a lovely weekend. Group of ten were comfortable and had plenty of privacy. We went for the balloon festival which we could see from the yard. Plenty of towels for hot tub. Thank you!

This place is a beautiful little getaway. Right up the road from the river, it is peaceful and quiet. Lots of fun architecture to see in town and the river walk is lovely. Our dogs were welcomed which made the trip 10x more enjoyable. The house is cozy, warm and feels very much like home. Sue has an entry table in the home with suggestions for local activities, eateries, shopping which was nice to refer to. Overall we were happy with the space. It was nice to know that Sue was in the house next door for questions, but she very much provided privacy unlike some places I’ve stayed. I highly recommend!

This cabin was the perfect retreat from our busy lives. It was in a peaceful, quiet area with deer and wild turkeys walking through the backyard. The cabin was very clean, inside and outside. The landscape was beautiful and everything is within a short drive from the lake to the local winery to the restaurants on Main Street. We had such a wonderful stay and hope to visit again soon!

We loved our stay!! The house was so cute and looked just as pictured and described. We loved how private it felt while still close to everything in Galena. Huge bonus was the walking trail to downtown! Hosts were responsive and friendly.

This house was amazing. It had everything you could need. Four bathrooms was a plus. Hot tub, pool table, fireplace and pit. it was rural but not far fromots of things to do. We had 4 turkeys in our backyard, someone horseback riding next to our house (right on a trail) and the last day, 2 deer walked across the front yard.

Our stay at the Bird Cottage was great! We can see why it’s earned so many glowing reviews. The house was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway—both spacious and cozy, and very accommodating. The views of the Driftless Region’s rolling hills were beautiful in every direction, and the bird activity around the property added an extra layer of charm. We’d definitely love to return.

We had an amazing stay! Dan was great with recommendations and instructions! The place was clean private area and just like the pictures. Look forward to booking in the future! My mom had a great birthday weekend!

This was our second time at Ho Hum East and we had a great time! The new deck updates were super nice adding outdoor space to layout food and enjoy most meals on the deck. The outdoor kitchen wasn't completed yet but, will be a great addition to the new deck when it's done. The main bath was newly remodeled and was very nice and spacious. The lake front was well maintained and a great space for us to spend most of our time enjoying the water, sun, fishing, boating, nature and wildlife. The dock was a little wobbly although, we were told that was being replaced at some point but it worked for us. The airbnb owner provided a paddleboard, rubber raft, corn hole boards and other outdoor items to use. The proximity of the home was only a few minutes from amenities i.e. pool, golf course, beach and The Cove (restaurant). The only drawback is all the steps - it would be great if there was a pulley system or other system to take items up and down the steps from the house to the lake front.

Had a lovey stay. Beautiful clean home. Was nice to come back to after snowboarding at Chestnut. We will visit again.

Ginger’s place by far is our favorite and nicest Airbnb location that we have ever stayed. The communication before our stay was top notch. We knew if we had any questions they would be quick to respond. Beautiful home we can’t wait to come back!

This is the 2nd time I booked Laurie's place, so you know we were pleased the first time. It didn't disappoint. Last time was for our son's wedding, this time was for our future daughter-in-law's girls' weekend. House was perfect for hanging out, close to downtown for shopping and a night out.

This was a great location. Very cute home. Its is probably one of the most well equipped and furnished homes I have stayed in. Lots of kitchen utensils. The basement bed was super comfortable. Will definitely try to stay here again.

Had a great weekend at this quiet, cute cabin! Lovely setting and perfect setup for two couples. Nice little outdoor area and fire pit, peaceful surroundings, well setup for cooking and grilling, and very comfortable. Our friends had stayed here before and we can see why!

excellent location, fast and easy to downtown shops, or to explore the amenities. amazing restaurants, felt safe. will stay again.

This is the 2nd time we've gotten a Rosebud property and, as always, never disappointed!! Will be back again, soon!!!
