Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Friendship

The place was as described and clean; had everything we needed. It is out of town so you have to drive to get places but centrally located to go to Boothbay, Rockland, Camden etc all within about 30 min drive. Host was very friendly and communicative. Perch cafe was great and only 10 mins away. Would recommend.

Perfect weekend retreat for a small family with a young one. Close to downtown, museum, and the firepit was so nice at night. 5 stars all around and will return in the future. Thanks Phillip!

Morning sunrise across the harbor with rose, pink, purple, blue neon colors? Check! Funky, Artsy, Unique cottage features (by all means, appreciate the Art Glass newel posts)? Check! Clean, cozy, comfortable and induces lazy R&R? Double Check!! Nearby places to explore, learn history, eat & drink hearty, hike, shop for treasures? Also double check!! My husband and I frequent the Pemaquid Peninsula during all seasons. Sometimes we camp, sometimes we find hidden gems to stay for a weekend...Ken's Cottage is a keeper...Triple Check!!! Simply magical! Cozy and fun space. We enjoyed watching eagles and ospreys fish, seals pop their heads up, and even an adorable family of foxes from the comfort of the living room! Kitchen had all necessities for cooking most meals at home. A nice trail for walking down the road and an awesome beach where the kids threw stones and searched for seaglass each afternoon. We were all sad to leave!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We unexpectedly had beautiful cloudless days most of the week. Great location & easy to get to the Harbor and Southport both of which we enjoyed! Recommend the Carriage House for a really top quality meal as well as Blue Moon Cafe (good lobster roll) which was one of Shirin’s recommendations. Would totally stay here again!!

What an AMAZING stay! We loved staying at the lake house and enjoyed extra that came with it! The bed was comfortable, the rooms were all beautifully decorated and we both loved the hot tub! Although it rained almost the entire time we were able to enjoy the game room and the fire place. We have already told our friends and family how much of a great stay we had!

We really enjoyed our stay at April’s private river retreat house. The apartment was very clean with lots of amenities. The travel toiletries were a nice surprise. We were about a 30 minute drive from Bar Harbor but it took close to an hour to get to some trailheads in Acadia NP. The weather got hot during our stay and April had her husband come to put the window AC in for us which was appreciated. Our only complaint was slow response time from the host during our stay and difficulty finding the driveway upon initial arrival. Google maps said the house was 3 doors closer on the road than it actually was. We would love to come back in the future!

We had a wonderful stay. Pat was very responsive and helpful, the place was comfortable, quiet and perfectly located. It was easy to come and go and the island is idyllic. We loved our first visit to Maine!

This Airbnb was exactly as listed. Everything is updated, very clean, and comfortable. Jordana was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again.

Cute place! I enjoyed my stay. The hot tub was hot when I arrived, which I didn’t expect but highly appreciated!

We had a great stay. The location is quiet but just a few minutes away from amazing restaurants, cafes, and breweries. Highlights: The bed was super comfortable. The sauna was great on a rainy day. The walkability to the Back Bay trail was appreciated.

I had an amazing stay! Rachael was a very responsive host, and was very helpful throughout my stay. The location was quiet but within driving distance of all the things I wanted to do, and it matched all my expectations based on the listing. If I’m ever back in the area, I would certainly love to stay here again!

Jean’s place was amazing, and she was the perfect host! The apartment was perfect for us! The king size bed was so comfortable, and everything was just as described. The location on the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. Jean and Bob very generous and let us use their whole property including wonderful swings to rest on and lake kayaks and a paddle boat! We were scouting out places to buy near Winthrop, and Jean had some great advice and was super helpful! We will be back!

I cannot say enough about Nancy, the unit I stayed in, or her hospitality! This apartment was perfect and cozy for my visit, with lots of personal touches and extras - if you need it, she’s already thought of it and has it ready for you. She was also very accommodating when my flight was cancelled and I had to shift my days around a bit. The personal touches were perfect - I had farm fresh eggs for breakfast and some delicious muffins too. A wonderful stay, thank you! I will most definitely be back! ❤️

A beautiful rustic cabin in an amazing spot. Lori is a great host and is always near in her farmhouse to communicate and get you what you need. Appleton is not far from Camden / Rockland but has that rustic getaway feel. The option of adding a wonderful soak in the hot tub, wood fired sauna, massage and breakfast are available as well. I’ll be back next year! Thank you for everything, Lori!

We have stayed at Jackies place twice now and enjoyed it just as much this time as the last. Even though it rained for two days the house is plenty big enough to spread out. We had to change our reservation days twice because of circumstances and Jackie was very accomidating..

Connor was an AMAZING host! From the very beginning, he was always very responsive, and was consistently available to answer my questions promptly. His cabin on the lake was so cozy, it truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully decorated, peaceful, serene, well-stocked with anything that one could need. His recommendations were extensive and were very much appreciated. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and really loved being able to stay there with friends for a few days before departing for another excursion. It gave us time to celebrate and make some great memories with them - something that we will always treasure! The worst thing about this cabin? - Having to leave it in the rearview mirror! The cabin in Penobscot was exactly what we needed for a quick trip away. Not only was it quiet and peaceful, but the cabin itself was beautiful, thoughtfully appointed, and extremely comfortable. We came up to Maine to see Acadia and Bar Harbor, and while they were a bit of a drive away, it was an easy and scenic drive. The cabin is perfect for couples and families alike, and we can’t wait to stay again in the future!

Our stay at the cabin was wonderful! The cabin was peaceful and had fun touches that made it a quintessential new england getaway. Far enough from Acadia that you don’t feel crowded by the tourist traffic, but the drive felt quick :) Terri even made sure there was a life vest small enough for my niece so she could enjoy swimming/kayaking with us! We will definitely be back 🩷 My only wish is that I spent more time just sitting on the porch!

Perfect for our little girls trip!! We were able to enjoy the hiking and peacefulness of a remote location but also took a day trip to Portland. Would definitely recommend!
