Waterfront holiday rentals in Friendship

We are so grateful for our stay at Alice's place. My husband and I stayed with our two small daughters and had a blast. The apartment was so beautiful- updated but with lots of attention to detail and Maine character. We especially enjoyed meals in the little dine in kitchen, and having laundry available. I was familiar with this area as a former Mainer, and the quiet neighborhood made us feel at home. Thank you so much! We highly recommend Alice's place. :)

Pam's place was absolutely perfect. The location was ideal, very close (walkable) to many shops and restaurants. It's situated on the second floor of a building on a pier, which was very private, quiet, and relaxing. The space was more than large enough for myself and my husband. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with all needed amenities for a week-long stay. Pam's communication was stellar! She responded quickly when asked about restaurant/bar suggestions to watch our team's baseball game and other non-emergent inquiries. It was obvious she cared about her place and her guests. Her added touches (personal note and chocolates) made us feel welcome. If we ever find ourselves back in Boothbay, there is no doubt we will stay at Pam's place!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location was perfect, right in town and right by the water. Lissette was very attentive, gave us a coupon for the place we were going to dinner in town, and then we mentioned we were wanting to do a bonfire and she started it for us! We loved sitting on the private dock and enjoying the river views and being able to walk to get breakfast, lunch, or dinner in town. Highly recommend staying here!

These accommodations were perfect! Overlooking the Casco Bay harbor, the view was even better than depicted in the pictures. The condo was meticulously clean and very well appointed. The beds and pillows were so comfortable we slept even better than we do at home. The location could NOT have been better! It overlooks Portland’s old-town shopping district, and is easily walkable to all of the best restaurants in town. There is a beautiful walking trail just up the street, and you can easily catch the ferry to the islands from this location. It is convenient, beautiful and welcoming.

So peaceful but off season. So not sure how it would be with lots of traffic and people. But the private deck and entrance was wonderful. The water view couldn’t have been more up close and personal with the beautiful harbor. The place was clean and cozy. Perfect lighting. Didn’t watch tv once. A convenient common room for extra supplies or a cup of coffee. Staff was very friendly when we were checking out. No front desk attendant and none needed. They answer messages quickly!

We had a lovely night at Audray’s place! The location & the views exceed expectations. It was clean, cozy and inviting. Edited to add- not reducing stars for this because we enjoyed the accommodations, but I want other travelers w/ pets to be aware: Audray reached out 24+ hours after we checked out to say her cleaning person reported “an excess of pet hair on furniture and linens than her washing machine could not handle”, and requested we mail her an extra $50 to cover special laundering. We sent $75 on platform instead as we were shocked and sorry to hear this. We found it surprising b/c were in the condo only 14 hours, we immediately covered the furniture w/ pet covers (we brought our own) upon arrival, we covered the beds w/ our own extra top sheets to protect the quilts from pet hair, & we do not let dogs sleep in the beds- we bring pet beds. We have only received compliments on cleanliness & exclusively 5 star reviews from hosts over 7 yrs and 23 stays all w/ multiple pets.

Our stay at The Bee Keepers Cottage was amazing. The property met our needs perfectly and it was super cute and cozy. The host was very responsive and communicative. And for any star gazers out there, the sky on a clear night is mesmerizing.

A lovely, clean, cozy option that’s convenient to LDI, Brooklin, etc. Nancy is a wonderful host, and the place is quiet and peaceful.

Wonderful quiet place to relax for a Fall weekend. You feel right over the water. Accommodations cozy and comfortable. Will plan to return!

The house on the tidal river was perfect! My wife loved the extra suite as a get away for reading and watching the wildlife on the river. Easy to get to town by taking the walkway bridge too! Kathy was a great host!

We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful and quiet time of rest at The Rising Tides. The setting is absolutely serene. It’s very secluded and quiet, the perfect place for a week of rest and relaxation. We went hiking on the Cliff Trail (15 minutes away and a very nice hiking trail), watched the sunrise at the Lands End store on Bailey island (15-20 minutes), and kayaked in the cove. The grill was very nice and we enjoyed cooking on it regularly. The place was very clean and ready on our arrival. The host communicated very clearly. You will need to follow her driving directions as they are very clear and helpful. In our four days there we only saw 1 neighbor - and that was as we were leaving on the weekend. There’s a grocery store only 15 minutes away and we were able to stock up on our way there. Really, this was one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed. We really enjoyed having a few options of things to do while also being able to just do nothing on our vacation in a quiet place.

This spot is a great location for having a quiet, low-key escape. The house is very comfortable and the deck has plenty of space to relax and enjoy the exceptional view! It's a very short walk to ice cream, coffee, the General Store, etc. The pace of living slows down a notch here, and it's easy to feel like you are a part of the town very quickly. The hosts were top-notch and super responsive. Fantastic experience!

Easy 5 stars! Phillip was kind, proactive and responsive. The space, while quaint and simple, was clean, had all the essentials and, it was perfect for a week visiting my grandparents/ working remote! Not to mention my dogs loved being a half mile from the Bath dog park. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a Maine mid-coast getaway!

Shirin’s home was the most beautiful and relaxing location I’ve ever stayed in. The view, the sounds of the birds, the space- I couldn’t have asked for more on our hopefully annual Maine vacation. Boothbay Harbor has captured our hearts, and I cannot recommend staying here enough. Close enough to drive 6 minutes to Coastal Maine Boatnic Gardens and just a few minutes to downtown- parking has always been relatively easy (and free) on the street downtown. BOOK TODAY!

Crissy and this beautiful cozy cabin in the woods, are both wonderful! Arrangements couldn’t be easier, lots of recommendations for things to do, but just hanging out in the home is nice too. Great place to unwind.

Unit was very clean, situated in a quiet residential area and within walking distance to many of Portland's best bars, restaurants and attractions. Host was communicative and provided clear guidance on check-in/-out procedures and offered up suggestions to local attractions. On my recommended list - dinner at Twelve (one of the best restaurants in the US, IMHO); on-site food truck tacos washed down with a Hazy IPA at Bellflower or Austin Street Brewery; an everything bagel with lox & morning latte at Forage; the East Promenade for a food truck lunch, then a stroll along the waterfront trail to the port area for an ice cream cone at Gorgeous gelato; afternoon coffee at Double Great Coffee; and a post-dinner whiskey @ Independence Ice. Only downside on my visit was the upstairs neighbor. Dude clearly isn't a principal dancer in the Portland Ballet, as light on his feet wouldn't describe him. Not a stereo or TV issue - you can just hear the noise from him walking (8AM-10PM when there)

This was a perfect location for enjoying being in the heart of Old Orchard Beach. You get live music down stairs, a few steps away from the beach, quick walk to downtown/pier. Totally worth it! The condo is beautiful and comfortable.

Great stay

Toddy Haven is just that, a haven from the hustle and bustle of typical touristy locations. It really gives you the idea of what it would be like to live on a lake in Maine during the summer! The dock and the kayaks/canoe dedicated to our place were wonderful and the fire pit areas are amazing too! The host Mark has thought of everything for inside the place but I bet you haven't seen a full size pool table provided before?! As a SuperHost myself, I would rate this as one of the top 5 places I have ever stayed during my travels! Hope to return in the future!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Greg’s place in Old Orchard Beach. It was easy to get in and Greg provided the codes to the doors as well as explained where to park. The condo was spacious and very clean, one of the cleanest Air BnBs I’ve stayed at. I typically clean on arrivals but didn’t need to this time. We had the sliders open the majority of our time and enjoyed looking at and hearing the ocean all the time. The one very warm day we had, the AC worked great. The bed was super comfortable, for once I didn’t long for my own bed at home as this one was almost as good. The location was great and it was easy to walk to everything. The music playing at the Brunswick was great entertainment at night. We enjoyed hanging out in the living room or on the balcony listening. It did go until late but it didn’t bother us. We would definitely stay at Greg’s condo again and plan to book our next trip soon. It’s been one of our favorite vacations we’ve had in a while.

What a beautiful location and house. There’s nothing better than sitting in the living room or front porch and being able to see the Belfast Bay. The house is very clean and neat. Beds are comfortable, shower is very hot. Don’t miss the sunrise in the mornings. Overall this is one of our favorite places we have stayed in Belfast.

You cannot beat the location with this rental. We love coming to Willard Beach with our pup, and when our old go-to BNB stopped renting we were so worried we wouldn’t find another. But this condo worked out so perfectly in terms of location (across the road from both Scratch Bakery and Willard Scoops, comfortable walk to the beach with several entrance options) and the actual comfort of the condo itself. The proximity to the beach was really a plus for us, as we didn’t have to get up as early to make the dog friendly beach hours! Host is responsive, and any household items (eg. soap, coffee filters) that were missing from the condo we could easily run down to get from Hannaford. The downsides: It is on a second floor walk up, which may be challenging for those with mobility issues. Hand railing is odd too. Bit pricey, couldn’t swing a full week this time around as the price shot up dramatically when I added Friday to the duration. But overall, really lovely!

All of Maine feels 'rustic' to me. This was a great Airbnb with that in mind and fantastic value for the area. It's a very short walk to the beach and right next to a great BBQ restaurant which serves local beer and even gluten-free pizzas! The roof deck was glorious. The TV is 'megalithic'. I cannot believe the bath isn't mentioned in the listing! It's deep. I brought bath salts and enjoyed many hours in the tub. Perfect! This was truly a home away from home with everything I could possibly need. Some of the windows don't quite seal so there is road noise in the bedrooms. It feels like the ground underneath the building has shifted over the decades so I'm sure straight lines for windows are impossible to sustain. It's a quiet road at night. One bed is firm, the other is soft. The hosts are very responsive.
