Family-friendly holiday rentals in Dorset

We had a wonderful & relaxing weekend here with a large group for my sister's lowkey bachelorette party. Even with a day of non-stop pouring rain, we were perfectly content with staying in and enjoying the coziness of the house. We had a blast watching the chickens roam around and hanging out with the overly-friendly barn cats while we sat outside. The goats & pigs were happy to greet us at the fence every time. The hot tub and pool were perfect! Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a beautifully scenic and peaceful getaway. Thanks, Sarah & BBVF team!

Great location! This was a two family trip up to Mt Snow. We had a wide range of ages and 2 dogs. The house had plenty of toys and things for the kids to do - their favorite was the scavenger hunt! The kitchen is one of the best stocked kitchens compared to other Airbnbs we have used. The beds were comfortable - plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The couch and chairs in the living area were also very comfortable. The hot tub was very nice and enjoyable after everyone went skiing.

We had a wonderful stay! It's such a beautiful and unusual cabin. It would be great for two couples as there are 2 equally great bedrooms that are quite separate, and a very nice sitting area around the amazing wood stove. (Which we didn't use because it's June and not necessary.) The hot tub was such a treat, and the bedroom with the boat was so cool. (OK, so maybe the bedrooms aren't quite equally great.) The kitchen is outstanding! We sat out on the porch a lot looking over the meadow, and I really liked that we were able to bring our dog. About the notes and instructions: they didn't bother us at all. There's a few non-intuitive features of the cabin, and it was useful to have clear guidance on those things. I want to make clear why I gave 4 stars for "cleanliness". I think they do an excellent job cleaning this cabin! But a rustic cabin like this is impossible to make "5-star clean". If you want or need that level of cleanliness, then "rustic" isn't for you! Go find a nice hotel.

We could not have found a better home for our Killington ski week. The ski in ski out directions were perfect and so easy. The home comfortably accommodated 8 adults and provided privacy for each of us as well. Fabulous dining area for our family that provided many happy memories. We've never rented a home where every single bed was so luxurious either. Each night we slept so soundly. On days we did not ski there was plenty to do at the house, a beautiful neighborhood to walk in and such close proximity to Killington Rd with so many dining options.

Had an awesome weekend here with the family! The cabin had everything we needed, super comfy and well-stocked. The hot tub was a huge bonus, and the hosts were super friendly. Would definitely come back!

My family and I had a wonderful time! Larry is very sweet, gave us a tour, offered to help with docking our boat and even offered my husband the tools to fix the bunk on our trailer. The house is big and beautiful!! Very clean, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need!! The hot tub is definitely a bonus as we used it everyday!! The dock was perfect, we had room for our pontoon boat and jet skis. All around the perfect place for some R&R!!! My family and I love Cossayuna Lake as we are semi local and it was our first experience with an Airbnb. Thank you Larry for sharing your home!! Highly recommend this for your next vacation!!

My wife and I have visited twice already and hope to go back again soon. We met the owner and her wonderful fiancé while we were visiting. Wonderful people. Very private and beautiful location. Really lovely Airbnb in a beautiful location! I came with my dogs and they were right at home. This spot was truly a dog friendly location. They even provided dog bowls and beds! There was also a ton of room to run and play with them. You really can’t beat the location and view if you want to get away. I love that there are chairs both on the patio and in the lawn to enjoy the view. My husband and I were looking for a place to truly check out and get away from work and this was the perfect spot for that. The bed and couches were really comfy, the kitchen had all the basics and I love that there was a fireplace option, even if we didn’t need it. It rained a ton while we were there and the yard gets pretty soggy, so if you’re planning for outdoor playtime on a rainy day, bring your rainboots! 10/10 stay and we’re already talking about booking another weekend there.

Our stay was incredible! The view by the stream was amazing, everything was so peaceful and perfect. Inside the cabin was exactly what we expected, very homey, everything we needed. We loved the walls lined with books! Kevin was very attentive towards what we needed - it stormed all day Saturday and he brought a second heater for us because the temperature dropped, which with that and the gas fireplace, kept the place perfectly warm and comfortable. He was also very accommodating in allowing us to stay an extra night since our plans of hiking all weekend were thwarted by the rain. We went for my husband's 40th birthday and i couldn't have picked a better place to get away from the stress of life. We plan on going back for sure!

Great spot right next to Okemo! The cabin was better than the photos, felt really homey and clean.

Mary was a super good hostess and she even left us a welcome basket full of goodies including Bogle red wine (cabernet), coffee, and other treats plus homebred brownies in the fridge! We loved the chalet and the beauty of it inside and out with the greenery of the forest and the brook which our dog, Beau, got right into it and loved it! We all enjoyed the area and the cozy home with the room to spread out and hear the rain as we were snug inside. The bed we chose to sleep in was comfy and warm and I (Carolyn) loved having coffee on the deck of a morning with Beau. We enjoyed our long walks down the road and the town of Dover was fun to visit as well as the beautiful wedding we attended over Wilmington not far away. It was a wonderful stay and we certainly love Vermont! This was our 4th stay in Vermont between the years of 2004 - now. Our first "Dog Vacation" took us to Brattleboro, Middlebury, Willoughvale with Lake Willoughby, and last summer to White River Junction and Barre. Fun!

Perfect location for everything to do around Saratoga Springs, and very peaceful....we would stay forever if we could!

Susan and Carmen's place was just as advertised. We really appreciated their flexibility on check-in and it was nice meeting Carmen to show us around. The space is very cozy and comfortable. The cabin is well equiped with all the items you need for a stay, as well as some toys that my young daughter enjoyed playing with. There was a sulfur smell with the hot water, but I know Carmen is working to resolve that and we were told the water is safe to drink. Beautiful views and close to Magic MTN and Ludlow. I'd love to stay there again.

Great location, easy to find and access. Plenty of space. Clean, great yard, fire pit was wonderful and easy access to town.

Had a great time! Within 4 minutes of a stellar breakfast at Trail 87 and within 5 min of mount snow base.

This space was perfect for our family. With walking distance to the entrance of the slopes, this location was ideal for our ski getaway. I appreciated the small touches that made this experience feel luxurious, the provided coffee, wine, wood for the usable fire place. The beds were comfortable and the space was spacious. We would definitely visit Jim’s place again!

The unit is very comfortable for a family and very convenient to Mount Snow. Updated bathrooms and washer/dryer. Great clubhouse and pool facilities at Seasons condo. Andrew was a pleasure to work with.

Dray was thorough and the airbnb was clean, comfortable, and close to everything! I hope to stay here next time I visit!

Excellent apartment in a resort hotel. Well staffed and the property is kept in excellent condition. Highly recommend this host.

Amazing view and cozy vibes. Hot tub and a pool are fun amenities to have. Building has freshly renovated pool and tubs. If you like it there are also sauna pods. So do not forget your swimsuit. It was clean and if you cook there is a kitchen. On top of that it was great to have a balcony with a view. May is a nice time to come even if you are not skiing because it’s not crowded and nature is stunning. And there are plenty of spots for mountain bike. Scott is a great host and local recommendations are helpful and honest. Visit liquid art, if you want a good cup of coffee that’s the right place. Great place!

The place was great, clean, nice bathrooms. The oven seemed like it wouldn't go up to temperature at one point so I messaged the host and they responded right away to get the maintenance folks over. But it turned out that it was just set to Celsius and I was able to look up how to change it online (Hold down the broil button!). There were PLENTY of towels/linens which was nice.
