Spacious unit right on the beach. Great view from dining area while enjoying morning coffee. Direct access to beach or boardwalk for walks with the dog. Easy access to all activities in Monterey county. This could become an annual retreat goal.

Sean's cottage is an absolute delight, we moved in as though it was our own home. Worth reading previous reviews mentioning building works next door. As we were prepared for this (they started 8am promptly Mon-Fri), also ants (which didn't show up) and the racoon in the bins (which did show up) none of this was an issue, and was reflected in the reduced rental. Sean was an excellent host, replied speedily to any queries, including calling a plumber for a minor problem. The cottage is the most homely of places, there's everything you could need, the kitchen is generously equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The pretty patio is full of flowers and birds. Since it was April, we were not outside in the evenings, but it seems noise is an issue with neighbours. There are polite but firm notices requesting no outside noise after 9pm which could be difficult on hot summer evenings. This was one of our favourite Airbnbs, the location is fabulous, so much to do, we were busy all the time

The views from the cottage were gorgeous and our favorite part was lounging on the deck! We didn’t want to leave, the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. Convenient location as well!

Liz’s rental exceeded expectations. It felt very cozy, providing that beach home feeling. The beach was a quick stroll away, and it is dog friendly! My pup and I very much enjoyed our time at Liz’s spot. Thank you for relaxing vacation Liz!

Beautiful place. The home fit all of our needs and was in the perfect location. Unfortunate we were told last minute about the construction to the rock wall on the ocean side, so we were not able to experience a true “beach front” vacation. Construction started right at 6:30am. The host was however very accommodating and did offer a last minute cancellation or 25% off our stay. We chose the 25% discount due to it being our spring break and did not want to cancel on our kids. I’m sure as soon as the construction is done it’ll be a perfect spot again. Would love to go back!

Laura’s place was spot on for our short stay. Beach was a stones throw away, which is where the kids wanted to spend their time. The place was perfect, it was clean, spacious, and well equipped. Detailed instructions for the apartment to go alongside the stay and useful local information.

We loved our stay at the Brown Barn! You can tell the care the owner, Rich, puts into the place. Our family loved the pool and foosball tables so much that we didn’t even turn on the TV’s. Beds are very comfy allowing us to sleep great, and the bathroom has a heated floor which was a nice plus. The location is outstanding and we would definitely love to stay here again!

Our stay started off a bit rocky due to a little mix up, but I have to say, the host went above and beyond to make things right. Kristina was incredibly responsive and proactive, ensuring that the issue was resolved quickly and that we were comfortable and happy for the rest of our stay. The property itself is beautiful with an amazing ocean view and access to the pool/hot tub that is very close. I really appreciate how the hosts had all the extras added to the condo such as chairs, air mattress, pack and play and cooking spices ext. It's clear they genuinely care about their guests' experience. If you’re looking for a place where the host truly listens and takes action, this is it. I can't wait to stay here again!

This neighborhood is safe and peaceful. We have stayed at The Dunes numerous times over the last 4 years. Lisa’s home is beautiful and inviting. We all felt very comfortable and relaxed. It is such a gorgeous area and the staff at the front gate is always so helpful too. I had to reach out to Lisa multiple times throughout our stay and each time her responses were quick and respectful. It was a delight to chat with her and we are definitely planning to come back and would rent this home again.

We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. Everything was just as described, and we would stay here again! Thank you, Sue!

Fantastic location and home for a family get-away. Much to see and do on site and in the local area. The home is very comfortable and welcoming with all the amenities you might need and more. Can’t wait to book again!

We had a lovely weekend with our family celebrating a birthday. The place was perfect for hosting 6 of us, walking to the beach and then driving up to Capitola and other towns very close by for celebration dinners. We enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend others to consider for a beach getaway.

I stayed here with a few of my bridesmaids while looking for a wholesome weekend getaway near Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea, and this place absolutely exceeded our expectations. The home is nestled in a beautiful, private community that felt safe, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing—perfect for unwinding and bonding before the big day. The views from the property were absolutely stunning. Whether we were sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening, the scenery was breathtaking and added such a magical touch to our stay. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, which made everything so smooth and stress-free. We also loved how easy it was to get around. Whether we were exploring charming shops and restaurants in Carmel-by-the-Sea or spending time along the coast in Monterey, everything was conveniently close and accessible. This spot was ideal for creating special memories, and I would absolutely recommend it.

Staying at Seascape was the perfect kid-friendly vacation. The pool was easy to access from our condo and the views were beautiful. The condo's set-up with two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs was great for our family of 5. The private beach was beautiful - we saw otters, whales, and my son found two perfect sand dollars walking down the beach. It was a little bit of a trek to get down to the beach with three little kids and all the beach gear, but once we were there no one wanted to leave. Several near-by restaurants were delicious, especially the newly opened Dos Pescados. It was fairly easy to get into Santa Cruz too, but we did have to time traffic or it would double the drive time (to almost 45 minutes).

This location is ideal for those who like easy access to hiking, walking, beach, pools etc. Also a short drive to Capitola, and Santa Cruz to the North. Views from the balcony are way better than the pictures. Stay here, you will not be disappointed.

I don’t have much experience with Airbnb, but this has been by far the most satisfying stay I’ve had. The surroundings are beautiful and perfect for peaceful walks, and you can even watch the sunset right from the house. Restaurants and supermarkets are nearby, and there’s plenty of parking available. Inside, everything was spotless and fully equipped — the kitchenware and amenities were complete, and check-in was incredibly smooth. I especially loved Joanne’s interior design; it felt cozy and homey, exactly like the photos. Joanne was very responsive and thoughtful throughout the stay, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I truly had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again if I’m ever visiting the area.

Loved our stay and the proximity to the beach was the best. 5 min walk and beach was great. House was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was great to cook in and bbq too. Highly recommend. Loved our time in Monterey exploring Pacific Grove and Carmel and pebble beach.

Great place and great location! The place was exactly as described and pictured. We arrived on Friday night, parked our car and didn’t move it all weekend! It was perfect. Thank you for a great weekend!

What a lovely stay. My family really enjoyed it which means I enjoyed it. If you have a complaint it’s almost like there’s too many things. The place is STOCKED and feels lived in. The house has everything you need - (everything from wet suits, to an Nespresso machine, sunscreen, cleaning products, a truly stocked kitchen) Only 2 tiny issues. There seemed to be some pet dander from dogs (family member is allergic) and tiny issue we had was with the old cooktop, so hopefully they get an induction or glass top stove at some point. Electric grill Based cooktops are a huge pain in the butt - but we love to cook- and may not be a big deal if u dont. This price for beach front property is hard to beat. The backyard is fairly private and is relaxing. All in all a GREAT stay!! The area is patrolled by local police at night- felt safe, home well stocked & bit cluttered, the neighbors are quiet, in construction and/or empty, good responsive host and the view is FANTASTIC 😍🌊

We’ve stayed at Pajaro Dunes before, but it’s been decades ago. Marc’s place was perfectly situated for privacy and views and was very clean and well appointed. The peacefulness and serenity were exactly what we were looking for. The beachy feel of the furnishings was charming and the unit included all that we needed including an upgraded and well furnished kitchen, a gas fireplace, a comfortable, king size bed and other essentials like extra blankets and a Kuerig coffee maker. Our only difficulty was when inadvertently trying to use the TV remote to change channels…Don’t Do That, Use the cable remote like it says in the instructions. Spent a thoroughly enjoyable four days here with side trips to Monterey and Carmel. Perfect home base for dining out and exploring the coast, and an excellent, proactive host.

David was a fabulous host!!! He was kind, accommodating, and quick to respond! The villa was a perfect location and the view was beautiful! The location is central to the pool & spa and restaurant. The villa was top notch, with several additional high quality touches which made the stay even more enjoyable. From the YETI mugs and YETI ice box, to the JBL speaker and coffee station. The bedding and decor was gorgeous and the vibe of the villa is coastal chic and peaceful! The guest book at the villa is so unique too! I 100% recommend this villa and David! Jennifer’s Capitola Breeze (Unit B) is perfect for family gatherings and vacations. Absolutely convenient location for walking downtown, shopping, restaurants and beach access. Convenient garage parking. Condo includes amenities in every room. Jennifer (Host) provided detailed instructions and information that made us feel at home. She was responsive to any questions we had throughout our stay. Definitely a gem of a place to stay!!
