The property was beautiful and perfect for a get away trip

Stayed at Tannery Lane Cottage with my 2 teenage children and mother across the King's birthday weekend 2025. Liz graciously allowed an earlier check in for us and had turned on the heater for our arrival. The cottage was lovely and warm when we stepped inside. The gorgeous space was spotlessly clean and tidy and felt like 'home away from home' for the four of us. The linen, towels and bathroom products were all of excellent quality - the pump hand soap in particular smelled fantastic! Liz provided a welcome booklet that contained a brief history of the cottage and lots of information about Yackandandah including eateries and walking tracks. The weather was cold, rainy and wet so we spent a good deal of time enjoying the beautiful scenery from inside the cosy cottage on the comfy couches, snuggled and warm. The four of us loved our stay at the Cottage. I would love to stay again when I return to this area of northeastern Victoria. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this air b n b.

Tanglewood was the most beautiful, cosy, tranquil cottage to rest and refocus on life. Such lovely surroundings and peace that you just can't get in the big city! From the moment we arrived we were treated like queens , walking into a beautifully warm and cozy cottage with fresh baked bread, home made chutney, jams and marmalade, eggs and bacon . Margie and Graham were so friendly ,welcoming and helpful. Thank you for this 🙏 We highly recommend Tanglewood, but be warned, you won't want to leave !! Linda and Dorothy

We (family of 4, kids 9 & 11) needed a break from busy life, and Doug’s country house was perfect. Peaceful, with stunning views of mountains, valleys, cows, and sheep. It’s secluded, so no need for curtains—just expect the occasional cow or kookaburra call. The 3-bedroom home is cozy, with a fireplace (wood & matches provided), a well-equipped kitchen (essentials included), and a thoughtful welcome of eggs, milk, bread & butter—especially helpful as shops were closed for Easter. There were books and games (we enjoyed a game of quoits in the hallway). There are 2 washing machines, soap, and clothes racks. Bedrooms have heaters, though we didn’t need them. Highly recommend Dederang Pub for woodfired pizza, beer, and friendly locals. Great day trips: Mt Beauty (Gorge Walk—bring waterproof shoes and swimmers, if you are brave), Beechworth (Burke Museum, Woolshed Falls, Beechworth Berries for sweetest strawberries), Yackandandah (Star Hotel, Grace’s Place Thai) and of course Bright.
