Acorn Loft was such a pleasant place to say . The layout and decor is very clean , calm and fresh looking, perfectly designed and presented loft conversion . We have lived in France for a number of years and it very much reminded us of our own home there . The whole of the surrounding area is so beautiful. We have had a lovely break and couldn’t recommend it more . Thank you Laura ☺️

We've had a lovely week at Mary's Cottage. It is equipped with everything you would need, so cosy, comfortable and dog friendly. It is a perfect base for exploring all around Northumbria such as Alnwick, Alnmouth, Lindisfarne and Bamburgh.There was lots of information leaflets and maps about the area as well.There are local places to go to like Etal, Ford and Heatherslaw Estate and Hirsel Estate (all within 10 minutes drive).There is a local walk called Flodden Fields with great views all around (5 minutes walk away).We would highly recommend this cottage to our family and friends.

I stayed at the Lodge with my adult daughter for four days. We wanted a base close to the Cheviots to spend a few days exploring and walking in one of the few hilly areas of the UK we did not know. And that's precisely what the Lodge gave us: easy access to the hills from the west (via Town Yetholm), east (via Wooler) or north (via Hethpool). We ate in every evening: meals were easy to prepare in the well appointed kitchen, and it being June we were able to eat at the table outside until quite late, enjoying the absolutely glorious view of the hills nearby and on the opposite side of the valley. Although the Lodge is situated right beside a road T-junction, the traffic was so light we were hardly aware of it. Cattle lowing in the distance and a pack of hounds being exercised in the morning are the sounds we will remember most. To conclude: clean, quiet, well equipped and, for us, wonderfully situated. I could not recommend the Lodge too highly to a small party wanting a restful break.

The most beautiful place I’ve stayed in! So worth the price and couldn’t recommend more! Will definitely be back
