Villa holiday rentals in Crete

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

Our stay at the villa was nothing short of incredible. The location was peaceful and serene—away from the busier tourist areas, it truly felt like our own private resort. The views were absolutely stunning, and every moment there felt like a dream. The house itself was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, and the heated pool was a highlight—especially during the cooler evenings. It made it easy to enjoy every part of our stay, no matter the weather. George, our host, was fantastic. He was always just a message away, ready with helpful suggestions and warm hospitality. His attention to detail and genuine care made our stay even more special. We’re already dreaming about our return. Highly recommend!

Totally gorgeous villa, well equipped and in a great location with the most amazing views across to Spinalonga. Best seen from the terrace and pool, although every room has a sea view. Slightly out of the village so really need a car but that wasn’t a problem and we enjoyed popping into Plaka to sample the local restaurant every evening. George was a fantastic host. Lots of lovely touches including homemade delicacies waiting on our arrival and great recommendations, even making our reservation at local restaurant in village in the mountains. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We really couldn’t fault anything about our stay and would highly recommend. Can’t wait to return.

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

The house and the view is amazing. This is a very good place to stay and really recommend this place for a short stay in between Chania and Heraklion. You need a car or a motorbike to go around but besides that a very good place

We were at the Villa Riviera for the third time and are always enraptured anew. I can't put it into words, you have to experience it yourself. This place is enchanting. Nasos, Chara and Babis are open, warm…. Greeks just... whether you can speak the language, a little English doesn't matter, you understand each other on a heart level. For us, it's a paradise. We wish Nasos, Chara and Babis all the best. And... we'll be back. Antje and Axel

Great place! Beautiful view. Wonderful outdoor area with pool. Paying extra for pool heating was worse it. Sea shore across the street from the villa but might need to walk couple of minutes to sand beach with umbrellas. Grill was available per request. Some restaurants are within walking distance, but I would recommend renting a car. Hosts are very responsive.

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. An amazing place, beautiful interior and a superb outside space. Definitely lived up to expectations.

Beatiful view and nice downstairs appartment with own pool and yard. Parking lot had always room for our car. From parking lot there are deep stairs down to the appartments yard. We came late in evening and it was little bit difficult to get in without light on the appartment door. Pool was great for swimming and view fo Chania and sea bay just amazing. If you have lot of electronic devices with you, take a power strip with you. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet during our stay in April. Really nice place to relax and enjoy life.

Beautiful place, great for families. Lots of toys and even a potty for the kids! Cleaner came mid week which was not necessary but so great. Beach is a 3 min walk. Really need a car to get there which was fine for us! Thanks for everything.

We had an incredible holiday in Plaka. The villa is tastefully decorated and equipped for a relaxing holiday, but the best part was the views and the attention we received from Tina, Aspa, and Angelis, who were always friendly and willing to help us enjoy our stay.

The villa was fabulous with amazing sea and mountain views and so much more space (bigger than we expected). Very quiet which was what we wanted and so you need a car. Lovely beaches and tavernas not too far away. Host and house keeper were very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful villa inside and out - loved every minute of our stay there. It's an excellent location for lovely village of Mochlos and there's a bay where you can swim to left of harbour. Marilou was always on hand with any recommendations etc we needed. Only negative is we didn't realise that the bedroom with its own entrance is actually in a basement so very little natural light. Didn't bother us but does mean you don't see the beautiful views. Can imagine it keeps cooler in peak summer though.

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

The Airbnb was fantastic, very modern and spacious with an amazing view. The host was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and also during our stay. One of the best Villa’s I have ever stayed in, the pictures do not do it justice. Highly recommend choosing this for your stay in Greece. Only bad thing is that we had to leave to come back home!

We had a fantastic time. The villa is stunning and had just been freshly renovated. Everything about it is designed to maximize the beautiful views, the airflow, peace and tranquility. The hosts were communicative, kind and generous with flexible check-in and out. The fantastic pool area, stonework, bathrooms, kitchen, linens, sauna/steamroom, washer & dryer, game room -- all were top quality. This was easily the most beautiful AirBnb we have ever stayed in. It was a good home base for exploring Crete. We were also happy to save one day for relaxing at the villa. We were only a family of four, and the villa could have easily held twice as many. Would love to return one day. Made wonderful memories here.

Our stay at HotelPraxis was incredible and Polimnia was the most gracious host I have experienced in my 10 years in Airbnb. She was close by but never intrusive, left snacks, fruits and water in the fridge, dropped eggs off, recommended restaurants and incredibly, made baked goods of some traditional Greek treats that were so delicious. My family was overwhelmed by the beauty and privacy of the Blue Lake Villa. And the home is lovely, fluffy towels, great water pressure, comfortable beds. What a treat! We will definitely return! I highly recommend.

We had an excellent stay at Villa Logari. Beautiful home that looked just like the photos. Host was extremely responsive and hospitality was top notch… the daily breakfast basket is an amazing touch. The villa is in Xirosterni which is a bit off the beaten path but is charming and we were able to explore the local area as well as travel to both Chania and Rethymno which are each around 45 minutes away. Would definitely return!

We’ve never experienced an Airbnb like this – in terms of both the villa and the hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Eftychis and his wonderful mother – you made our stay unforgetable! We were seven people, including three children (one toddler), and everything was just perfect. The villa is spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely well-equipped – the kitchen had top-tier appliances, and the baby gear was modern, clean, and like new. The house is set in a peaceful location with a breathtaking sea view. When we arrived, a delicious homemade Greek salad and cookies were waiting for us – such a warm welcome! Eftychis was available via chat the whole time: kind, helpful, and always with great local recommendations. This place truly combines beauty, comfort, and care. We’d come back without hesitation. Where do I begin… my family and I were dreading check out. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The accommodations were phenomenal, everyone felt at home. We woke up to a beautiful sea view every morning and perfect weather. The stay was truly top of the line. Everything we needed was provided and Nikos made us feel very welcome. We cannot wait to return.

Our stay at the Moundros luxury villa was a perfect place for the five of us girls to feel like we are at a private retreat. It was easy to get around with a car and the hosts were very helpful when it came to any recommendations. the home was super nice and clean and had the best views. the restaurant down the street is absolutely delicious. Meatballs and stuffed mushrooms were my favorite but you can’t go wrong with anything! We were able to easily explore the other parts of Crete and got the best of the mountain side and the city side. would highly recommend staying in this villa!
