Monthly Rentals in Cottage Township

We were very comfortable in the Paddock. It is a lovely, clean, spacious home with literally everything you need to relax and feel like “home away from home.” We enjoyed sitting on the lovely front porch at night, and absolutely love the sunny bright dining room off the kitchen where we ate our meals. We found the home cozy, and peaceful. Thank you so much for your hospitality! We will be back!

As others have said, the address is technically incorrect; however, the place is relatively easy to find if youre paying attention. The cabin was clean and pleasant and is well stocked with most things you could need. The wasps were pretty bad on the porch (we couldn't sit out there much), but they provided wasp spray and we understood that we were in the woods after all. We really enjoyed the isolated and quiet area and would stay at the cabin again. We didnt have cell service most of the time and the satellite TV didn't work for us, so be prepared to disconnect (as they state in the listing). I don't think this is a stay for everyone, but if you are outdoorsy and don't have any mobility issues (the loft is tricky) this is the place for you!

Katie was proactive from the start and provided a ton of information that allowed for seamless check-in and check-out. The space was exactly what we expected from the listing: private, peaceful, and comfortable. That said, Katie went above and beyond to make us road-weary travelers more at home without the need to run out for every little thing. I hope to be back in the area again some day and will be keeping an eye out for availability at this same great accommodation.

Alice's airbnb was very private and peaceful. I enjoyed seeing her animals, especially our sweet visit at the door by one of the roosters. The space was just big enough for my husband and I with our dog Toby. The place was very clean and the bed so comfortable. She's in a great location for you to see what all the Shawnee National Forest has to offer and so much more homey than a cabin. Some of my favorite areas to visit were the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, Burden Falls, Iron Furnace, Dixon Springs, Chocolate Factory, and Garden of the Gods Outpost store had anything you could want. These are just a fraction of what there is to see in the area. We were able to see a lot. Brochures available were helpful. Favorite restaurant there is Shotgun Eddys. Great tasting food and big portions. The breakfast is the best as well as the fried fish. They have a bloody mary that's a meal in itself. I had the pleasure of meeting Alice and hope I get the chance to stay at her place again.
