Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Chittenden County

We were only a short guest at Abigail's, but we enjoyed it very much. The apartment had everything you need, was very spacious and clean. Communication with Abigail worked very well. We would come back in a heartbeat.

This house was perfect as a landing spot for a graduation weekend. My wife and I stayed here with one daughter, while other members of our family who had not planned so far ahead stayed further away. Everyone used this house as a meeting spot before each day's activities. It has a very well-equipped kitchen, which allowed me to prepare robust breakfasts as if I was at home, and there was enough room in the open-floorplan living and dining area to allow a party of seven to enjoy eating and chatting together as we planned the rest of our day. It's an easy walk to some great trails along the river and plenty of good places to eat. The driveway had enough room for three vehicles to park when we were having our morning get-togethers. If there is a complaint, it's the aircraft that are taking off during the mornings at the nearby airport, but that's obviously no fault of the owners. This was a real AirBnB win for our family, and it made my daughter's graduation a great time for all!

Great location and very clean home. Lots of space, it was bigger than I anticipated from the photos. Anne was always around if we needed anything, she lives across the street. The home is well stocked with everything we could need. One thing to mention is the home was in a dead-zone and I couldn’t make any phone calls, there is good WiFi though. So this may only be a problem if your phone doesn’t allow WiFi calling. Overall, I would stay again.

We loved our stay. It was beautiful and we loved being right by the lake as well as the sauna, fire pit, and outdoor seating. The house was cozy and the little kids toy closet was such a cute touch. We had an amazing time on our family vacation and would definitely recommend this rental. Ash was also so communicative and ready to help if we ever needed anything. So thankful!

Wei has a wonderful property with comfortable foam mattresses, and many bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. We forgot an item at Weis rental, and they went out of their way to send it back to us. Thank you Wei for a wonderful place to stay.

This is a very Nice Airbnb with a few very modern features. It is a large home on a quiet street, which is very safe. It is clean well appointed comfortable beds and satisfactory hot water. There are approximately 10 steps to get to the living area level.

Kim was a great host, very responsive and helpful while knowing when we needed our space/privacy. Even though there were others in the house during our stay, we never saw them. The space was a great value and close to Bolton and Stowe, and also UVM for a college visit. The pellet stove kept us warm while we hunkered down during the snowstorm day. Note that the house is at the end of a long, windy drive that can get icy in spots, so if snow is expected during your stay, you'll need AWD. No joke. The only things I might wish were different would be for there to be a microwave available in the rented space (there's one available in the kitchen but a separate one for renters would have been a nice convenience), for there to be an actual door to the climbing-wall bedroom instead of a curtain, and for the main bedroom mattress to be softer (it was quite firm).

Meghan was a great host! Responded quickly to any questions we had and made sure our stay was comfortable.

Staying at Gail's place was a treat. I came durring the off-season which was quiet and peaceful. Most of the resort area is closed outside winter and summer but there is a small market open during the day for convieniences. It's also a short drive away from many small towns. Standouts were Stowe and Waterbury which were wonderful to visit. There are so many trails to checkout in the area. Hiking up the mountain just outside the apartment is great and has an amazing view at sunset. Camels hump and various trails in the notch were awesome. It was even close enough where I took a day trip into the White Mountains. I stayed for 27 days. Durring the week I work remotely. The internet was enough for large conference calls with video during the day and I had no issues. In the evening there is a noticible slowdown. The Wifi is shared throughout the resort. The kitchen was easy to work with. And when you open the balcony door there is a small stream that offers fantastic white noise.

Rachel’s place was amazing! It was a cozy nook above the garage, with a well stocked kitchen and all of the amenities we needed. The area was gorgeous - we would definitely come back again!

We have visited Burlington and stayed in various Airbnb's several times since our daughter started at UVM 3 years ago. I did not have the pleasure to stay at Chris and Kara's but this was my husbands absolute favorite place!

Had a great stay—exactly what I was looking for. The place was extremely quiet, very clean, and easy to access. It felt cozy and calming from the moment I arrived. The bed was super comfortable—probably one of the best I’ve slept on. Overall, a peaceful and comfortable experience. Would definitely stay again.

Jackie and Boris were great hosts. Their home had everything we needed and more for our stay. We came up for a concert with our girls and the location was perfect!! We will absolutely stay again next time we are in the area.

My daughter and I had such a nice stay here! The room was beautiful, a d pieceful. It was very close to the Shelburn museum. The trail right behind the house was delightful, we had a nice morning walk. We would love to visit here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Pete and Amanda’s. The house was as pictured/ described, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed- plus a great collection of CD’s. Driving directions are clear and Pete was very accommodating with our late check-in. The house is peaceful and tucked away, and we received great recommendations from our hosts on things to do.

Loree was really great and responsive! She seems to really care! If we had one negative about the place it’s that you can hear the neighbors pretty well. Particularly when they leave their unit early in the AM. Otherwise, four of us spent a week there quite comfortably.

Melinda is a fantastic host. My family has stayed with her many times. Her place is is perfect for a family weekend on the mountain.

Really enjoyed our stay here! The apartment has beautiful views of Bolton and was clean and well-supplied. The host was extremely responsive and helpful when we had questions. Unfortunately when we entered, the sofa pillows and kitchen did smell like wet dog but it resolved after leaving some windows open. Additionally, just wanted to mention that the road leading up to the unit had many potholes so just something to be aware of especially if there is bad weather but wasn’t a huge deal for us! Overall, loved our stay and would love to come back here again!

This little ski condo was perfect for a long weekend up at Bolton Valley! You’re right on the slopes, just down the hall from the Tavern, right above the mountain market, and the place has everything you need. Will be back!

We were due to arrive on the day there was an unexpected snowstorm. Dan and Emily were super responsive and offered a generous and very helpful solution with planning travel and our stay. The space is great, lots of character went into the build and new, clean furnishings were a nice touch- especially in a pet friendly setting. Plenty of hot water, heat. Ideal for singles or couples who are looking to explore all that the area has to offer- centrally located and a quick, easy entry/ exit. All that is needed is there and none of what isn’t- efficient use of space. Very welcoming hosts, would stay here again next time we visit!

We noticed this listing at first mostly due to its location. The condo is close to multiple Mad River Valley ski locations and it is near friends of ours that live locally in Vermont. Once we got there however, we realized that the condo is perfect for our family of four. The place was super clean and comfortable and gave us a nice place to eat/sleep before heading out for the day. The hosts were super responsive and proactive communicating rules and instructions for use of the place. Would highly recommend and would certainly consider staying again.

My husband and I loved our stay at the slopeside condo. The chair lift is right next to the condo for easy ski access (AMAZING skiing btw). Inside, the condo is so clean and cozy. Emily (the co-host) was very nice and responsive with great local restaurant recommendations. We're already thinking of coming back next year!
