Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Chittenden County

We stayed here while in town for the VT City Marathon, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient—close to downtown, amenities, and perfectly situated for easy access to the race. Our group found the setup ideal for meeting up before the big event, and the nearby playground was a hit with the kids. The house itself was quiet, clean, and comfortable, making for a great stay. Would highly recommend!

Mark’s place is immaculate and very cozy. The woodwork is beautiful and there are many interesting and charming touches throughout. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. I noticed comments about the outside stairs in other reviews. We had no problem navigating the stairs and they are actually easier than they look. Mark was very gracious and flexible with checking in and out and being accessible. Overall it was a great experience.

Thank you, Palmer for an enjoyable stay at your beautiful lake house. We came up for a college tour of UVM and the location was perfect. It took us only 20 minutes to get there and then at the end of our day we came back to relax and unwind at your comfy and spotless home. Every room was beautifully furnished , comfortable and really just felt homey. The kids enjoyed hanging out downstairs watching movies while the adults enjoyed cocktails and talking all while taking in the amazing view of the lake. We had a wonderful time and would certainly return. Only two minor issues, one of which just might have been our own unfamiliarity with the home. The living room gets really warm and even though we turned down the thermostat, it kept creeping up. But it could have even been the fact that it was so sunny one of the days we were there. A minor issue. Outside, the railing to get down from the deck to the yard is a bit wobbly in places and may be due to be replaced soon. Also, no big deal.

We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful home and would love to come back! It was spacious and had everything we needed for six adults and one baby. The scenery was stunning, and Maggie was very helpful and responsive. Amazing shower in the downstairs bathroom too!

Tricia’s place was wonderful and cozy, clutter free but had everything you could need. The beds were very comfortable and the bath towels were hotel quality. Tricia was very pleasant and offered good suggestions for nearby places to go. We enjoyed the fireplace and comfortable furniture. The lake park was about a mile away and gave us a nice bit of exercise walking back and forth. If we go back to Burlington, we’d definitely want to stay here again.

Place was as advertised. Beautiful, great location, great views, close to convenient grocery shopping and slopes. We'd love to come back some day.

We loved this ground floor apartment — perfect for a few days exploring Burlington. It’s walkable to Waterfront Park and a very short drive to the Church Street Marketplace. Though it’s on a busy street we didn’t experience street noise at all. Comfy beds and a nice kitchen made things homey. Kelly was super responsive to our needs. Would stay again!

5 STARS! Very cozy property filled with wonderful amenities. Large spacious bedrooms and great outdoor space and seating area. Beautiful views of Lake Champlain from many spaces in the house. We had a such a wonderful stay, so much so we booked it again for another few days! Tamara was an excellent host. Would love to visit again :)

My parents & I & my older daughter were there for my youngest daughter’s college graduation from UVM. It was our second stay & this time we rented both apartments. It is an ideal location to downtown & we loved Barrio Bakery & the close by yoga studio! My father enjoyed the well planned & well tended gardens from the deck overlooking the back yard.

Great stay everything was as advertised and great communication with host.

We had our honeymoon there and had an excellent time. It was a very beautiful area and very friendly people around the Airbnb was beautiful and just as described.

I really enjoyed the quiet, private porch. A Cup of coffee, while watching the birds and hearing the river nearby was quite relaxing. Great location for viewing the stars at night & long slow strolls on the country dirt road.

Vanessa's home in downtown Burlington is comfortable, clean and easy to access. Close to restaurants, and at about 30 min walking to the University of Vermont or to Lake Champlain.

My husband and I stayed for a week. It was a great place for us, very large, and very clean and well maintained. We also loved that it's so walkable. We were able to walk to restaurants, markets, the lake, you name it. The host was always friendly and responsive when we needed anything. The beds were very comfortable and it was lovely to be able to sit in the backyard and on the little screened porch when we had nice weather. We had a wonderful stay!

This place is wonderful- I highly recommend it! We had a bigger group so we booked the upstairs and downstairs and it worked great for us. Abbott was very good, responsive and helpful whenever we reached out. The room s were spotless, very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The lighting is great- lots of dimmers so you can't adjust the light to your liking. they had a lot of snacks there for us and waters in the fridge. And the off street parking is a plus. It's an easy quick walk down to Church Street or the lake. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time at Thomas’ Mansfield Suite. Very comfortable and well appointed. We found a binder with news articles regarding the history of the building, which was housed UVM’s outdoors club in the 60’s. We would absolutely rent again.
