Tent holiday rentals in Chichester District

We had a great time here. The location was picturesque and there was plenty to do on our week long stay. The tent was ideal and surprised us with how roomy it was. Check in was easy as in they text to let you know it’s ready and you just turn up at your tent. Each tent has a BBQ kettle, fire pit, two deckchairs and a large beanbag so lounging outside is to be encouraged. The views are great and the animals on site are friendly enough. The only gripe we have (completely not anything the venue can solve) is the Earwigs! They get absolutely everywhere! If you’re going to stay here then be prepared and maybe bring some airtight containers (even then they’d find a way in!). The play barn area and farm activities are spot on and there’s a lot to do to keep you entertained and although you have to pay, if you’re staying on site then it’s pay once and use as many times as you like after. We ate at The Cow twice whilst we were here and the food was great, service was spot on and for a reasonable price as well. We had a great time here and we’ll definitely be making a return visit, albeit we’ll probably try a lodge next time round. Thanks for having us!

Just incredible. Perfect for the dog and the toddler and us adults! We had such a fab time and will be back next year for sure. Chloe was awesome 😎

Lovely location. Outside space was perfect for the kids. Plenty of space for outdoor activities. Nothing like we’ve stayed in before, kids loved it. Nice and quiet. The pigs in the field next to the tent came right over for belly rubs! Nice and clean inside and has everything you need. Would definitely return. 10/10

The tent was amidst nature and felt peaceful throughout, 4 of us in our mid-20s stayed together although it would better suited for a family in terms of the sleeping situation. There was a seating area outside the tent along with a campfire area for cooking (ps: bring your own charcoal and cooking utensils) There is a coastal path near the property (15min walk), although you get there via road crossing the ferry. We had to leave before the 2nd night due to our return ferry timing but we enjoyed the time spent on site.

Coming to this amazing place, you will find the owners beyond helpful. They can't do enough to make sure your time here is the best. Wonderful large tents, soft beds and wonderful space to relax. Communal teepee is fantastic with games to play for the children. Swimming pond and fish pond are great. the views are breathtaking.

We had such a wonderful stay here. Not just ana amazing camping experience with comfy bed and warm covers but so much extra to do like games, kayaking and fire pit. We hope to be back.

I come from CA and Thomas's spot was not too dissimilar from our camping in the states. Which was great because a lot of England from my experience isn't like this. The bus stops near by and is very easy to use. If using the bus it can take sometime getting to other spots on the island from the campground so depending how long of a stay you have, keep that in mind. I should have communicated a specific check in time because when I arrived I did not have service to contact Thomas but we managed to work it out. All in all a beautiful location with walking paths straight from the campsite. Bonus that there was a plug in spot for my phone as I did not have a portable charger.

Lovely stay. Fantastic location with some beautiful walks all around and nice pubs for lunch and a drink. Friendly hosts who made the whole experience simple and easy. Would definitely recommend and book again.

We booked this last minute and were not disappointed. We went with our 5 year old and he loved it! All the adventures of camping but with the added luxury of comfortable beds, cosy duvets and a cute, yet well equipped, kitchen and a barbecue. We had hot chocolate by the fire pit and watched the stars - a perfect evening! Janet was so accommodating - great communication and we even had a tour to see the chickens, baby ducks, chicks, geese and goats! Would highly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful site, very well thought out extras dotted around (sun loungers by the swimming lake and stretch tent, outdoor games, hammocks, BBQs etc). Tents are great and stood up well to the thunderstorm that struck while we were there! We loved our stay and would have stayed longer if we could have.

My partner and I stayed one night here and it was so peaceful and relaxing! The bell tent we stayed in was just beautiful, lovely decor inside, a comfortable bed + lots of little extras we werent expecting. The bathroom/showers were immaculate aswell. We had a lovely time here watching the deer run across the field from our bell tent bed! Ours hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable, really lovely people! I would definatley recommend staying here ! In fact I already have to some of my close friends. Thankyou

Great location, secluded and yet very well-equipped. Amazing if you’re looking to get away for a bit. Fantastic surroundings too!

We've been coming to Charlie's farm every summer for the past 3 years. It's an amazing place to unwind and relax. Charlie is a great host. We will be back!

Another enjoyable visit to Charlie's camping fields. We love coming here for the peace and quiet, and to switch off. Lots of space for us to kick a ball, play rounders etc. and Charlie is always on hand for anything we might have needed like firewood.

Our stay with Paul was absolutely fantastic. When I say that himself and Eleanor went the extra mile I am doing them no justice. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and their set up is absolutely stunning. What was supposed to be a quick stop gap in a sponsored walk across south Kent was one of the highlights of our 100 mile walk. Waking up to deer outside was absolutely amazing. There are ingenious facilities and the most peaceful place I've been in a long time. The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer...and I hope to be back very soon.

A nice campsite in a great location. Check in was easy and the instructions were great to get us there. The kitchen is well equipped and the bell tent was nice and clean upon arrival. Thanks for having us!

a wonderful place to stay with great surroundings and facilities

I was a reluctant camper having never been before but my husband and 2 children (9&6) encouraged me to book up as we wanted to return to visit the IOW. I am so glad I came across Troopers camp site as it was a brilliant couple of nights. The bell tent was so welcoming and cozy, beds far more comfortable than I imagined and the little touches like the basket of goodies, spare blankets, camping chairs and gas burner/kettle were very welcome additions. We found the outdoor field shower to be a great experience and considering it was solar powered it was mostly warm. The portaloos were well stocked with toilet roll and wipes and clean. We absolutely loved waking up to the beautiful countryside views and horses in the field next door. So peaceful despite the road. We visited the Crown and Three Bishops as recommended and found both to be dog and child friendly and serving great food, thanks for the recommendation! Overall it’s been a really fun experience, we would definitely return

Best campsite I’ve ever been to. Charlie will look after you so well. Great facilities but really felt like wild camping with how far he puts you away from other campers.Will definitely be back.
