Cabin holiday rentals in Channel Islands of California

Finding a rental in this area of Los Angeles is very rare. It’s near where my daughter and her family live so we could walk there every day without having to hire an Uber or Lyft. Plus the area is quiet and felt very safe. We would definitely stay there again.

This is a very charming house. It is in a quiet neighborhood that is beautiful with great hiking. It is older, but charming.

Awesome private house with incredible views. Rural environs surrounded by nature in a great location - only a 15-minute ride to Santa Barbara and Carpentaria, 10 minutes to Summerland and <10 minutes to the beach. Rustic but very comfortable and clean house/furnishings/beds, 2.5 baths and well stocked kitchen. Hot tub was a great bonus to soak and take in the views and listen to nature. Host Paul was very responsive and flexible. Cost was solid to have such a great environment so close to great towns to visit. Highly recommended ABnB.

What a cool place! Kagel Canyon is so close, yet feels world's away from the frantic pace of LA. The house is great - and you quickly get used to the canyon's winding roads to a parking spot right at the gate to the property. Host Vic is very responsive - when we had one issue the first evening, he was there in less than 10 minutes to correct it. He and his co-host are dedicated to making improvements to create a perfect guest experience - even brought over a new table & chairs for the patio while we were there. Kagel Canyon may be further away from downtown LA & Hollywood, but has a similar vibe to Laurel and Topanga canyons, legendary hangouts of the late 60's. Quirky and interesting homes amongst the giant trees - fun to stroll the streets even if there's alot of up and down hiking. Especially enjoyed hiking up the trail from nearby Veranda Dr. - 360° views down into the canyon and into the mountains. Very quickly felt at home - a perfect respite from a very busy city. 5 stars!

If you live in LA and looking to get out of the hustle and bustle without going far, this is perfect location. Not even an hour from me and it felt like i was in a different country. Very romantic and peaceful. There is no TV which is supposed to be the point, but at the end of it I was watching a movie on my laptop on the beyond cozy bed. The cedar hot tub was beyond amazing also. Late night I was worried about getting Postmates, but there were so many places that delivered there (we had to drive down to the main gate to meet the driver, which was its own good time also. So no complaints) Highly recommend this to anyone

It was perfect, better than perfect: Top of line new Airstream ✅ Best sauna you’ll ever sit in ✅ Best hot tub ✅ Wood burning fire pit with proper seating ✅ Best Landscaping and well curated outside lighting ✅ coolest outdoor shower you’ll actually enjoy using ✅ every amenity (robes, slippers, easy to use coffee machine, audio, most comfortable patio seating ever, towels, blankets, huge fridge). It was magical. The host is soooooo responsive. We’re big coffee drinkers and we used all the instant cups for the maker so I mentioned it. We noticed a platter full of the coffee maker things (I don’t know what they’re called) placed by the front. It was like the coffee fairy payed us a visit. They asked if we needed anything after we checked in and before checking out. The bed was super comfy. I can go on.

Off the beaten path cottage that truly feels like another world. When you walk in, you feel right at home.

A beautiful little cabin, just as shown in photos. Really great nature all around and only a short drive into LA with loads to do or anywhere else amongst the Santa Monica Mountains for more wonderful nature. Erica is a very friendly and helpful host, we'd definitely recommend staying ☺️

My third stay and loved it as always - highly recommend for a Topanga getaway!

This was our second stay at this lovely airbnb. We loved our second stay just as much as the first. We really loved sitting on the deck in the afternoons. We even learned about a nearby park (Elysian Park) that has some trails that were perfect for exercising our dog that came with us. We appreciated the snacks for people and treats for dogs that come with a stay here too.

My partner and I came up for the weekend and absolutely loved this getaway. Tatyana’s spot was so cozy and peaceful. It was nice to disconnect and be with nature for the weekend. We stayed only for one night but definitely would love to go back for an entire weekend. The bed was very comfy and the shower was AMAZING.

A calm, private oasis away from the hustle and bustle of LA. Check in could not have been easier. The place looks exactly like the photos, has everything you need to cook, and we had the best sleep of our lives. The shower is also really fabulous and stocked with clean products. Parvin is super responsive for anything you need, and an amazingly caring host. The private patio is such a lovely touch! Not only is the neighborhood walkable (with coffee shops and restaurants nearby) but I was also able to make it to the beaches in Playa del Rey, Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica, Venice, etc. so easily - all without getting on the freeway and dealing with the crazy LA traffic. Also, if you travel with a pet - you really can't find a better place to stay. My dog didn't want to leave!

Had a great weekend staying at Captain Book’s place! Check in was smooth and such a cool vibe with the location. It’s not a cruise ship, but it is a great place to stay and enjoy a very unique experience. Already planning on when I can come back and do it again.

My only regret is that I didn’t stay another day. This place is so serene- you can really step out of the hustle and soak in nature and the quiet. Love the hammock and all the places to sit. Watching the moon cross the sky from the windows around the bed- a true treehouse experience.

Perfect spot to stay at. Can walk to anywhere you need/want to go, great host that was very helpful and responsive. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Wonderful experience. Fabulous place. Vincent and his family are a pleasure, and the room, full of sweet and interesting items, colorful, with a great bed, is on a gorgeous terrace with lush and planted huge cactus bougainvillea and agave. Great place.

Jesus’s home was very clean and updated with beautiful modern farm house touches! So much thoughtfulness went into their welcome basket, to baking supplies, fully stocked coffee bar, variety of fun complimentary snack cupboard, and lavender soaking tub supplies! Property was very private and quiet with lots of outdoor seating along with a big Santa Maria charcoal grill. Definitely would recommend 100%

Wonderful wonderful wonderful experience! I stayed here after driving cross country from Atlanta and was totally taken by surprise how lovely this place was. Lisa was an absolute goddess of a host and I feel thankful to have met her. The space feels quite “off the grid” though it isn’t far from PCH and other access points. The trailer is definitely rustic (very cold some nights but all the more reason to bundle up!) but quite charming and super inviting once you get settled in. Honestly this is the condensed version of my experience but if you are feeling drawn to this place for whatever reason… book it! Thank you Lisa and Cross Bull Ranch for making me feel at home and for being such a beautiful space. Aho!

This stay was one of the most peaceful stays I’ve been on! You can hear the birds and fountain in the morning. There’s a cute cafe we got to go to, as well. The location is very beautiful with all the greenery. The place was just as described and John was very helpful and kind to us.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We were able to save quite a bit of money on our trip, as this property has a kitchen with stove and microwave, making it easy for us to cook for ourselves and enjoy the lovely garden outside while eating. The bedroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The peacocks were an added bonus - we really enjoyed hearing and seeing them around the property. We got to enjoy lots of beautiful weather and gorgeous scenery during our stay, and would recommend this location to someone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled location.
