This is a perfect "old-school" rather than corporate AirBnB. Rakel and her husband Edo and their family live in the building and they are wonderfully attentive and helpful. You can certainly disappear to your room if you want privacy, but you'll probably want to chat with Rakel and get her recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. They have lovingly restored the entire old-town building and our room was perfect and a great value. Xativa is sleepy during the day, but in the evening the squares are full of life. A most enjoyable stay!

Isabel & Javi were our most gracious, helpful hosts yet. Always happy to help and also happy to respect our privacy. The accommodation was very quiet and peaceful, just what we had hoped for.

Ruben's smart, modern apartment is very conveniently situated within a few minutes walk from the station as well as supermarkets, independent shops and cafés. A short walk through some shady treelined parks is the fascinating old town and the gradual walk up to the historic castle. I can certainly recommend a few days stay with Ruben's apartment as your base.

José is an amazing host. Pre arrival José made sure everything was already well communicated and made is feel at ease. As we were a little bit earlier the. The regular checkin time, José made sure it was perfectly fine. On the first day we were unfortunate and got in a minor car crash. Not knowing who to call, I reached out to José. He left what he was doing right away and came to help out with the paperwork and help with the police. He sure made us feel as if we had a friend near during our entire stay. The house is HUGE and very comfortable. Everything you need is available. 2 tv’s large bed and all the linnen. The roof terrace was great to sit after a long warm day and have a drink and relax. Simat de Valdegna was cosy, the people were insanely friendly and the environment is beautiful. We had plenty of walks by the vaca river and our children got to play in several playgrounds in the area. Having a supermarket directly in front of the house was also great! Amazing stay!
