Holiday rentals with lake access in Carleton County

The home went above and beyond my expectations! From the moment you walk in, there’s lots of pieces with funny quotes around the house that give you a good chuckle and make the place more inviting. There were kayaks available, life jackets, and even a wet suit! There were board games and a room with a double monitor taking our gaming experience over the top. A fire pit right by the water making it a the perfect place to lay and look at the stars. The host was very friendly and extremely responsive, I would definitely book again! We enjoyed our stay at the quaint 1850s-built farmhouse. We had ample space for our group. The bbq and large dining room ensured we had a wonderful evening of laughter and games. Thank you for the hospitality!

Our time at Small Wonder was nothing short of magical. This was a 25+ year trip in the making to Maine and we were so please. Traci has a beautiful camp that has all the amenities of home and beyond. It was well stocked with all that we needed and more and the property was better than any photo shown. We enjoyed the remoteness and the sense of a community within the area and would love to spend more time here and at East Grand Lake in the future. Thank you from our family to yours! Myself and my wife from Dublin, Ireland along with our adult daughter living in Melbourne , Australia spent 3 nights in Rob's cottage beside a lake in Lakeville Corner, New Brunswick, Canada. The cottage and surrounding area were exactly as described by Rob in his listing and for us it was the perfect location as we availed of the 2 kayaks provided via the property frontage straight onto the water. We also availed of the 2 bikes which we used along with a further bike hired in Fredericton( an easy 30 min drive away from Rob's cottage)on that town's network of off-road cycletracks alongside and near the St John's River. We also took a car ride to Fundy National Park visiting Alma and several stop off points for hikes etc. Rob's communication was excellent in all respects. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend Rob's cottage in all respects including in terms of location, cleanliness and facilties provided.

The house is very beautiful and easily accommodated 10 guests. The lake front view and dock was outstanding. Dwayne was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay.

This was our third time at the house and we were so glad to be back. The JetBlue flight arrives late and it was really nice to stay in a house we now know so well. We came this time to see the leaves and the view out the back across Lake Echo was spectacular. Thanks Tammy. Hope to be back up there next summer

The peace and tranquility overlooking the river while relaxing in the hot tub was amazing! We're so happy we chose to stay out of town to enjoy the countryside.

Kelley and Norm made us feel right at home. Their place is located on a wonderful lake, was very clean, and well appointed. A wonderful spot!

We had a great time at Tina’s place. Her hospitality is above and beyond. There were many thoughtful touches everywhere you look. Comfy bed and soft pillows. The setting is beautiful, peaceful and private as well as spacious. Perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring. Can’t wait to return. Thank you Tina for sharing your gem by the lake side!

April's place was so clean and was even better than the pictures. The house was so well stocked with everything you would need including excellent pots and pans. The welcome bag of local coffee and candy jar was a lovely touch. I will definitely book again

Thank you for your patience, Cindy's place.The view of the river every morning was very much awake.Enchanted by the ever-changing scenery. The facilities of the building were sufficient, and the kitchen was very much used. The bedroom and sleeping comfort were very good.Our daily purpose was in Fredericton, but even if we were a little far away, we met Cindy and her husband, and our stay was an irreplaceable memory. I would love to visit again! Thank you very much.

Amazing cabin on a private lake that I did swim across and it was amazing. It's larger than I gathered from the photos, a good place for a large group or families. Super private, and Brent was such a nice host. Just too bad there were really a lot of bugs, but the enclosed porch was helpful. Very fun stay!

The location was perfect, beautiful surroundings and the cottage had everything we needed.

Would definitely stay here again! It was way better then I imagined. Loved waking up and sitting out in the porch in front of the water, and the water was warm! Easy access for kayaks and the house was cozy. We felt at home and didn't want to leave!

Rachel was so kind and even had a card and treat waiting for us once we arrived. Everything was perfect! Beautiful scenery and right on the lake. There are only two things I would note. There isn’t a microwave just and the shower fluctuates from hot to cold randomly.

It was the perfect place to celebrate my 40th birthday weekend with a few friends! Right from the start we were made to feel welcome with a welcome basket with everything we needed for smores including fire starters and sticks in addition to nice handwritten note. We all loved the cottage inside with more than enough room for both kids and adults to relax or play games, sleep and eat supper. Outside was also great with the bbq, fire pit, propane fire table, especially at night with the amazing stars!), yard games and of course the beautiful lake especially with the leaves at this time of year! We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and a little swimming repeatedly including the last morning after the hosts graciously allowed us to check out a couple hour later! We, especially the kids, also enjoyed the visits from a very friendly pug the hosts had told us would likely drop by. All in all I highly recommend staying at Shore Thing Cottage! We will definitely consider coming back!
